Like the idea of Wealwell losing his eccentricities and mannerisms (i.e. “straight bitch”) because realizing his family has been in Zood but hasn’t come to check on Maxwell. Hasn’t come to see if his little brother is still alive.

It’s the one thing that stays constant under his ever changing frivolity. Maxwell is his family, and those bitches in wing suits are pissing him off.

I support the Wealwell killing Hatwell agenda. Meeting adjourned.

I often put on repeats of Fantasy High Freshman Year as I’m going to sleep (familiar background noise and all that jazz) and I was just struck with the thought that Gorthalax made that deal with Johnny Spells very purposefully.

He had some situational awareness from inside the gem, he knew his daughter was approaching high school age, and he knew Johnny was a weirdo who hung around underage girls. You can’t tell me this demon dad didn’t put two and two together and happened to come up with condition of Johnny not being able to have sex. It’s funny and it’s also him protecting his kid.

Comfrey spent her life running from her own heart. The heart that felt too much to stay still and when she finally slowed down enough, she let herself go out in a blaze of glory.

And Pappy knows this is the end she wanted, but it doesn’t dismiss Pappy’s want for their end to have been together. That maybe in another life, they could’ve boarded the Zephyr together for the last time, and gone out holding each other in sleep- rings on their fingers where they had stayed their entire lives.

Comfrey strikes me as someone who is not fully there any more. Not in like an old age way, but as someone who has been functioning a little bit like an immortal being.

There’s that trope where the beings that live the longest lose their humanity and disconnect from all the personal connections they had. It’s somewhat of a god complex that keeps Comfrey coming back to Zood’s past to “solve” major conflicts but write off any damage she does as a necessary sacrifice.

She reminds me a bit of Icarus, but continuing to fly when she’s on fire and burning everything around her.

Me screaming at the screen at these disaster vampires as they fumble the opportunity to have an invisible ghost helper who can go through walls and spy on people during the day. That also knows extensive lore on the founding of the town but I guess let’s just keep telling him we’re Jesus /lh

Another post because for once I don’t have the patience to wait for the whole season to come out before I watch a D20 season.

I’m totally on Maxwell’s side about being mostly honest to the random NPC’s. In the adventuring party episode his reasoning was about how everyone had their own thing going on and it’s sooo true for this season.

Like two crew mates already left for their own main character reasons. The dinosaurs had no reason to lie either, they knew nothing but their weird colonialism snapshot stuck in bodies with no thumbs.

Just saying, I relate to being on the “damp blanket” side of things lol
