FOR EVERY VICTORY WHILST in the world of humans, something always stood in the way of both velvet room attendants to halt any progress. A wall preventing them from going further, forcing twins to push themselves like their special guests. Of course, there was a vast difference between the two; while guests had to strengthen their persona to its utmost potential, Theodore had to strengthen his will, his mind, and one day he will become mentally strong enough!
Today was their biggest challenge; the escalator. As each step rose from who knows where and began to rise, both velvet room attendants were standing at the very bottom. Bizarre looks were shot their way from people passing by yet it didn’t affect either of them, bodies completely still whilst they struggle to understand the timing of it.
❝Dear sister, I recall you telling me a theory for how we can advance up the escalator; would you care to test it?❞
@cursedarcana : "I'm sure you could if you wanted. You seem nice enough."
Right? Right? Just being a jujutsu exorcist is such a hard life, no time for dating, might die one day~ You understand me, Yoko-chan!”
@cursedarcana : "You mean like pulling pranks??"
Yes, pranks ♡
@cursedarcana : "Is.. that how much you put in normally or?"
“This is my get serious coffee.”
@cursedarcana : Offers some replacement mochi!
“Yay!” Hope regained in humanity! Saved another day from joining Suguru’s cult!
After all that occurred in Shibuya, seeing that Nanami was alive was the best news she could've hoped for. Sure, her left eye was covered by a bandage and her body ached all over, but that didn't matter now. The fact she didn't lose the person who meant the most to her did. The silverette slowly forced herself to sit up, ignoring how her body ached in protest. It was all worth it to weakly wrap her arms around him. "I'm so glad you're okay.."
IT WAS STRANGE AWAKENING in the hospital missing his left eye and various third degree burns covering his body, the stinging being the cause of returning to consciousness. The aftershocks of the Shibuya incident were surely occurring whilst he lay here, yet he lacked the strength to pull himself out of bed and back onto the battlefield; even the nurses at his bedside recommended he stay bedridden until further notice. Thus, the entire day was spent staring at the ceiling and rubbing fingers over the eyepatch covering an eye that no longer existed (Nanami's doubtful he'll be able to get another one), and occasionally falling in and out of consciousness.
A few days later and he managed to climb out of bed (albeit without his nurses around) and clung to the walls to keep his shaking legs from collapsing; breathing is heavy and the necktie around his neck feels considerably more tighter than normal as he fumbled pathetically through the hallway. Nanami couldn't afford to sit around and do nothing, especially when he'd caught wind of the room Nix was staying in. At least she happened to be on the same floor he was on otherwise he wouldn't have gotten out of bed in the first place, shakily reaching for the handle and sliding the door open.
It wasn't long after entering Nix's room that woman in question awoke and their eyes locked and a pair of equally shaky arms wrap around his body as Nanami makes a noise of surprise, unused to this sudden affection.

“ you shouldn’t be out here. it’s not safe. “
❝SHOULDN'T I BE SAYING that to you? I am the more experienced sorcerer between us, after all.❞ There was no need for Nix's worry or concern. Nanami could handle and kill most curses that came his way with ease. A group of curses? Not an issue. For her, though, this may be the opposite. Nix was still learning -- still growing as a sorcerer whereas Nanami had reached his peak and was going to go no further than where he was now. If anyone should be worried wandering around this area, it was her. ❝These curses are a bit too strong for you, Nix. You have to have sensed it yourself.❞ He approached, soon coming to a stop beside her as he glanced forward, what traces of said curses remained lingering in the air like a waning scent. ❝Since this area seems secluded, a Curtain doesn't need to be put up...❞ His words trailed off, such whispered as if he was talking more to himself than her. Nanami paused, pensive, his gaze shifting back to Nix. ❝Head back. I'll handle this on my own.❞
It wouldn't take long.
