So.

Whenever you hit a cucco in ALttP, OoT, BotW, all the other games where this happens, a swarm (do cuccos come in swarms?) of cuccos appear and start attacking you. There is no escaping them. You just have to sit there and accept your end.

But.

Where do these cuccos come from?? The one being attacked lets out a cry of alarm and suddenly there are cuccos.

Did all cuccos from across Hyrule and/or the timelines teleport to where you are, or were they all in hiding and you just couldn't see them until one of their own is being attacked or do the cuccos just spawn out of nowhere simply to attack you and then disappear from existence?

Or am I overthinking this.

One upon a time

Sage is a wild little ten-year-old who raises cuccos with her elder aunt. Her parents went exploring to find some sheikah tech for their experiment and she's patiently waiting for their return. Meanwhile, she gets to take care of the birds and attend all types of fun markets and festivals around Haneto. Her aunt even takes her to Kakariko for the summer celebration each year.

She meets Kass during spring when he and his master come to Haneto for the big Spring Festival. He's still young and the spring molt is *a process*. Turns out, this little girl has more than one tool in her pocket to help with that mess! (secretly she's thinking about the price this much down feather could cost) (she wont say a think though, she just wants to help)

Hyrule Countryside is a little fic/sketch pile I worked on in 2022 to 2024 when I played BotW and became completely obsessed with that world. It was also my big return to fandoms in general and it felt very very good. As usual, I made characters to explore the regular people of that universe xD Sage has no power, no big skill and especially no place in the main story. Cause I want what? No responsibility. It's just a nice cottage core story <3

[ZELDA CREATORS] Look at all of these Cuccos. ft. Kaepora and Goosedorf.

I can finally show all what I was up to for most of January since returning from Japan. All month, it is just me drawing BIRBS for the Zelda Creators' February Banner. The setting theme was OoT Kakariko Village.

Originally, Kaepora Gaebora was my only contribution to the Banner. But then, I got a little silly and then started drawing Cuccos...and more Cuccos...until Goosedorf appeared because why not!
