Absolutely so fucking random but it took me more than a decade to notice that Lavi and Allen are fucking soulmates
This is literally me spamming a friend cause I honestly thought I was speaking through my ass.
I'M SORRY FOR NOT REALISING BUT HELLO??? THE FUCKING IMPLICATIONS???
I'm gonna cry, i waited years, like a full decade to reread the manga to notice ANYTHING.
I absolutely adore the development of Katsura Hoshino’s drawing style, the manga author of D.Gray Man.
It is so gorgeous, the outfits and their details, the appearances of characters, all gothic, steampunk , moon, mystic patterns, everything!!!
And I adore how she draws characters with different haircolors in different covers and issues. Like it’s just experimenting and whatever feels like it matches their outfits. Leanalee had greenish hair when she had the black-blue uniform and her hair was purple-ish when her uniform has more black-pink-red. Because it just matches better, I bet some nitpicky people are annoyed at the thing with the hair/eye colors, but I love ittt.
Joker of Grey
Watercolor and white ink on cold pressed paper
Guess who caught up/reread DGM. I wanted to draw Allen with Crowned Clown in a fading-into-grey feel, like he's there, but not really there. (Initially I thought of fading into white, but on laying down the first layer aka before the white ink,I decided grey would make more sense)
The Order knows her as a ghost scribe. The Science Division calls her a myth ink. To most, she's just a name on old parchment—if they remember her at all.
Meant to stay forgotten. A footnote in someone else's war.
Then, came a boy who wasn't supposed to ask questions. A Bookman-in-training who should've written her out. But instead... stayed.
Mischa Heaven was the story no one dared to read.
And he… was the one fool who turned the pages.
Now echoes stir in the Order's walls. Blood sings in the margins. A forgotten covenant and a girl who was never meant to be remembered might be the one story they can't afford to erase.
This is a tale of memory, of myth, of ink, and the fragile ache of almost and might-have-beens.
Read at your own risk.
But if you do—please remember her right.
OK DGM IS OFF THE HIATUS LIST BECAUSE APPARENTLY MY GOAT LAVI HAS FINALLY COME HOME
Happy birthday to Yuu, Happy birthday to Yuu, Happy birthday Yuu kandaaaaaa, happy birthday to Yuu! 🎉 - Lavi, probably
