Cypars childhood story was one of my favorites. Him being royalty, having a very strict abusive upbringing.
The family had a lineage of butlers who were raised to be servants but also people of power, appointed specifically to royalty to deal with them.
Cypar, knowing his parents butler, who was a horrible man who used his power to make decisions that would give him more power and make lives of others worse, was terrified of what his appointed butler would be.
He tried to rebel, tried to run away, tried to have friends or talk to literally anyone outside of his family, but he was punished for it. Having to spend all his time on study, to become a docile braindead cog in the system.
He had his items destroyed for misbehaving, he received a shock collar.
But when he got appointed his own butler, the boy wasnt cruel. He was also scared to do anything out of his training orders, but he didnt want to hurt Cypar. They grew fond of each other and Cypar gained confidence to rebel again against his parents and to overthrow their, and especially their butlers, orders.
Once he finally did, he received punishment again. His butler was murdered as a sign for him to not rebel. Its not only his parents and their butler who are keeping him on a leash. Royalty and the whole system are there to abuse him and maintain their power at all costs.
