Cullen headcanon

Post trespasser when the Inquisitor and Cullen have settled down he is still having nightmares every so often and his wife wakes him gently and holds him.

Once their baby comes he never even stirs in his sleep when he dozes off with the baby on his chest. The comforting presence of his child, the warmth from their tiny body and smell of their soft hair somehow subconsciously eases his mind. He doesn’t remember the last time he slept so peacefully.

You don’t have to stay here” Cullen said, still sounding a little groggy. “I’m feeling much better and I’m sure you have a thousand things to do.”

Gwen tried to smile as she said, “I know, but I’m going stay until I know for certain this fever has passed.”

“Why?” Cullen asked.

Her lips were now trembling as she reached out and touched Cullen’s face, now no longer hot with fever. He really had no idea she realized.

“Because I lov-care about you. And that’s what you do when you care for someone.”

Cullen gave her a tired smile and took hold of the hand she had pressed against his face. He then gave it a gentle kiss and muttered a  soft ‘thank you’, and Gwen felt a tear slide down the side of her face.

Dear Penth this little story was really really amazing T^T ah, all the Cullen/Amell feels. Do you plan to continue it someday? Wow and I thought I slowly would come over the "Cullen is singing" fact and now I have the headcanon that he sings a soothing lullaby or something he remembers from his past to Solona because she is just so frightend and and and awww man - my heart *sobs*

In a perfect world I’d like to finish it before DAI comes out (of course I’d also like to finish ATMB by then as well, so who knows if that will be possible).  It’s going to be a shorter one I think.  Maybe four or five chapters — more like The Perfect Teyrna, just telling Cullen and Solona’s angsty sad story. 

Now you realize he has to sing her a lullaby…

I’m also thinking that Anders, who was older when he was brought to the circle arrives about the same time as Solona. 

I’m glad you liked it! 

Now we know why Cullen always looks so sad in DA2.

  It is an angsty and feely kind of story, and a very sad one.  The Cullen is the Cullen in All That Might Be. I always had a thing for Cullen, even pasty stuttering Cullen in DA Origins.  He will be slightly smoother in the story, but still a bit awkward.  I've been thinking about this story for ages, but the confirmation that Cullen will be a companion makes me want to write it before DA:I comes out and destroys all my head canons....
