Cyberweek 2022 #5 - Redraw @cyberweek2022

I don’t usually draw Cyberchase stuff, so this is a screenshot redraw. This scene is from A Perfect Fit where the kids just barely make it up to a platform after Hacker activates the lava trap.

Happy start to Cyberweek! For Day 1, I chose the Cybersite Canalia!

I’m not even sure what to say, I find Canalia really endearing and interesting as a Cybersite. It’s probably my favorite introduced after season 5! It’s episode, Back to Canalia’s future, packs a punch! There’s time traveling and a high speed chase. I think they made the topic of conserving water as interesting as they possibly could.

The site itself is so interesting. It’s obviously base off of Venice with water instead of roads and boats instead of cars. I think if there was a little more splash of color, it would look more wacky and fun like the rest of Cyberspace! Maybe some more waves to... reflect (ok I’m sorry) the whole water thing. And maybe a few other fun shapes like stars!

As for the people of Canalia, I think they look adorable. If you take a good look at them, they all have very unique nose shapes! I think their heads should be pushed more into a cylinder shape, maybe tapered in different ways, and their overall appearance would benefit from a more robotic motif. Since rain is important to them, I think it would be cute if they were always prepared for it. Either always carrying umbrellas or wearing ponchos (clear ones would be fun and wouldn’t stop them from having a fun outfit!).

Cyberweek 2022 #2: Friendship @cyberweek2022

I know everyone’s also drawing the squad members but man I love Matt and Digit. They’re bros. I often think of Didge calling him Mattie, and moments like in Find Those Gleamers where Matt’s like “Thanks, buddy!!!”

Yeah I am a total sucker for winter wonderlands... Penguia is just so pretty, even in the flash episodes.

Cyberweek 2022 #4 - OCs @cyberweek2022

If you’ve been in the Cyberchase fandom in the past two years or so (or heck, even if you’ve known me before then,) you may or may not have seen her at least once... 

This is Maribo, a little robot (called a Parabo) that stands at 2 feet tall. She’s just one bot out of a family of 99. They were all made by one guy named Dr. Hiroshi. They live on Earth in a secluded town.

He nearly dooms his entire family by accidentally (and unknowingly) telling Hacker about his creations, as they are all forced into Cyberspace, but Maribo ends up being left behind in the chaos. She joins Team Motherboard and helps to rescue her father and siblings. Afterwards, she permanently joins the Squad (but keeps in touch with her family, of course)

In all honesty, Mari has been running around in my brain for many many years now. She and her family are my main “multiverse” characters, to be placed in many different worlds depending on my current fixation. I expected this particular story to fade with time, but it never did. I have some really great friends to thank for that.

Here, Mari is taking a portal to Cyberspace. I was stuck for a very very long time (weeks, in fact) trying to compose a picture for this prompt that I liked, but there are just... way too many characters in this story to fit on one canvas, lol. I liked her pose here, though and the background and the shading were super fun.

Cyberweek 2022 #3 - Color @cyberweek2022

Fit to be Heroes is... actually a decent Flash episode. I like the part where Inez and Matt go into this cave to get a clear crystal. One part of the scene has a shot with all sorts of crystal shapes w/ different colors, and I really vibe with that. Shoutouts to the background artists for this show.
