AN OATH HAD BEEN TAKEN ------to honor those that had been lost, and fight for those that yet survive. it is a mantra of togetherness, of never forgetting, of family. nara holds them so dear to her heart, that it would be cruel to mock such ideals now, but would it not also be selfish to forgo her own role in all of this --- her own destiny? surely he understands that --- he the weaver of her fate, he who brought her to this place --- he must.
❛ perhaps they do too much, ❜ she hedges, willing the sorrow to fade from her eyes ( for even a hero so determined is plagued with a fear of her own demise ) replacing it with the firmest resolve, hoping the former does not shine through. ❛ they would give their very lives, and for what ? ❜ ‘tis, in truth, the greatest of hypocrisies. each one of her companions would give up everything for any one of the others, nara included, but their sacrifice would be for naught if they cannot win this fight.
