“Come on! Say Papa!” Anthony was kneeling in front of his 12 month old daughter. Sophia chewing on her blanket, her tiny hands reaching out to her father.

“May I ask what you are doing…Anthony!”

Tensing, Anthony twisted his body to see you standing in the doorway. It was rather cute seeing your husband dote over his daughter, you always knew if you had a girl she would be wrapped around his finger. You should have known he would try and pull a stunt like this.

“Just teaching the little one how to talk.”

Shaking your head you smiled at the man kneeling next to him. Grabbing Anthony’s hand you knew it would mean the world of Sophia’s first words would be Papa.

“Come on sweetie, say Papa….pa-pa” you sounded out for her, Anthony’s hands tightening on yours.

Watching her parents intently, Sophia clutched her blank. Her eyes darting between you and Anthony, her lips trembling. “P…Pa.”

Leaning in, a hopeful smile formed on Anthony’s face.

“Pa…pa….papa!”

“Aha!Yes! That’s my Princess!” A laugh escaped Anthony’s lips as he scooped his daughter up as she squealed out in happiness. “Did you hear her!?”

“Papa! Papa!”Standing up, you gave the pair a smile.Anthony looked so happy, it was cute watching the pair.

“We should tell your mother.”

Shaking his head, Anthony tugged you to his side as he placed a kiss to yours and Sophia’s head. “No…we can tell her later. I want to enjoy this with the two girls I love.”

“Papa!Papa!”

Your father laughed, clapping your brother on the shoulder as they jogged down the stairs. “Papa”! you smiled, shutting the book and getting off the chair. “Where you two off to?” you ask, walking to the doorway where they had stopped. 

“Hunting, darling.” Anthony tells you, your brother smiles at you before heading out the door. “I shall get the horses papa!” he shouts, jogging down the steps o Aubrey Hall. 

“Horses?” you ask the man and he nods. “We are going to ride out and do a bit of hunting. Your mother is upstairs if you wish to do continue with your embroidery.” Anthony gives you a curt nod before walking out the doors. 

Your father tends to have a bias without even realizing it. He favoured your brother rather than you. You were the first born, the next Viscount- no, Viscountess Bridgerton and he skipped you over in every sense possible. 

Your grandmother, Violet would tell you that’s how your father was; old fashioned and put his trust in men. She did mentioned that your grandfather, Edmund, was never that way and that he would have loved you. She said you were also exactly like your father; bullheaded and stubborn, never willing to admit when you’re wrong. 

Partly why you two tended to drift in opposite directions.

It was later in the evening when your father and brother returned from their hunting excursion. “Get cleaned up, we shall have dinner in a few moments.” He tells your brother and heads towards his study. 

You wait until the door shuts before walking over and knocking. “Come in!” he calls and you do, finding him sitting at his desk. 

“Y/n,” he hums, glancing at the papers on his desk. “What can I do for you, my dear?” 

You straightening your back, folding your arms over your chest. “Why do you always pass over me?” 

“Pardon ?” he stands, mirroring your stance. 

“You always pick him over me; hunting, estate planning, horse riding, trips to the ton. Always him.” 

Your father looks at you, head titled to the side. The anger visible on your face. He rounds the desk, taking a few steps towards you. 

“I am the first born. I am the next viscountess. I do not care about a silly, time old tradition, papa. It is rightfully mine and it is time you realize that.” 

Anthony’s hands reaching for yours and your father pulls you a bit closer to him, his hands now cupping your cheeks. “You, my darling, will always be my little girl. I did not know you would be interested in that. I’m sorry that you felt that way.”

Bridgerton Halloween

Five-year-old Charlotte wants to dress up as Elsa from Frozen. But she's sad because her brothers are not willing to dress up as Anna and all her cousins are all far away in their own homes.

Kate tries to console little Charlotte, "But Elsa travels to the mountains all alone and she builds an ice castle all by herself, isn't that cool? You could still go as Elsa, darling."

Charlotte shakes her head, "And Anna comes searching for Elsa because she misses her. And they hug. Elsa has Anna. I don't have anyone!" Her crying intensifies.

Kate feels sad to see her crying, yet she can't help but feel frustrated at her daughter's stubborn streak, something that she definitely inherited from her Papa because Kate is sure that she was never this stubborn.

Anthony sees his precious daughter holding her blue dress, sitting on the floor, at tears falling from her eyes and he feels his heart bursting. Kate is sitting next to her, stroking her hair, looking helpless.

Anthony walks up to them and sits beside Charlotte.

"What's wrong, sweetheart?" He asks her gently.

Charlotte hiccups, "Nothing!" Pouting harder.

"You're crying because of nothing?"

Charlotte shakes her head, "I am not crying."

Anthony bites back a smile, "So why are your eyes wet?"

Charlotte starts crying harder.

Anthony pulls his daughter into his lap and holds her.

"It's okay, sweetie. Tell me what it is and I promise, I'll help you."

Anthony can feel Charlotte shaking her head into his shoulder, her crying subdues.

"You won't."

He strokes her back, "You're right. I won't be able to help if you won't even tell me the problem. Won't you tell your poor Papa what's troubling you?"

Charlotte stays silent and Anthony waits for her.

After a few seconds, she replies, her voice small, "I wanted to dress up as Elsa for Halloween."

"Wanted? You don't want to anymore?"

Charlotte shakes her head.

"Do you want to dress up as someone else then? We could go get new costumes."

She shakes her head again.

"Do you not want to dress up at all?"

She shakes her head.

Anthony looks up at Kate for help.

"She wants to dress up as Elsa but there's no one to dress up as Anna! I told her it's okay if she goes as Elsa without Anna but she does not want that." Kate shrugs at him.

Anthony holds Charlotte by her shoulder and looks into her teary, brown eyes, "Why do you need Anna to go with you, darling? Isn't it awesome for Elsa to go by herself?"

Charlotte looks down and softly whispers, "Ed and Miles are going together. And I don't have anyone with me."

Anthony feels his heart melt. He smiles softy at Kate in understanding.

Kate feels her eyes tear up, hearing her little daughter's confession. Maybe she's not so much different to herself, she muses.

Kate bites her lips and stares at her husband and daughter as Anthony replies,

"Aww, sweetheart. That's not true. You have Papa. I can dress up as Anna. We can show the boys how it's done."

Charlotte looks up at Anthony, her eyes wide, looking hopeful, "You'll really dress up as Anna, Papa?"

Anthony nods his head vigorously, "For my favorite daughter? Definitely!"

Charlotte smiles widely and throws her tiny arms around Anthony, hugging him.

"You're the best, Papa. You're the best Papa. Thank you!" Charlotte shouts.

Anthony hugs back, smiling widely.

"Sweetheart? Maybe you should ask Amma if she could find Elsa costume for me?" Anthony whispers into Charlotte's ear.

Charlotte looks at Kate, her eyes hopeful, "Please Amma, can you find Anna's dress for Papa? Please?"

Kate smiles at Charlotte, "Yes, ma'am! We'll find the best dress for your Papa to dress up as Anna."

Charlotte cheers, "Thank you, Amma! Thank you!" She climbs down from Anthony’s lap and climbs into Kate's.

Kate hugs her tight and gives her a kiss on her head.

And that's how Anthony Bridgerton, aged 38 dressed up as Anna from Frozen and went Trick or Treating with his daughter, Charlotte dressed up as Queen Elsa for Halloween 👸

Kate Bridgerton, not wanting to waste an opportunity to embarrass her stupid boys (and teach a lesson), dressed up as Olaf. Charlotte was overjoyed to see her Amma’s surprise costume ☃️

Edmund and Miles Bridgerton were seen running, wearing plain masks. Whether it was a part of costume or out of embarrassment of their parent's antics, nobody knows 👻 🎃

I have an idea 🥹 maybe a conversation between Anthony and Violet when his first baby is born? Like he introduced the baby to her and he tells him it’s crazy to think where her when he did t see himself being a dad 🤍

A/n: more dad!Anthony. Yay, this is precious.

If she was being honest Violet never thought that Anthony would ever have a child. She knew it might have been a cruel thought but her boy was just so set in her ways she was not even sure he wanted a family but then he met you. Something that she will always be grateful for.

It did not take long for Anthony to be smitten with you and soon you two were married and now she was watching her child holding his own. He looked so happy, she already knew his little girl was already wrapped around his finger. “How is Y/n?” Violet stepped closer, eager to catch a peak of the infant.

“Well, she hates that she’s not here but she wanted you too be the first one to meet Sophia.”

Violet hummed as she gave her son a smile, her arms stretched out. “Such a wonderful woman, now let me hold the little bean.”

Knowing that he had know chance in arguing with his mother Anthony reluctantly placed his daughter in her arms. “Careful!”

“Hush Anthony, you act as if I never held a child in my life….oh she has your hair.” Violet beamed, the woman could feel tears in her eyes. She could see much of Edmund looking at her granddaughter.

Clearing out his throat Anthony wished he did not feel so on edge. He knew for a fact that after you, she was the next best thing to take care of his little one though his back relaxed lightly hearing her. A smile forming on his lips. “Ah. Y/n said the same thing when she was born. Interesting that she was born with hair…I am happy that she has Y/n eyes.”

Violet sighed as she pressed a little kiss to Sophia’s head, the infant letting out a squeal of happiness. “You know I never thought you would be a father Anthony.”

“Mother-.”

“But I am grateful that I was wrong. That you met Y/n and brought Sophia into this world. Edmund would be so proud of you and I know he would love her very much.”

Clearing out his throat, Anthony suddenly blinked back the tears. He was so wrapped up in his marriage along with his daughters birth he honestly did not think about his father but hearing his mother mention him suddenly brought on the painful realization that his father would never meet you or any of his children. “Do you think so mother.”

“Anthony, dear I do not think so. I know he would, he would be proud of the man you’ve become.”Violet gave him a smile as she let Anthony take his daughter back. “For taking care of this family when you are so young yourself, for finding love, for starting your family and he is not the only one.” Placing a hand on his cheek, Violet brushed away a stray tear. “I could have not asked for a better son.”

Swallowing the sudden lump that was forming in his throat, Anthony glanced down at his sleeping infant.

“Thank you mother.”

Hi I don’t know if anyone has requested this, and also if you don’t feel comfortable it is okay, but I would love to see Anthony helping his wife during the birth of their baby Sophia 🥹🥹

A/n: this is so cute 🥺, Anthony worrying for his wife so he would demand to be in the room.

Little info I though was interesting { which is why I had Anthony open a window }

Once the mother was in labor, the birthing or lying-in rooms were heated and completely shut up to prevent the flow of air. Fear of drafts causing the mother to catch cold led to the practice of building up the fire, putting blankets over all the windows and doors, and covering every crevice. Not only would have that been uncomfortable and not allowed for adequate oxygen but it would have been a breeding ground for bacteria so it likely caused the very problem they were trying to prevent.

It was another stab to his heart, hearing your pained screams. He knew how difficult childbirth was, while he may not have known what his sister went through he still heard of the dangers from his mother. Holding your hand he did not care how much you squeezed or sobbed, he cared about you making it through his birth, he cares about seeing his child. Anthony tuned out what the Midwife said, Anthony ignored when the Midwife told him to keep the window closed.

He wasn’t about to listen to her, not when you were so warm. “It’s stifling in here! I will not have my wife pass away from heat because you think she must be surrounded by blankets and a fire with no air.” He snapped then that’s when they stopped. They weren’t about to go against him, he was the Viscount after all.

“That’s it love…keep pushing.” Anthony brought your hand to his lips kissing it gently. You were it sure how long this labor was but with your husband by your side it felt easier than being alone. You would listen to your husband give you words of encouragement, he would wipe your brow. Kissing your hand then message your shoulders and you are honestly grateful for the fresh air.

“Anthony it hurts.” You whimpered, you clutched his hand tightly as you lent into his back. His fingers rubbed your side gently.

“Shh I know it must love and you are doing to well. Just a few more pushes and our little one will be here.” Anthony then gave your head a kiss.

Biting your lip you let out a cry giving one last push, slumping into your husbands chest you get tears come to your eyes hearing the cry of your baby. You barely registered what the midwife told you, barley registered the woman cleaning you off. You were far too focused the squirming bundle in Anthony’s arms. When your husband left your side you don’t know but seeing his smile made your heart swore. He looked so happy, tears on his eyes as he stepped over to you. Sitting beside you he tugged down the little blanket the baby was swaddled in.

“Sophia, I would like for you to meet the most important woman in my life. Your mother.”

Taking your daughter you let out a small sob, smiling through your tears you let the newborn latch onto your breast to feed her, her tiny finger clutching Anthony’s.

“She’s perfect.”

“Just like her mother”

She could not believe that she was jealous of a baby and not just any baby but her brothers child. He niece! But she missed her brother, she missed the time they would spend together. Hyacinth knew she was being irrational, she loved you. You were her sister now, she loved knowing how happy your made her brother. She heard how overjoyed he was when you had told him you were pregnant.

Biting her lip she watched Anthony hold his child, little Sophia cooing up at her father. When she had heard that you were coming over she had hoped that the two would spend time together. Frowning her fingers gripped her dress as she quietly slipped out of the room.

Watching Hyacinth leave, you frowned walking over to your husband. Placing you hand on his shoulder Anthony glanced up at you, a smile on his face. “You should go see Hyacinth, I know she’s been looking forward to seeing you Anthony.” Giving a kiss to his head you took your daughter from his arms as the man slipped off to where Hyacinth walked off too.

Giving a small knock on the door, Anthony peered into the room. A small smile on his face, clearing his throat he watched her tense for a moment. “I am sorry Hyacinth.”

“You do not need to apologize brother. You should be spending time with your daughter. I am just a little sad..jealous.That is all.” She whispered.

Shaking his head he sat down next to her taking her hand gently. “You have nothing to be jealous of Hyacinth…you will always be my baby sister and I will always love you.” Anthony gave her a smile as he gave her hand a squeeze. “And I know that Sophia Hyacinth Bridgerton will love her godmother very much.”

Hyacinth gasped as her eyes went wide for a moment, she do not expect to be named after the child let alone to be the godmother. Blinking away some tears she wrapped her arms around her brother for a tight hug. Anthony rubbing her back gently as he placed a kiss to her head. “You will always be important to me, that will never change Hyacinth. I will always love you.” He whispered.

Relaxing in her brothers arms, Hyacinth smiled. She knew what her brother was saying was true and now she will do whatever it takes to make sure that Sophia was protected and loved.

“C…can I hold Sophia?”

Standing up, Anthony cleared out her throat smiling at her. “Of course you can.”
