What do you think sksw Zelda's bracelets (and those things in her hair) are made of?
My first guess would be Goddess Plumes, but if you have any other ideas, I'd love to hear it!
Initially, that's what I thought, too. The color certainly doesn't looks like many other items.
However...
While they do have the same bluish-purple to them, that's where the similarities end. The Goddess Plume is distinctly more crystalline, with a broader range of colors in warmer, brighter, but less saturated shades.
If they WERE made of Goddess Plumes, they should definitely have a lighter palette and sparkle more, with white highlights to them.
My next thought was the star fragments from Spirit Tracks.
They're a common treasure you can find just about anywhere, and the purples and blues more strongly match Zelda's jewelry.
But we're met again with the crystalline problem, as well as a distinct lack of pink or slate gray-green.
Then there's Dusk Relics, from the Silent Realm.
These have a much closer match in texture, but they fall on the opposite color side of Star Fragments, not having enough blue in them.
But eventually, finally, I found myself a match.
It's the perfect texture, smooth and reflective without ever showing a clear reflection. It has all the right colors, albeit under a slightly brighter lighting source
And none of the colors on here contradict what we see in the jewelry.
We also see this kind of color palette in the crests of Hylia we activate around the world.
As well as the various Goddess Walls we can summon with Hylia’s harp.
But what does this mean?
Personally, I think that this is the color of Hylia’s magic.
In Ocarina of Time, we’re shown briefly what the three Golden Goddesses are thought to look like:
As they take off into the sky, they leave streaks of light behind them, ones that we’ve come to associate with anything having to do with them.
But Hylia never ascended. She stayed right where she was, orchestrating the events that needed to happen to make Link into the hero Hyrule needed. I think her magic would look something like this:
As time goes on and things she’s left behind fade, they start to dull and lose their color match.
In the Goddess Plumes, Hylia’s feathers begin to take on a golden hue.
In star fragments, particles of her magic attach themselves to any power they can and grow like minerals, surrounding long-dead gratitude crystals.
Why didn't Ghirahim just climb/teleport up the Goddess Statue and use the Triforce to revive Demise?
Personally, I don't think he can.
The term "god" in Zelda lore is used very loosely, more in line with Japanese more minor/niche gods than the omniscient/omnipotent god of Christianity. And in most contexts, it's usually used to mean "not mortal."
If it were a matter of not being a god, just that, then Zelda wouldn't have had to become a human in the first place; she could have made herself into a light spirit, like in Twilight Princess, or a dragon, like her guardians of the world.
We never get any confirmation that Ghirahim or Fi can die. Ghriahim's lost when Demise loses his sword, and Fi goes to sleep forever.
As far as the Triforce is concerned, they're not mortal.
But even more important is the Triforce itself.
It doesn't like to stay whole.
If someone touches it without a perfect balance of its three virtues, it shatters to bits. We see it used very sparingly throughout the series; it's shown more often in pieces than it is intact. The only reason Link can even use it is because he went through four dungeons to temper his soul.
Even if he fit the requirements for mortality, the most Ghirahim could do would be to take a piece for himself.
It wouldn't give him what he wants. Especially when Zelda's right there, vulnerable and waiting to be stolen
Bee I'm seeing these out-of-boundaries screenshots and I can't stop laughing I'm shaking my hands are trembling I just fixed a typo for the eighth time now--
I’m so sorry for Mike Wizowski’ing red’s face but I finally got all three! @sunnylaurels Here you go!
And I found out I could glitchless speedrun the Skyward Sword tutorial in ~20 minutes damageless with no practice so aksdhlshad there is hope for me
For anyone wanting to look for these guys, I’m pretty sure they cycle through based on game flags. I got green right out the door, got red after the Zelda singing cutscene, and got blue after the green tunic. Repeated attempts without progressing story only got me the same guy over and over
Could you tell us about Prima's opinions on her successor(s)?
Hoo boy:
Sky: A touch envious at first, then goes through a period of not being able to stand him for awhile (because of how he gets along with her best friend), then eventually comes around
Four: Loves that little dude
Time: A mix of respect and pity
Legend: VERY proud of him
Hyrule: "I'm his mother now"
Wind: Likes to encourage his expressiveness
Twilight: Works alongside him pretty well; they have similar ethics
I realize that my timing could be a lot better, but I want to hear your opinion on something. The first botw2(bo2w?) trailer. Yes, the one that's more than two years old.
It's just so interesting. Especially the reversed audio.
And that little whisper.
(Unless you already made a post two years ago? In which case, I'm really sorry... could you point me at it?)
skahdjhsd sunny. My first post on this blog was March 20th I even went by a different username then
Fun fact! Depending on how you listen to it, the reversed audio says "Poor Hyrule, for Link has found the body" over and over until the last line, "Poor Hyrule, for Link is gone-"
