DRAGON AGE: THE VEILGUARD💭
“You would think such understanding would stop me from making terrible mistakes—you would be wrong.” — Solas, during In Hushed Whispers.
Solas is a wise man, but he far from infallible—that much should be clear, knowing his motive.
Solas knows the consequences of using red lyrium: corruption, and thus, death. He scorns the use of blight magic, calls Corypheus a “blight-corrupted madman,” and heavily criticizes the Grey Wardens for meddling in the events of “Here Lies the Abyss.”
And yet, we are still faced with clear imagery showing a corrupted Fen’Harel. He is depicted with ominous, red eyes and an aura of corruption and cracked paint surrounding him. Why?
“I walk the Din’anshiral. There is only death on this journey. I would not have you see what I become.” — Solas, in Trespasser.
Why? Because the Inquisitor took his only other option. At the end of “Doom Upon All the World,” Corypheus is destroyed, and the orb is left in pieces. Solas has no choice but to rely on a last resort.
Or, rather, he sees no other choice. Another interesting piece is that, in the fresco above, we now know that it is none other than Solas who is facing Fen’Harel. He may be summoning it, or perhaps casting a spell, but the nature of the piece seems more confrontational.
Solas is not a monster—he is a man at war with himself. He is locked in battle with the part of himself that sees hope and worth in a changed world and the part of himself that desires to atone for his mistakes... by tearing down the Veil and restoring the world of his time.
And it may well be in our hands to save him from himself.

I <3 my "Rooks" especially my Qunari ^_^
On the subject, I’d be willing to bet that our Inquisitor’s relationship with Solas will be so important in DA:IV.
A high-approval or romanced Inquisitor may just be enough of an influence that Solas, as a whole, is more empathetic, more willing to lay down his cause for a lover or a friend.
A low-approval Inquisitor, however, may result in an apathetic Solas, a man who will not listen to reason, and a plan that can only be stopped by his death.
Will we be seeing more from Bioware on Dragon Age soon?
The community is alive with excitement and speculation over the Dragon Age teaser we have received after years of waiting. More on the teaser itself later—for now, when will we be seeing Dragon Age again?
You may remember that, ahead of this announcement, we were getting reports from various sources (seeming to have originated from VentureBeat) stating that Dragon Age is currently in early-development, and that we should expect a release date closer to 2021.
This report may or may not be true, but now we have information that is coming directly from Bioware. Let’s take a look at that.
