Those are behind us now. I wore the yellow #TeamSweden jersey & jacket from Dynasty Curling. One of the guys from Finland totally recognized it and smiled in acknowledgement. Overheard at #CurlingNightInAmerica taping: Have you heard about @beadzbydre ? Not only do I own #BeadzbyDre I gifted 2 of them to 🐐 @niklasedin & he wore them throughout #WMCC2021 *fangirl squee* The #curlingGOAT has both the Keystone (originally designed by Dreylin in honor of Kaitlyn Lawes) and the Ali (first bracelet Dreylin designed). I like to wear the Ali and Keystone bracelets together w/ the Beach. I highly recommend folks check out BeadzByDre to find out more about the history of both the bracelets & their designer, especially if you want to support a young man while channeling your inner curling legend. With or without #NikEdinsHat . . Word of warning for international folks since BeadzByDre is based in Canada: I ordered my #bracelets on March 16th intending for them to be a birthday present for myself (my birthday is April 1st) and Nik’s bracelets timed for Worlds which he received w/o incident. Unfortunately, the first shipment got lost so I didn’t get the replacement bracelets until 2 months later and only after Dreylin contacted FedEx. I guess better late than never - I still mourn the loss of the Team Kevin Koe toque I won on FB last year that you can’t buy anywhere that I never received, presumably due to C19 related international shipping issues (I won something in the Sandra Schmirler Foundation auction after the Brier/Scotties that was a full month delayed and only after the foundation opened an inquiry w/ the shipping company). . . Olympic gold medalist Matt Hamilton not only knows about BeadzByDre but was also seen wearing one of the bracelets during CNIA. I actually had a funny moment w/ the legendary Sue Cassidy in the bathroom in Irvine of all places. We were washing our hands and she asked if I knew about the bracelets so I showed her my wrist. I commissioned a Dunkin video in honor of 🐐 @niklasedin ‘s birthday 🎂 Dunkin looks like a grumpy dog, but he’s the sweetest boy ever based on all the IG stories I’ve seen over the years. He and Kirby make such a good duo in that odd couple sort of way w/ all their tricks. One of his tricks involves holding a knife. I wondered if I could’ve commissioned that vid - seems appropriate since the #curlingGOAT has a history of going under the knife. Maybe next year? 🤔 . . May the @teamniklasedin skip & the greatest of all time IMHO avoid going under the knife for many years to come (he just had another surgery after winning his historic 5th Worlds gold). Curling season starts again next month. One of the commentators referred to #curlingGOAT 🐐 @niklasedin as a Swedish #livinglegend at the beginning of the tiebreaker this morning. I can get behind this nikname 😉 Glad @teamniklasedin bested Team Gunnlaugson in the tiebreaker and earn their spot in the quarterfinals. They will face off against Team Donuts aka Team Gushue whose social media team seems to have hinted they wanted to face off against my #Icevengers 🤔 Good luck and good #curling guys 👊💪 You got this! One of the moments from the game was right at the beginning when commentators talked about the #bestlead in the world @cr1ppa shooting in the high 90s. He’s not at 100% because he let a rock roll out LOL. Glad the #bestcurlinglead shaved too 😉 Then there was a moment in the 4th end when commentators were talking about the history of 8-enders in the Slams & were disappointed Team Edin opted for the much easier draw for 2 instead of something crazy for way more points 😂 I legit yelled “DON’T BE GREEDY!” at my screen. Commentators had telestrator fun times saying this might’ve been a record for number of arrows on the screen (my guess is no).
