Crystal Man in the Mega Man ruby spears cartoon (1994)
(08/12/2024.)
Somehow found the energy to draw all of this in one day
Day darkens and so does the road Not all of fortune is silver and gold Now tell me you've found one to have and to hold Cause here there be monsters Believe that, just trust me I know
Or: an AU where Breakman's most trusted wolves are the ones 'supposedly' framing him.

crystal man's crystals arent actually gemstones at all. theyre some sort of crystallized chemical from a supercritical fluid. upon being struck, this substance rapidly crystallizes and produces huge amounts of heat which makes for a devastating weapon.
another robot being drenched in this fluid and then flung hard enough would obviously be very bad. sudden unstoppable overheating, joints getting jammed in place, crystals stabbing through casing and seams, etc. not good not good at all. similar story for most things subjected to this stuff
crystal himself is basically immune to this stuff due to his vital parts being very protected and hidden deep within layers of armor, lots of cooling, having another substance capable of dissolving these crystals when necessary and having more limbs just in case.
crystal uses this stuff for way more than just as a weapon however. to reinforce his unstable build, to decorate himself, to decorate his whereabouts, to make things out of. the softness of the crystals make it surprisingly easy to carve, etch and polish them amongst other things. could be most closely compared to selenite, except with a propensity to produce incredibly sharp dust and fragments.
