> how does fusion work?
fusion, for all intents and purposes, is when 2 or more beings who wield the ability come in contact and synchronize minds long enough to fuse their bodies.
in fusion, both (or every) side is conscious, and take control at any moment. the process of fusion combines the strength of all parties to a REASONABLE LEVEL.
fusions do not have their own personalities (except for extremely rare cases), and instead bring about traits within each/every side to artificially form a personality. they will combine and twist traits the parties share in common, though apparent mannerisms still make it easy to tell who is in control.

above is a list of every canon being created with the passive ability to fuse, the list reads from left to right:
rewrite, xenophanes, majin, lord x, unused, exe, fatal error, cyclops, no more innocence (makoto), and 2011x
it should be noted that beings with direct descent from the void are able to fuse, meaning there is likely more than this, however:
beings who are not on this list can fuse with beings who are.
this means that while they may not have the ability to fuse at their own will, a person who is on this list can fuse with them even without this passive ability.
however, certain beings can force others into fusion even if they could not fuse normally.
