Silly page that started out as warmup doodles assembled over time. Chaos unleashed!
Sending off 10th with a bang, here's a big beautiful boy. I'm fairly proud, but what an exhausting build! Not going to paint chaos for a while (just in time for Armageddon :)
Yeah Pert is fun, but NEW DAEMON ENGINES!
NEW DEFILER!?
Daemon Engines Dilemmas by TraitorJim
Stride forward my engine's of war!! Show no mercy, let none live, leave nothing but destruction in your shadow.
The process of building and painting this Warpsmith wasn't great but the result is very satisfying! I love the new Warpsmith but this one still has something great about it, a bit darker for some reason (could be nostalgia though)
This has to be the worst model I've ever built, every part besides the head had to be heated up and bend to fit or be straight. But it's only upwards from here, not much could top this. I absolutely love him though, a great addition to my collection for sure!
I've been making some pretty good progress on actually sitting down and painting my Maulerfiend (which I have taken to calling Fluffy). Really just need to clean it up and pick out a few more areas before I can dirty it back up correctly with some washes.
First one done and I should probably get another bottle of grime soon, maybe some other oil paints
Nurgle's Bane: A Maulerfiend built by Warpsmith Xylon to escape the domain of Maldrox the Mindless, animated by Ausar's rage and connection to Khorne just long enough for the group to breach the Space Hulk's many walls and lead a breakout attempt on the Ill Will and its sister ship the Swordwind. While the mass of armor and machinery threatened to devour Ausar whole, Krosis refused to lose another commander and friend, dragging the Chaos Lord out of the firey belly of the beast with his bare hands. After some discussion, Warpsmith Xylon rebuilt and rebound the Maulerfiend as a true daemon engine in service to the Sons of the Harvest as a mark of loyalty. However, some vestige of Ausar's soul has remained attached to the daemon weapon and when Ausar is in extreme rage, agony, or joy, the daemon will respond in kind, no matter how far away its master is. Has gained the additional moniker of Cogbreaker after tearing its way through an Imperial Knight in one swift round of combat never to be equaled again.
