JNU PG and ADOP Admissions 2025-26: Application Process Begins
The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has officially opened the admission process for its Postgraduate (PG) and Advanced Diploma of Proficiency (ADOP) programs for the academic session 2025-26. The online application window began on May 23, 2025, and will remain open until 11:50 PM on June 16, 2025.
According to the official announcement, the application correction window will be available from June 17 to 18, 2025, allowing candidates to make necessary corrections to their submitted forms. JNU plans to release the first merit list on June 27, followed by the second list on July 5, and the third list on July 14. The final date for completing the admission and registration process has been set for August 14, 2025.
The university’s notification issued on May 23 invites eligible candidates who have appeared for the CUET (PG) 2025 exam, the results of which were declared by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on May 6, to submit their applications.
How to Apply:
Interested candidates can submit their applications online via the official websites — jnuee.jnu.ac.in and jnu.ac.in. To access the portal, applicants will need to log in with their NTA application number and date of birth.
Before applying, candidates are encouraged to carefully read the e-prospectus and verify their eligibility. The prospectus contains essential details about intake capacity, eligibility criteria, and program-specific requirements, all of which are also available on the admission portals.

Physical Verification:
Candidates selected in the merit lists will be required to undergo physical verification on specified dates in July (21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 25th, 28th, and 29th). There will also be an additional verification session on August 13 and 14 for those selected in the final merit list.
JNU has also announced that it may release a final call for admissions against vacant seats by August 8, 2025. Candidates are advised to stay updated by regularly checking the official JNU admission websites.
PhD Admissions Update:
In addition, JNU has set up a committee to explore the possibility of conducting an in-house entrance exam for PhD admissions in Korean Language, Arts and Aesthetics, and Labour Studies. These subjects are not currently covered under the UGC’s National Eligibility Test (NET), prompting the university to seek alternatives. The final decision on the admissions process for these PhD programs remains uncertain, with the current admission cycle scheduled to conclude on December 4, 2025.
