I hope that it’s reasonable to say that at this point it’s possible to read from and be inspired by the base concepts in lovecraft, without becoming problematic. He was a deeply bigoted person but his texts did contain base concepts of horror that are completely usable in this day. If you want a compelling reason why Hbomberguy did a pretty good video essay, where he addressed lovecraft’s faults but also why his stories resonated. Here
Saying that lovecraft’s work or the concepts within are inherently worthless due to him being a bigot is kind of an issue. Yes, condemn his views and condemn him as you like (I freaking do!!!) but that doesn’t make taking something concept wise from his works is inherently a problem itself.
It’s not like listening to music by someone who’s said really shitty things. You can consume content and take things away from it when the person is problematic- if you actively consider what purpose those concepts were used for. So yeah obviously i agree that lovecraft shouldn’t be seen as some literary god, he had some awful views and wasn’t remotely private about them! But his work still can have value. I’m not 100% pro “death of the author” but seriously.

Ctulu are an extreme metal band from Germany that were founded in 2004 & this is their fourth release. In their own words, the band describes the new album as follows: “We have been collecting pathetic disappointments for the last three years and now we have transformed them into hate.” The opening song of any album is one of the most important parts of any album.
