I made a rough map of the Kingdom of Magnolia, the place that my D&D campaign takes place. I need to color it make regions be more distinct but it suffices.
The campaign takes place roughly 60 years after and event the people call the Collapse. Where a powerful demon had possessed the Queen and unleashed mass destruction upon the region surrounding the capital. This also released what is known as the Demon Plague, a plague that drives people to the point of insanity, attacking people akin to zombies. There is currently no known cure to this plague, as not even True Resurrection spells can truly erase the plague.
The people try their best to survive, as neighboring countries have blockaded Magnolia. Infected roam the plains, the mountains, and even the deserts of the Kingdom, and is even capable of infecting animals and monsters alike. Among the aftermath of the initial event, several important towns and cities were founded to protect people. Swordbreak is closest in proximity to the Vendor wastes, the ruined valley closest to the Capital. Darkwater is a harbor that tries to bring in fish to feed people through trade. And The City of Clouds is the largest city, walled off completely and protected by the mayor, a Silver Dragon named Sylvester, a dragon who takes the well being of the people and survivors in the kingdom very seriously.
Things of late have become increasingly dangerous as infected have become exceedingly more active and coordinated at the fault of the Lieutenants of the Demon Queen, people of great power granted even more powers that drained their very sanity.
The cult of the Demon Queen, advid followers, have also come to be more active, putting the people in high tense times. And the appearance of a savage and sadistic man in blue robes has put everyone in high tension.
