Who is running this blog? - Hi I'm Kayla! Or known as @kaylatechheart on my main! Wait hold up, the icon and banner ain't your art, who made this? - Icon is made by @sitrusjigglypuff and Banner is made by @yokokinawa What is an AU? - Stands for "Alternate Universe". What kind of AU is this? - This is a vent au, it is meant portray a lot of my emotions and experiences within this AU. A vent AU is meant to portray the creators thoughts and feelings, mostly bad but sometimes positive. Some things in the AU might be changed drastically due to fitting the creators needs, but I'll try my best to keep it close to how canon might act. This AU is also a roleswap AU as well, meaning the characters original roles will be swapped around. What is the AU about? - An AU that focuses on Blossom's struggles with her new role upon the loss of her old one, as well as feeling estranged from her sisters and as well as the new leadership she is in as Buttercup took over the role. Is this AU built from scratch or canon diverged at some point in time? - It is actually diverged! It is diverged from the PPG DC Comic of Issue 20 called "Bow Jest". The ending is not the same that ends in the comic. Where and when this AU takes place? - This AU takes place around 5 years into the future, however started off sometime between events of Season 4 and Season 5 + Along with the DC Comic "Bow Jest" However, due to a timeline shift, some events of Season 5 will be shifted to Season 3 and 4 as it wouldn't fit the narrative. Will some characters be changed drastically? - For the AU, I did in a way change them, but only be backed up by the reason of their development or amplify an ALREADY existing bad trait they had in the show/comic. How old are the girls in this AU? - The girls are around 10 years old and is in 4th grade. However, the AU story wise will start when they were 5 years old back in Kindergarten. But those are for more story build up, current timeline is the main focus since Blossom went though a lot over the years and is meant to reflect on her condition now. Are there any OCs in this AU? - Yes, only as minor characters. Are the Powerpunks in this AU? - Unsure, but for now, I'll just say no. This is a vent AU, so is everything that you experienced word for word, picture to picture is real? - Yes and no, I wrote stuff based on what happened to me but it is not exact, some scenes can be representative how I felt, while others I write or hint what happened to me. Note that majority of the stuff in this AU that has my experiences is swapped and shifted around for plot points or altered due to it being too heavy for my limits in writing or to represent others that hurt me in a more broader tone. Is anyone directly referenced in this AU? - No how it works is that I took the bad traits of multiple people I know of and shove them all into one box. Or middle ground/gray area traits. The only thing that is directly referenced is the roles they were given. Am I allowed to draw fanart for this AU? Considering it is a vent AU? - Mmmm... I say yes just as long the fanart is appropriate. You can draw stuff about the story, angst and wholesome moments. I would not mind this AU being drawn with other AUs like giving them hugs or something. What does the word "Dedecance" mean? I don't see it in the dictionary? - Dedecance is a play on word for 2 words, "dedication" and "decadent". So the meaning is kinda representing both in a way, however I would use the meaning "decadent" more for the AU. Originally it was a misspelled "decadent" but since I used the spelling a lot by that point (and that I actually liked the way that it's spelled) that I kept it and repurposed the word to a more deeper meaning. Here is a Dictionary Term if you wanted something more logical and grounded. Dedecance - Adjective : A term used to describe someone's dedication towards self indulgence, even if its morals and values became of a heavy deterioration or decline overtime.
