This "Wooton Desk" was patented "Oct. 6, 1874," and made in Indianapolis, Indiana. This spectacular complete office opens to reveal an interior with birdseye or curly maple including cubbyholes or mailboxes in the doors and small drawers below, Solid walnut with raised burl panels and deep moldings.

This "Standard Grade" desk measures 46" wide when closed, 7' 7" wide when open, 75" tall, 30" deep and the desktop is 30" high.

William S. Wooten ended production of these desks in 1884. They were exhibited at the American Centennial Exhibition in Philadelphia in 1876, and owned by luminaries including President U. S. Grant, Queen Victoria, John D. Rockefeller and Joseph Pulitzer.

been rotating dansby/ian as a pairing in my head but also, like, look at their little pre game ritual of standing at the top step of the dugout together before every game.

I can't find the clip now, but when Ian asked pca about his experience playing in wrigley, he mentioned that this is a routine they do at wrigley where they'll stand at the top step and take it in during the 15 or so minutes before the game starts.

also thinking about when dansby was a free agent, he hung out with ian at the gold glove ceremony, and ian's eyes lit up when dansby asked him about chicago and the cubs. "summer in chicago is the best place on earth" is how ian tried to sell him on it.

Simon and Brittany cleaned the final cubby on the desk and now it looks AMAZING!
