As we head into our last episode I wanted to say thank you to all my fellow Anna and Bates fans for being such a great fandom to be a part of. The loyalty, enthusiasm, insight, support and creativity. Anna and Bates deserve no less and you delivered!

Being a part of the fandom has been amazing and at times life wrecking. Sharing in the love of Anna and Bates with people of all ages and backgrounds, from all over the world has been incredible. I'll treasure the friendships and the fun. Fitting for Anna and Bates, it wasn't always sunny and there were friendships lost and hurt feelings. Sometimes it felt like a war against Julian Fellowes who created my favorite characters, gave them dialogue I cherish and yet still wrote story that seemed intent on turning viewers off them. But like Anna and Bates we never gave up hope, never doubted. Finally it looks like we can wrap their on-screen story up with the baby they've longed for and see them off with the brightest future we can imagine... and hopefully continue to explore in fanfic.  :)

Downton Abbey - The Finale: Episode 9

Spratt's moonlighting venture is threatened by Denker's interference. Daisy may have missed her chance with an admirer. Isobel receives devastating news and joins forces with Violet when the Greys' scheming takes a sinister turn. The day that Anna and Bates have been waiting for arrives as family and servants prepare to welcome 1926.

2. Will Anna and Bates come full circle? Anna's pregnancy survived a couple of scares in season 6, and the time period covered by the Christmas episode (July through to December) guarantees that she'll be ready to drop at some point during the special. After six seasons of constant heartbreak, bad fortune and extended periods of false imprisonment for both Anna and Bates, will they finally luck out and deliver a happy, healthy child? Fingers crossed...
