#FBF to my birthday trip to #LasVegas earlier this year for #WMCC2022 when I finally got to meet some of my favorite curlers @sixten.totzek @joshsutor Super stoked at the news earlier this week when it was announced that 610 will be one of the 2023 Curling Cares Calendar athletes - he’s helping raise money for the Sandra Schmirler Foundation. I’m planning to promote him at Oktoberfest this weekend (Team TotzeKapp will have German jerseys on) & hope curlers and curling fans alike in the US can contribute to the fundraising efforts. It’s still #StarWarsDay so the #MayThe4th celebrations continue. We all know how much more I love the Germans now after meeting them at Curling Night In America and #WMCC2022 and while none of them have dead ringer lookalikes in the #StarWars universe in the way that 🐐 Niklas Edin looks like Ewan McGregor (see previous post), the Germans are actually the more fandom appropriate curling team for today since my friends and I dressed up as #BabyYoda to cheer them on in Las Vegas (amazing how far “but it’s my birthday trip” can go when your friends really know and love you).
