Omg this is such a good ask waitt I haven’t thought about this
I think there are a few possible options but I do have a favorite.
For one it could be a dark fountain but that feels a bit too direct for me- like in deltarune, its whole thing is dark fountains and just throwing a dark world into waterfall of all places without explanation seems a bit too random for toby
After honestly thinking abt this i think it’s gonna be some sort of tree, something that matches with deltarunes whole ‘man behind the tree’, that might also have some sort of egg related thing to it- like it’s random and ominous enough to where we really don’t know what it is so we would be left wondering wtf it could even be for like- months, if not years just trying to figure out the connections.
though it’s also quite possible it has nothing to do with deltarune, so it could just be— Gaster, I think something would be different about his sprite, like the eyes being switched or he’s slightly to tall or his smile is just one pixel too wide or just something small like that.
or it could be smthn with the annoying dog as a goofy little “fuck you” to the theorist who thought it would be something really important LMAOO
