Turn it face up any time for its mana cost if it’s a creature card.)

DOS2 Commander: Divine Majesty—Reveal and Review

Divine Majesty is one of four new Commander decks released as part of Magic: The Gathering's Larian Studios cross-over Universes Beyond Commander: Divinity Original Sin 2. This precon comes packed with tempting reprints and an interesting strategic mix of aggressive combat-oriented creature strats mixed with a light stax theme which will deprive your opponents of the resources they need to keep up with your aggressive game plan. But how well do these two sides of the deck play together—and is it worth the $40 price tag this deck is commanding at most local gamestores? That's what we're here to find out.

Divine Majesty—A Thousand Worlds

The next instalment in my custom MTG series, this time introducing the Divine Majesty deck in more detail. I have definitely improved markedly as a designer since some of these designs were first made, but it's fun to look back on what I was doing a couple of months ago and I did enjoy the task of writing in the "review" style.

With how long this took to put together, I would not expect the next instalment anytime soon, but I do hope to work through all four of the decks eventually!

Through four preconstructed Commander decks, players will explore the story of Larian Studio's critically acclaimed CCRPG, taking the role of one of four factions as they vie to control the powers of godhood and determine the fate of Rivellon.

The first article from my "little" custom MTG project - done, of course, in the style of an official MTG announcement/spoiler article! With an initial look at the story of DOS2 and the four factions that make up the four decks, plus two "spoiler" cards for each deck to give you a broad overview of what each deck cares about.

Name: Time Theft Color: Blue Cmc: 9 Rarity: Mythic Set: Heroes of Immaria Set Note: Splashy Sorcery Role: Multiplayer Political Card Personal Notes: There are some cards in magic that doesn’t really make sense in duel settings. There’s the Tempting Offer cycle as well as the earlier Join Forces cycle, both from Commander supplemental sets. Heroes of Immaria, in a way, is a gigantic EDH supplemental set made for multiplayer magic in a draft environment. So Time Theft being a worse Time Stretch in duel magic is something I am fine with, as it is a completely ridiculous card when played correctly. Art: Maria Trepalina - The Time’s Rosary

I’ve been on a custom card roll, so to speak, recently. I’ve got some momentum so I’m gonna keep going while I still can.

Here we have artwork simply titled Oracle, by the amazing Gerónimo Ribaya. This one screamed full art promo, but I had never used the clear bordered template before.

My thinking was that this woman would be a master of metal magics from looking at on of her arms, which appears to have been replaced with a mechanical one, so she would not only be Esper colors, she herself would be from Esper. And since Commander/EDH is my main format I thought she should work well with multiplayer settings.

While I feel like she could be completely out of control in the right environment, I don’t think she would be stupidly broken. In a game where there aren’t many artifacts being played she could strike out.

But maybe I’m wrong, let me know what you think!
