Helsinki, Finland -- Fresh from Cascine’s singles label CSCN is AVES’ “Gem of the Ocean” ft. JFDR. Knowing JFDR from a feature on a Lapalux track, I was already prepared to be mesmerized by this track. With “Gem of the Ocean,” AVES creates a dreamy and lush track that truly feels breathtaking. JFDR’s vocals have a wispiness to them that gives the song a soft wistfulness to it. The song is just about 4.5 minutes long and it perfectly captures the feeling of longing for something. “Gem of the Ocean” is delicate yet packed with some plush layers of synth that’ll keep you coming back.
