Thinking about CW PPG and how since Mojo was supposed to be a human in that show.

Because of this, in the timeline where this show came out, Mojo x Utonium would've been the most popular fan ship of the show.

They keep on trying to do 'adult' remakes of the wrong franchises. They think the people want aged up PPG & WINX club but I know what the people want, and what they want is a CW reboot of Alvin and the chipmunks.

Simon has gifted child burnout, Alvin is a rampaging rock star, and Theodore is reeling from their months at sea in chipwrecked. The first season will cover the chipmunks' turbulent twenties and end on an ominous zoom into a poster featuring the chipettes reunion. It will make millions I swear.

I'm so tired of teenage and young adult PowerPuff Girls scenarios, you know what I wanna see?

"Three pint-sized heroes protected Townsville from evil but now they're all grown up and have the hardest task ahead of them, Parenthood"

I wanna see the girls as parents, the varying experiences and different ways motherhood can just turn out. How being a mother is so different for even siblings raised the same way, and how their personalities and approaches play out. Not to mention how they now are in their father's shoes and how could he just let them go out and fight? And maybe some don't even have powers! Sibling Dynamics!

I know its significantly less common nowadays, but being 25 and having a 5-year-old isn't crazy, as that's the age the girls were when they went out and used their powers. Hell, if you wanted to keep the weird bad girl Bubbles 'slut' thing why did they do that that's so cringe they can have her have a teen pregnancy! And if they wanna have the reuniting thing, they can do the Good Old, "Parent died and now we're together for the funeral/house etc." (ala Charmed)

you know, the cw ppg script is extra sad bc there IS a story to be told about Blossom fearing what she's capable of; there IS a story to be told about Bubbles obsessing over her public image while Buttercup resents it; there IS a story to be told about the girls regretting a childhood spent as public figures in a dangerous profession.

that story just has to be told by someone who cares about the source material. not cash-grabbing production companies.

tbh i wish people would stop comparing cruella and cw’s ppg to fanfiction, because honestly fanfiction can be way better than that shit

fanfiction authors: take concepts, characters, and environments from the original work and transform it into something new, insteresting, and satisfying. oftentimes the author works a full-time job and squeezes writing into their spare time, yet puts this beautiful work of fiction online for FREE

reboot writers: take the general premise of a well-known work as well as its characters’ names and slap it onto something completely different in style, audience, and story for the sake of a quick buck (bonus points if there’s a stereotypical minority there to make the show ‘woke’). and these folks are getting PAID to do this shit????
