I'm working on a new (rather smutty) one shot, but it decided to start like this and tbh I could see this totally happening ;P

“This day is going to suck from the beginning to the end!” Blair scoffs, closing the laptop she’s holding on her crossed legs, as she sits on the bed.
The tone of her voice, the abrupt gesture, and maybe even the fact that she threw the closed laptop on Dan’s chest wakes her boyfriend up.
“Ouch! What happened to the ‘Good morning, my love’ kiss?” He complains, sitting up.
“Traitors don’t get anything like that!” She snaps, getting up from the bed.
“Okay, I’ll pretend I didn’t hear you!” Dan scoffs, insulted, as he follows her example, but he also goes to the bathroom, getting ready for the day.
“In which way would I be a traitor?” He returns to the topic, once he’s done, as he buttons up his shirt.
His hair is still freshly showered.
“Didn’t you pretend you hadn’t heard?” Blair strikes back.
Dan glares at her, as he puts on his jacket, too.
“Well, to answer your question, this is a perfect start to being a traitor!” She grumbles, taking his already packed bag and dragging it to the threshold.
“See? This way I don’t have to go back to my place, which means more time to spend with you.” He smirks, leaning closer to her, but ends up kissing the ID document she draws from his bag’s external pocket.
“If you didn’t have to leave, there would be plenty of time to spend with me!” She holds it against him.
“Blair, I’m not going on a fun trip, it’s work. It’s my job!” Dan tries to reason with her.
“Well. You weren’t supposed to be so quick to finish your new book and have it already published!” She growls, throwing a pillow that he dodges in time, as he steps closer to her.
“And you weren’t supposed to make me feel so good and inspired that I could finish it with so little effort!” He murmurs, bending on her, but also keeping her wrists blocked, before she can grab anything else as a barrier.
He kisses her and she surrenders to him, pretty soon.
“Mm.. nice, but don’t forget I’m still very mad at you!” She retorts, parting from him.
“So mad you won’t come along to the airport?” He pouts.
“And miss the opportunity of saying goodbye to you, ‘Casablanca’ style?”
Dan chuckles.
“Blair. You know that I just have to take a flight to Boston and I'll be back in five days. Right?”
His girlfriend tugs his collar shirt.
“Don’t you dare spoil the cinematographic drama, Humphrey!”

Here's a little snippet, just to give some hints what it will be about ;P
and also the cover reveal:
Extra thrilled. but also extra nervous, because I hope I won't make a disaster with these characters!!
So far, I'm rather proud of this *O*

Dan passed a hand through his messy hair, while with the other hand he browsed some pages back, and there they were, lots of digressions, in the form of a poetry, about the hazelnut of her hair, the dark chocolate of her judging eyes, the raspberry of her lips.
- Well, fitting, for the sour things that she can say!- He chuckled, before grimacing. -However… hazelnut, dark chocolate , raspberry… this is not a girl… this is a triple scoop luxury ice cream!-
And he did want to eat her… but that’s not the point.
Shaking his head, he decided to get up, put the scratchpad in his shoulder bag and went to the bathroom to get ready for the day.
Another day of misery.
The fourth in the row after that damn class play.
At first he had wondered if he wasn’t just feeling attracted by her role, the Countess Ellen Olenska - he had loved that character in the book, after all - , but when he had pictured in his mind Blair even playing the granny and he had found her sexy anyway he had his answer.

Setting: almost at the end of ‘You know you love me’ , the second book, during Eleanor’s and Cyrus’ wedding.
Pairing: Dair, of course.
Rating: PG-13/R I guess
Disclaimer: I don't own anything but my crazy ideas, everything belongs to the amazing Cecily Von Ziegesar.
Jailbird was the headband…
If there was a notion Blair Waldorf had made her own since she was a child, that is that a day is only 24 hours long.
Then why did that day never seem to end?
Not to mention that it was even her birthday.
But she seemed to be the only one to recall this extremely important annual event.
To everyone else that was Eleanor’s and Cyrus’ wedding.
A.K.A her mother and her new not so appealing partner.
Not only they had plans of taking her bedroom for the new incoming baby Eleanor was expecting; with the excuse that Blair would have been away, studying at Yale - if only she hadn't performed the worst possible interview ever- .
They had also stolen her day.
There are 365 days in a year, even one more in the leap one.
Then why did they have to pick just her birthday?
She had tried to cry on Nate's shoulder, but he had dodged her in every possible way.
The same Nate Archibald who was sitting at another table, behind hers, but not hers.
The same Nate who barely recalled her birthday.
The same Nate who hadn’t even given her a present.
The same Nate who had just rejected her umpteenth attempt to get closer to him.
- Is he still my boyfriend? I don’t even know. - She wondered as she gulped down her second flute of champagne.
Or maybe it was the third.
And on an empty stomach, nonetheless.
She couldn't do otherwise, if the only available thing on her plate was an awful quenelle that tasted like cat food.
- I should stuff my pocket with it and bring it to Kitty Minky, at least he would appreciate it. - She contemplated.
She got up from the table for a very simple reason.
The few quenelle she had dared to eat cried vengeance.
After throwing up in the women's bathroom and rinsing out her mouth repeatedly, Blair decided to stop for a while at the Hotel Bar, ordering some more Champagne.
She really needed alcohol to face that endless day.
Especially after what she had seen.
Or rather who she had seen with whom.
She could have rushed there and caused a scene; she would have had every right to do so, after all.
Instead she decided to pretend she hadn’t seen anything, walking outside to take some fresh air.
But not before coming back to the bathroom, once more.
What she had seen had made her stomach turn, again.
After brushing her teeth, she stared at herself in the mirror.
Contrary to her mother’s unfair opinion, that Chloé long dark brown slick dress with thin straps fitted her to a T.
And the black headband with laces and some strass was just the final touch of timeless elegance.
She felt really beautiful and this pissed her off even more.
- Nate, how could you prefer her to me? What are your reasons? Well, save for the E cup bra reasons… - Blair snorted, frustrated.
She braced herself, ready to go outside to enjoy a more than deserved cigarette.
*
Dan Humphrey was born to feel out of place, constantly.
But never like that day.
He felt out of place, in that rented tuxedo, those elegant trousers were itching his skinny legs.
He felt out of place with his hair slicked back.
So impossibly tidy.
- This is just so not me! Oh c’mon, all artists are well known for being scruffy and messy. Especially poets. I seriously doubt that Baudelaire has ever worn a stupid tuxedo! - He muttered in his mind as he nervously rubbed his hands against his trousers, cursing himself each passing second for having accepted that invitation.
At an important Upper East Side wedding at St. Claire Hotel, where he practically knew no one.
He felt out of place, sitting at that table where probably the most familiar face was Chuck Bass, only because they had shared some English lessons during second grade.
But Chuck was too busy hugging two girls at once to pay any more attention to him, after mocking Dan about his role there.
Not that Dan wanted any more attention from him, of course.
He just would have liked to find a purpose for being among perfect strangers.
For sure he didn’t know - he only believed he did- who invited him there, who was supposed to be his date.
Who was supposed to be his eternal love.
Serena Van Der Woodsen.
He had been a fool thinking that that kiss could have been the beginning of something important.
He wasn’t stupid, he had noticed how many times she had tried not to be alone with him.
He had seen the very short moments she forced herself to pay attention to him.
Not to mention what she had just said about his poem.
About him.
- I can sit close to her, I could even touch her hand, as I almost tried to do not long before; but she couldn’t be any more distant anyway. Unreachable. -
He got up from his chair and left the table, certain that Serena wouldn’t have even noticed that and he was right.
Sure, she had even asked him if he wanted to dance, but he knew she didn’t really mean it.
He walked until he reached the Hotel bar and ordered a double scotch on the rocks.
- An intense guy like me deserves to intensely get drunk!- He brooded, letting the alcohol burn his throat.
Someone else had already destroyed his heart, mercilessly.
As he drank faster than he should, Dan noticed something that almost made him choke.
He could have started a riot but he changed his mind, for two reasons: first, he wasn’t sober enough to punch up with a lacrosse player; second, on second thought, Jenny didn’t exactly look like someone who needed to be saved.
That’s why he finished his drink, ordered a second, identical one and once he was done he resorted to the rest of his lucidity to walk outside.
He needed some time alone with his two best friends: Nico&Tine.
Only when he held his Camel between his lips and lit it Dan felt that life made sense again.
At his second cigarette, he even bothered enough to take a look around.
The St. Claire Hotel garden was beautiful, full of plants he ignored but admired anyway.
What he liked even more was the quiet.
All of the guests were still in the restaurant.
All, except for one.
A young, undeniable pretty brunette who was smoking. very gracefully, something he had recognized even from a distance.
-A Merit Ultra Lights? Tsk, dear my rookie, you have no idea what real smoke is!-
There was something else he had noticed about her.
Too bad that Dan was not drunk enough to slur, but enough to utterly stop filtering his thoughts.
“That headband is just so stupid!” He grumbled in her direction.
Blair immediately turned to him.
“I beg your pardon?” She hissed, as her deep blue eyes dug into his large dark orbs.
“How dare you?” She went on, as she stepped closer to him. “As if my day wasn’t already awful enough!”
“I hardly doubt it can compete with mine. I’m trapped here, so far away from my comfort zone, surrounded by strangers who keep talking about stuff I couldn't care less about. Lured in by a blonde goddess, only to find out she just played with my heart as if it was her fidget toy. Never trust someone who changes guys as fast as she changes Kleenex!” He vented.
Blair narrowed her eyes.
“Oh, wait… I guess I caught some glimpse of you before… You are at Serena’s same table. You’re Serena’s date!”
“I was.” Dan sighed. “So, do you know Serena?”
“She’s my best friend! When I’m not too busy hating her… that’s it.” She grumbled. “However, your bad day just pales compared to mine: my mother got married to such a ugly man, and they didn’t even invite my gay dad here. And it wasn’t enough. They are already stealing my bedroom to make room for the incoming baby; they even stole my day, getting married on my birthday!” She whined.
“Oh, that sucks. Well, happy birthday.” Dan murmured, scratching his nape.
“Thanks.” She shrugged. “And, to top it off, I’ve just caught my now former boyfriend betraying me with a big-boobies skank!”
“A.K.A. my little sister.” Dan pointed out.
“Oh!”
She sounded apologetic, surprised and pissed off at the same time.
“Dan Humphrey, by the way.” He reached out. “And since you’re Eleanor’s daughter, you must be…”
“Blair- No-Fucking-Way-I’m-picking-The-Rose-Name- Waldorf!” She shook his hand.
“Well, nice to meet you, Blair Waldorf, but this doesn’t change the fact that your headband is very stupid, but I guess we can do something about it.” He suggested, their hands still shaking.
She abruptly retrieved her hand.
“Such as?” She found herself asking him.
“Either you take it off… or you pay the toll, kissing me.” Dan challenged her, both with words and his gaze.
Alcohol made Dan so much less disinhibited.
Blair kept silent for a while, considering the matter.
A little bit upset, Dan saw Blair about to take her headband off, but she didn’t.
“You know what? I happen to like my headband a lot and you’re gorgeous enough to get a kiss from me.” She confessed.
Not that she needed alcohol, Blair was always without filters.
“What?” Dan frowned.
“What?” She echoed, pretending she hadn’t said anything.
“You know, I expected you would be more likely to push me in the fountain, rather than accept that.” He chuckled nervously.
“Then make you move, Dan Humphrey, before I change my mind and push you in the fountain!”
No sooner said than done.
Dan bent over her, skimming her lips with his finger at first and then placed his lips on hers and waited.
Blair parted her lips, a clear invitation for Dan to go on.
A few seconds after they were kissing as if they had done nothing else before.
To Blair, Dan tasted like smoke, scotch and change.
To Dan, Blair tasted like smoke, mint toothpaste and reward.
Their eyes were closed, as he held her by her shoulders and she slowly caressed his face.
They both seemed to have forgotten that they were in the middle of a wedding reception.
They didn’t care if someone could see them.
And someone did.
Someone who came there along with Jenny, unusually elegantly dressed for the occasion.
Someone who was full of expectations that had just been crushed like cigarette ashes.
Those cigarettes they had smoked, before kissing.
Vanessa Abrams ran away in tears, wishing she had never set foot there.
After what seemed to be an eternity - but maybe were only a bunch of minutes- Dan and Blair parted.
“Well, I guess that now I can go home a lot happier.” He awkwardly smiled at her, on his way to reach the exit.
“Oh. Are you already leaving?” She almost pouted.
“I lost my date at this wedding, so…”
“And I lost my fiancé. Sooner than today, I guess.” She muttered. “And I can’t face all of this alone. So, what about making this a win-win situation?”
Dan smiled, walked closer to her and took her headband off.
“Hey, you cheater! I’ve paid the toll!” She protested, glaring at him.
“I know, but I needed to do this, without that scratchy thing getting in the way.” He justified, passing a hand through her soft, dark waves, almost with reverence.
“Oh.” She stared at him surprised, enjoying his touch.
“I’ll tell you what.” He said, handing the headband back to her. “We’re going back to the reception and I’ll stay; but I guess it would be a tad too crowded and showy as a first date.” He winked at her.
“Uhm, I guess you’re right. It would be too much to handle right now…” She chewed on her long-lasting dark red lipstick.
“But I insist on having at least one dance with you. And a toast.” He made her smile.
He walked towards a table outside and drew from his pocket a pen and a clean paper napkin.
“What are you doing?” Blair frowned as she saw him writing something.
“Well, you said it’s your birthday. You should have a present.” He winked at her, handing her the folded napkin.
She opened it and read:
‘Can I be your cigarette?
Light me, with your gentle touch.
Consume me, until nothing has left.
Stomp my soul, with your stiletto heel.
Dying has never felt so sweet.
D.H.’
“Woah. Is it really for me? Are you a poet, by any chance?” She asked, really impressed.
“Yes, I am. And considering that before meeting you, all I managed to do in the bar was to draw a big black X, you’re more inspiring than you imagine, Blair Waldorf.” He smirked.
“You managed to capture my essence in so few but meaningful words.” She stared at the napkin in awe, then at him.
“It’s my talent.” Dan shrugged. “Well, if you don’t consider it also a talent to have six dark coffees before lunch!”
“Really?” She laughed.
“You don’t really wanna know.” He laughed as well, before turning serious. “So, did you really like the poem? Don’t you find it… huh… too intense?”
He really hated that word.
“Nope. I find it direct and sharp. And I like the sharpness.” She winked at him.
Blair went back to the reception hall, followed shortly after by Dan, not to give anyone the impression that they had walked back together.
But someone had glanced at the whole scene through a window.
- Way to go, Humphrey. So you’re not good just with the writing. - Chuck sneered.
For the rest of the wedding party Blair and Dan acted with nonchalance.
She ignored the fact that Nate had even had the guts to invite Jenny at his table, with such indecency.
- One more reason to never ever want you by my side again, Nate!-
And Dan ignored every attempt from Serena to get in touch with him again and fix things.
- I’m not so stupid to throw my heart in your emotional blender a second time, Serena!-
After the cutting of the cake, shortly before midnight, the band started playing jazz music, much to Cyrus’s personal request.
It wasn’t anymore time to break it down on the dance floor, it was time to slowly swing and get closer.
A perfect time for Dan and Blair.
No one would have asked any questions, at wedding parties everyone danced with everyone.
That’s why after dancing with a guy she barely knew, Blair felt someone gently poking her shoulder and she turned.
“May I have this dance?” Dan smiled at her.
It goes without saying that she accepted.
As they danced slowly, pressed together, Blair brought her mouth to his ear.
“You’re free to have your six dark coffees or more, I guess I’ll stick to two at the utmost, but … What about breakfast together, tomorrow, far from anyone who is here now?”
Dan chuckled, before mirroring her way to answer.
“I agree more than willingly, but only if you show up with another of your stupid headbands!”

THE END
Notes:
I’d like to go on from here (with the main goal of making them lose their virginity to each other of course ;P ), but we’ll see… I still have so many things to carry on
I don’t know if someone will like it, but I had fun writing it and imaging the whole scene
If you read the books (so far I began the fifth one, so no spoilers, please) you should know that the main physical difference is that Blair has blue eyes, which means that for this cover (and the potential next ones) I’m going to pick only pictures where Blair lowers her eyes, so they can be any colour, LOL.
Comments and hearts are super appreciated, although they rarely come my way…
I'm really loving writing this. If I'm done with the first part hopefully I'll post it today.
For now, here's a sweet (in every sense) snippet. :)
So far I made those two end up together in season 2 and 4... why shouldn't I try season 3, too? ;P
*
“Miss Blair, I was wondering if you would like to leave the room…”
“What’s so hard to understand, Dorota? I’m not going anywhere, I’ll remain here, in my bed, pondering on how much I despise the person that I’ve become!” Blair states, throwing some pillows in her direction to uphold the concept.
“Uh! Sure, I perfectly understand your… err… plans for the day; I have no intention to send you outside; it would be enough if you’d just go in the living room, while I tidy up your room.” The smart domestic clarifies.
“Huh! Yeah, I think I can do that…” Blair grumbles, finally leaving the bed, wearing a short black satin babydoll.
“Miss Blair, I think you want to get more dressed than this before going downstairs!” Dorota stops her in time.
“Well, it’s my house,” Blair shrugs, crossing her.
“You’re right, Miss Blair, but there are bricklayers downstairs. Mrs. Eleanor asked for some last-minute renovations.”
“So typical of my mother.” Blair acknowledges. “In this case, I guess it’s advisable that I dress up.” She goes to her bathroom, much to Dorota’s relief.
About ten minutes later she’s ready to go downstairs, with a yellow and purple sleeveless minidress.
- But there are no renovations here and… what’s this delicious smell?-
Following the scent trail she reaches the kitchen, where she finds the responsible.
“Humphrey!” She startles him, her tone a mix of annoyment and surprise.
“Please, don’t be mad at Dorota. I have seen too many Polish movies not to manage to have a connection with her and persuade her that I’m doing the right thing.” Dan explains, turning to her, as he keeps stirring the chopped dark chocolate in bain-marie, until it’s ready.
“And the right thing would be… ? Invading my kitchen?” She asks him, her arms crossed at her chest.
Her expression now is more amused than annoyed.
“Dad might be the king of Waffles, but hot cocoa is my kingdom and trust me, you really need it!” Dan proudly declares as he pours milk, cornstarch and cocoa powder in another pan.
“Did someone wake up with a big Ego this morning?” She teases him, although she can’t help staring at him, rather intrigued.
- Chuck never cooked anything for me… and thank God Nate didn’t either, he would have burnt my kitchen! But look how focused he is, sticking the tip of his tongue and… wait, since when does Humphrey have biceps?-
In order to move better, Dan has taken off his jacket, so now he just wears his blue jeans and a grey tight T-shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his well toned shoulders.
It looks like two of Blair Waldorf’s senses are satisfied, not only the smell.

II: That smug smile
Blair stirs as she struggles to open her eyes, because some noises disturbed her sleep.
Car honks, people with drills on the street.
- That’s so weird. Not typical noises of the Upper East Side… And this is killing my head. - She ponders.
“Dorotaaaa! Bring me my earplugs and an aspirin. A double one… “ She groans, her eyes still closed, trying to go back to sleep.
“There’s no Dorota here, Waldorf… and keep your voice lower, my ears are bleeding.” A sleepy voice next to her grumbles.
A male voice that has become very familiar to her in the last week.
Dan Humphrey’s voice.
They both jolt awake.
“What the hell am I doing in your bed?” Blair asks him, panic-stricken.
“What the hell are you doing in my bed?” Dan asks her in the very same moment.
“Oh no…” Blair babbles.
“What?”
“Why am I feeling… naked beneath here?” She wonders, pulling the sheets tight, to cover herself up to the shoulders.
“Damn! I have the same feeling.” Dan mutters.
“I’m too afraid to check…” Blair chews on her lower lip.
“Don’t worry, I’ll do it for both!”
Saying so, Dan quickly lifts the sheets up, before she can even protest.
“Humphrey! What the hell…?”
“I confirm. We’re both very, very naked.” He informs her, before covering them once more.
“Humphrey, you dirty pig! How dare you, glancing at me naked?” She snaps, slapping his naked shoulder.
“But it’s you who said you didn’t have the courage to check…”
“Yes, but you were supposed to watch without watching!”
“Okay. Ignoring your impossible requests that my brain is too knocked out to store… Okay, we might even be naked, but it doesn’t mean that huh.. tonight something happened between us.” Dan grumbles.
“I’m not so sure… I’m afraid my legs are aching in a good way…” Blair groans, right before noticing the look on Dan’s face. “Hey! What’s that smug smile now? Pull it off your face immediately!”
“I guess it’s only pure male ego!” He smirks even more.
“Well, tell you damn male ego to fuck off!” She snaps. “However, Humphrey, we have a big problem here. An Hamlet-like dilemma.”
“To fuck or not to fuck? I remembered Hamlet differently!”
“Geez, Humphrey, stop being such a jerk!” Blair hits his face with a pillow - making sure the sheets are still covering her- over and over again.
Which is not good for the headache that’ s killing both of them.
“Okay.” Dan surrenders, snatching the pillow from her hands. “So what’s the dilemma?”
“We have to leave this bed. There’s no way I’m going to let you see me naked as I walk away, but if I wrap myself around the sheets, then I’ll get to see you naked… and I don’t want that, either!” She grimaces.
Dan chuckles, despite the hangover.
“Do you trust me, Blair?”
“Of course I don’t!” She hisses.
“Well, pretend you do and close your eyes.”
“There’s no way I’m going to close my eyes until you tell me what you mean to do!”
“It’s pretty simple: if you keep your disbelieving eyes closed, I can get out of the bed, while you remain covered. I’ll look both for my clothes and yours, throw yours on the bed, so you can get out and get dressed once I’m locked in the bathroom. This way neither of us will see the other naked.
“Oh.” Blair reckons. “It's a way too smart plan, it can’t pop out from your brain!”
“I see that a hangover didn’t make you any less bitchy!” He rolls his eyes.
“Okay, Humphrey, let’s do this. Keeping my eyes closed, starting from now!”
Dan leaves the bed in all his nakedness and that’s the easy part.
The hard one is to find both of his and Blair’s clothes.
“So, Humphrey, are you done? Why are you taking so long?” Blair wonders, without resisting the temptation of opening her eyes, just a little.
And she does just when he’s turning his back to her.
- Well, well.. so let’s add to his biceps even such biteable buttocks! -She smirks, right before squeezing her eyes closed, just in time for Dan to turn back to her.
“Err… I guess we… sort of scattered our clothes all around the house.” He informs her, opening some drawers to get new clothes. “Stay there, I’ll go check it out.”
After a bunch of minutes, he comes back, holding all their stuff.
“Your stockings were hanging from the bookshelf, your dress was on the armchair, one of your shoes near the front door, the other under the sofa, over it there was your bra and my boxer, your panties were on the lamp, my jeans were on the desk, my T-shirt on the other armchair…” He explains, throwing her clothes on the bed.
“Thank you. Uh. It sounds so…”
“Passionate? Yeah.” Dan finishes the sentence for her.
“Okay, I’m locked in the bathroom, so feel free to dress, then you can use the bathroom as well.”
She trusts to do so only when she hears the door closing.
When Dan gets out, Blair is fully dressed, even more than he expected, since she’s wearing her coat, too.
“I guess I’ll use the bathroom of my bedroom, I’ve spent way too much time here. A cab is waiting for me outside.” She informs him. “It’s good for both of our headaches.” She adds, as a sort of justification.
“Yeah.” He nods, walking her to the front door.
He can’t bring himself to tell her he’s quite sad and disappointed to see her go away.
-------------------------------------------
All Dan needed to recover was a full day of rest, that’s why the morning after he wakes up pretty early, also because he wants to catch up with Gossip Girl’s work.
He opens the secret laptop and checks the mailbox.
There are some pictures of Serena enjoying the time with her father she’s so happy to have back, some minor stuff about Blair’s minions and…
Apparently Brooklyn is less out-of.radar than he guessed.
Someone took a couple of pictures of him and Blair in that bar, just when they were in the middle of their philosophy drinking game.
Even if he already decided that Gossip Girl won’t spread them, nothing prevents Dan from staring at those pics.
They both are laughing in them, a clear sign of how pretty drunk they already were.
And as he’s busy watching those pictures, some sort of flashbacks hit him.
He, struggling to get the front door open, as both giggle.
Blair, pushing him against the closed door, once they got inside, and kissing him savagely, as she’s busy getting free of her first shoe.
Dan, kissing Blair back, with the same eagerness, as they walk backwards, until he blocks her between the bookshelf and his chest, still kissing her, as he throws her second shoe away and takes her stockings off from her dress.
Blair, getting rid of Dan’s jeans and throwing them on the desk, right before taking his T-shirt off and throwing it away, without even caring where it lands.
Dan, getting Blair free from her dress, before throwing it to the close armchair.
Them, moving to the sofa and laying down there, where they have a rather good time with some sexy, hot petting.
There are no more flashbacks in his mind, but it doesn’t take a genius to figure out how they ended up naked in Dan’s bed.
Dan tries to get his mind off these dangerous thoughts, as he focuses on the other Gossip Girl’s blasts he has already planned.
There will be time to deal with Blair.
******************************* (In the meantime)
His hands, so delicate, yet determined.
His caresses, more and more demanding.
His voice, lower and hoarse with desire.
His kisses. So eager, so hungry, so overwhelming.
His tongue, teasing spots she didn’t even know were erogenous zones until then.
His big, dark eyes. The way they looked at her, the way they made her feel.
And that smug smile.
Blair jolts awake in her bed, her heart is racing.
She’s panting more than usual.
And, if it’s not clear enough,a certain part of her body proves to her how much she enjoyed that wet dream.
And the worst or best part is that she knows it’s not just a dream.
Those are real memories.
Still blurred, but already very eloquent memories of the hot night she spent with Dan.
And she’s also aware she can’t keep ignoring that.
She doesn’t care if it's only seven o'clock in the morning, she grabs her phone and selects a specific number.
She’s kind of puzzled that he picks the call just at the first ring.
- Is he already awake as well? -
“Yeah, Blair?”
“If your headache is over, too, Humphrey, I think we should talk.”
“What can I say? You anticipated me, Waldorf. We absolutely need to talk. So, is it going to happen at your place or mine?”
“Well, my mother will be back from Paris today, along with some of her staff, so it’s going to be a little crowded here…” Blair mumbles.
“Instead my place couldn’t be more free. Since Jenny actually lives in Van der Woodsens’ loft and fights daily with Serena. And dad is patrolling that area like a sentry on his guard post, now that Serena’s and Eric’s dad is back.”
“So I guess your place is the winner.” Blair acknowledges.
“Yep. Meet me in a couple of hours." He hangs up.
---------------------------
When Dan opens the door and sees Blair, that’s a moment of silent awkwardness for both.
They’ve been this close other times, but now it’s beginning to mean something different.
Blair is almost tempted to give him another kiss on the corner of his mouth.
Dan is almost tempted to bend down on her and smell her silky hair.
But both instead stand still and speechless.
“Yeah, you look less dazed than yesterday, Humphrey!” She decides to speak first.
“And you don’t miss a day to remind me how sweet and nice you are, Waldorf!” He strikes back.
And yeah, they’re both fully aware they’re flirting.
“However, thank you for coming. I gave a lot of thought about what happened the other night and to those hours before it happened…” Dan informs her, as he takes something from a drawer and hides it in the pocket of his jeans.
“Yeah, me too.” She nods, as she sits on the grey sofa.
- That sofa where we had such a good time... - Dan gets lost in his sexy considerations, but tries to recover as he sits next to her.
“We need to treat it like a… social experiment.”
“A… what?!” She frowns. “I take back what I said before about your less daziness!”
“Let me explain. I mean… we both know everything started with that drinking game. We should do something like that again and focus on what exactly triggered us.” He goes on, showing her a deck of pink cards.
- Uh? Are they cards for sexy games with teasing dares such as ‘bite your partner’s buttock?’ Geez, why am I so obsessed with that? - She asks herself, puzzled.
But once she inspects them, she realizes it’s a drinking kind of truth or dare to do in a public place, surrounded by people.
“Yeah, it seems like a fun game…” She comments, reading all the dares.
And of course, there’s none about biting buttocks.
“Thank you, it’s the only thing I managed to find, in such a short time, but I think it could work.”
“Work for what? What’s the point of all of this?” She wonders.
“We go back to that pub. Get drunk with this game. But this time we will film us.”
“Why should we ever do such a thing? Do you want to hand it to Gossip Girl on a silver plate?” She narrows her eyes at him. “Stupid me to think you wanted to protect me from her!”
She’s about to get up, but Dan grabs her arm.
“No, please, Blair, you’re misunderstanding everything! I have no intention to expose you or me to Gossip Girl. The filming would just help us to keep track of everything the moment the rationality abandons our brains, along with our memory.” He justifies and that’s enough to make her sit again.
“Okay, it starts to make more sense this way…”
“I mean, don’t you wish that that night there would have been a hidden camera in my place?”
“Eww, gross , Humphrey, do you film yourself when you have sex?” She glares at him.
“Vanessa had so many cameras around…”
“Eww! I don’t wanna hear about your and your former girlfriend’s pervy habits!” She snaps, disgusted.
“Said the innocent and pure one. I don’t wanna even begin to imagine the kinky stuff you and Chuck were up to!” Dan strikes back.
- Is there a hint of jealousy? - They both wonder about each other and they both prefer not to find an answer.
“I’m just saying that it’s very likely to find a lot of cameras in a filmmaker’s room, maybe that’s why I keep thinking of cameras. I didn’t say that Vanessa switched them on when we used to… err.. at least I wish she didn’t!” He grumbles, getting up.
“Okay, by reductio ad absurdum, let’s suppose there were cameras filming us here, that night… how would this change things?”
“Once Vanessa asked me if I would sign a release for her to use some of our filmed moments together, as strolls, trips, some social and cultural activities, as archive footage for her next movies, but I refused to do so. Now I wonder if those are the only moments she filmed… and anyway it’s not that she can use that stuff if I refused to sign… can’t she?” Dan wonders, getting increasingly nervous, as he paces back and forth.
“Well, I guess that if she wants to turn you into a new porn star we’ll eventually know; but please, can you focus just on our present issue?” She tries to calm him down. “You were explaining how having cameras around would change everything.”
“I’m not saying that it would have changed things; but at least it would have filled the gap we’re missing. I mean, aren’t you not even a tiny bit curious?” He inquires. “And, of course, I don’t mean that I would like to watch our… err.. full sex performance ... just all that happened before that, in detail.” He rushes to point out, making her giggle.
“I would lie if I told you I’m not curious to see how the whole thing happened. But trying to repeat the whole thing, or something pretty similar, aware of the cameras would make everything feel too forced, don’t you think so?”
“You’re right. I don’t know why the camera's idea sounded so brilliant in my head, before I exposed it to you!” He rolls his eyes. “So, it looks like we’ll never find out how it was.”
“Actually… I have some faded memories of that night.” She decides to confess, getting up to reach him.
“Oh my, I had some flashbacks, too!” He informs her, thrilled. “Well, mine concerned my… geographic memory.”
“Huh? What do you mean?” Blair frowns.
“I remember every exact spot where I took one item of your clothing and lost mine, one at a time.”
“Oh.”
- No, Blair, there’s no possible way you can find that sexy!- She reproaches herself.
“What about your memories?” Dan asks her.
“Huh. Mine concerned my … emotional memory. How good you made me feel… unless it’s only a made up memory!”
“I don’t think so.” He smiles at her in such a dangerous way she needs to back off.
“And I’ll tell you more…” He goes on.
“Such as?”
“It’s not that I remember, but I have the feeling you even called me ‘Dan’.”
Blair seems to find her usual temper again.
“What?! In your dreams, Humphrey!”
“More like in my memories!” He sticks his tongue out at her.
“I should be super drunk to do such a thing.. oh wait, I was!” She admits.
“Anyway, I have the feeling I really liked how it sounded said by you.” He murmurs, his tone sweeter, now.
“Oh. Well, hope you recorded it well in your mind, because it’s going to never happen again, H-U-M-P-H-R-E-Y!”
“I wouldn’t be so sure, Waldorf.”
“I’m just sure that we'll never get to remember what happened in your bedroom. And maybe that’s for the better.”
Dan loses his cockiness all of a sudden and confines himself to nodding.
“I mean… you and I together? Can you even imagine Gossip Girl spreading the news?” She goes on.
“Are you kidding? Her site would implode!” He makes her laugh.
“However…” Blair adds, with a tone that fills Dan with hope.
“I guess it's our right to find out how it could have been, before renouncing it once for all.” She murmurs, taking a step closer.
“I guess we owe it to our forever lost memory of that night.” He murmurs, doing the same.
“I couldn’t agree more.” She brings a hand to touch his left cheek.
Dan leans closer, bending on her.
“And I guess I should do this!”
His lips slowly land on hers and Blair this time doesn’t back off.
Both know that their lips have already met, thanks to that drinking game, and now that sweet contact sounds familiar, although they can’t remember.
And they both know that that contact can’t remain so sweet any longer.
The tip of Dan’s tongue gently asks permission and Blair parts her lips, welcoming it, more eagerly than she expected.
Her hands grab his curly hair, as his hands softly wrap the side of her slender neck, as their kiss increases their intensity.
It’s a fire. It’s a storm. It’s a flood of emotions.
That’s why when Dan parts, testing the water, she’s angry at him.
And he figures that out.
“Blair, I’m sorry! Maybe I shouldn’t have kissed you…” Dan babbles, trying to decipher her mood.
“I guess, no, I’m sure you shouldn’t have stopped!” She pulls him closer, by the collar of his shirt and kisses him again, even more demandingly.
Reassured by her reaction, Dan is more than glad to kiss her again, this time holding her hips, as his mouth moves also to her cheek, behind her ear, nibbling at her lobe, along her chin and down to her neck, still too trapped by her coat.
“Humphrey, since you said you remember that, why don’t you show me the exact spots when we got rid of our clothes?” She urges him, as she fills her lungs with air again.
He’s more than glad to please her.
He resumes kissing her and walks with her at the same time, until they reach the front door.
His hands unbutton her coat and take it off.
“Can your Chloé coat accept to be thrown on the floor?”
“I’m sure it won’t complain, for once.” She approves.
“And you got rid of your shoe, only one.”
“Huh, okay.” She does as she’s been told.
As Dan takes advantage of her now more exposed neck and décolleté, he walks her to the bookshelf, until she’s trapped between him and the shelf.
First, he gets rid of her second shoe and takes off his shoes as well.
“Well, you wear trousers this time, but it won’t make any difference.” He smirks. “This is what I did.”
Saying so, he undoes her woven silver belt, lowers the zip on her hip and lowers her grey pinstripe trousers.
She kicks them off her ankles and he throws them on a shelf.
She unbuttons his baby blue shirt, takes it off and throws it on the desk.
“You just did what you exactly did then and I didn’t even instruct you!” He chuckles.
“Let’s call it instinct!” She shrugs, before exploring his bare, quite toned chest with kisses, caresses, some scratches and nibbles.
“Alright…” He moans in appreciation. “Now what remains goes on the armchairs.”
And that’s exactly where his blue jeans and her pearl grey shirt end.
“I exposed my geographic memory, what about your emotional one?” He asks her as they reach the grey sofa.
“Even better than my flashbacks!” She grins, laying down on the sofa and pulling him onto her.
Her black bra disappears, allowing Dan to toy with her boobs as much as he pleases, teasing her more than hard nipples with his tongue, his lips and his fingers.
“Oh, God, Humphrey, don’t stop!” She urges him, biting her lips.
“I have no intentions to.” He smirks, placing soft kisses on her abdomen, her belly, raising his head every time to check on her emotions.
“That’s it. That’s the exact way you looked at me that night.” She says, shivering as his fingers trace the laced edge of her black panties.
“And how am I looking at you now?” He asks her, kissing her, as his fingers cross the edge, caressing her most sensitive spot.
“Like I was the most precious thing in the Universe…” She arches her back, welcoming the pleasant intrusion of his middle finger.
“Can’t think of a better way to look at you.” He whispers against her lips, inserting the ring finger.
She arches even more.
“Yes! But.. wait.. weren’t you supposed to be head over heels for Serena?” She wonders.
“Weren’t you supposed to be head over heels for Chuck?” He strikes back, making her laugh.
But she cries in pleasure when he inserts his index, too.
“Yeeessss, Humphrey, just like thissss…..” she moans, as he eases her orgasm, lowering her panties until he can take them off and throw them towards the lamp.
She grabs his hair and pulls him closer to a deep, hungry kiss.
“No more teasing, now. I want you inside me, Humphrey.” She pleads, once they part.
He stares at her in a challenging way, doing absolutely nothing.
“What?” She frowns.
“You know the magic word I wanna hear…”
“Fine!” She gives in. “I want you… Dan.”
“I was right when I said I would have liked how it sounded.” He beams in such a sweet way that Blair can’t help kissing him again.
“Okay, it’s time to move to the bedroom!” He gets up, grabbing her by the hand.
“And finally filling the gap!” She agrees.
“And fill something else, too!” He sneers.
That smug smile back on his features.
“Pig!” She giggles, before he throws her on the bed, reaching her.
Blair doesn’t waste time and gets rid of his blue boxers.
“Actually, that night you had taken my boxers off on the sofa… but it’s not that I’m complaining!” He points out, chuckling.
Dan eagerly waits for her next move, but he’s rather puzzled when she makes him roll, with his belly against the mattress.
“Sorry, there’s something I have to do first.” She justifies, placing soft kisses on his nape, on his shoulders, caressing and gently scratching his smooth back, as she goes lower and lower.
He enjoys that kind of attention from her, until she does something unexpected.
“Woah, Blair! Did you just bite my ass cheek?” He jolts, turning to her, as the initial ache is replaced by a bigger pleasure.
“Correct. And I don’t regret it!” She grins satisfied.
It’s time for her to make his roll again, straddle him and take care of his front side, too.
“Wait. Are you planning bites … there, too?” He starts to worry.
She chuckles, as she starts caressing his penis.
“Relax, Dan, I’m not that sadistic!” She kisses him, as her second hand joins the first one.
“As long as you can keep calling me that… you can do anything to me.” He smiles against her lips.
“Don’t tempt me, Dan!” She giggles, kissing him, as she intensifies her caresses and light scratches.
Her hand goes up and down with increasing quickness, while the others massages his balls, torturing Dan in the best way possible.
“Pleaseeee, stop it, Blair, I’m so clooose, and I don’t… cos I wanna.. ya know…” He babbles incoherently, his eyes closed, his teeth grazing his lower lip, his hair all messy.
Dan has never looked more beautiful to her.
“Don’t worry, Dan, I got you… and it’s what I want, too. And I don't like pleading twice!” She makes him chuckle.
He slowly enters her core, waiting for her reaction.
She spreads her thighs wider and grabs his shoulders welcoming every of his pushes and pressing herself more against his hardness.
“Just tell me, Dan, would you ever sell me for.. well, not a Hotel, but maybe for a Pulitzer?" She asks him as their rhythm increases.
“Nope, never, Blair. But I'd make you the star of one of my books. Maybe I already did…”
“You what?!” She jolts and this gives both even more pleasure.
“Hush. I promise I’ll tell you everything, but don’t ask questions now…” He pleads, kissing her.
They go on until Blair reaches the orgasm with his name on her lips and that’s all it takes to Dan to follow her in the same bliss.
“How did we dare to forget something like this?” She wonders in frustration, as they both recover, laying on the bed.
“Maybe it wasn’t as epic as it was this time, so it’s better if we forgot.” Dan mumbles.
“Well, the most important thing is that we got to remember this time.”
“Our first, unique and last, aware time.” Dan points out for her.
“Right. We had a mission, we successfully accomplished that and now it’s time for both of us to go back to our every day life.” She gets up, going to the living room to collect all of her clothes.
Dan wears his boxers and follows her.
“That’s what we had established at first, after all.” Dan sadly agrees as he grabs his jeans and shirt.
Blair just misses her coat, before she’s ready to leave.
And that’s what, even more sadly, Dan hands to her.
“Thanks.” She sighs, taking it, sort of reluctant. “Dan?”
“Yeah?” He enjoys hearing her calling his name one last time, before coming back to be only ‘Humphrey’ once she leaves his loft.
“What if I told you that my ordinary life isn’t that great, after all?” She asks him, as she’s busy putting on the first side of her coat.
Dan doesn’t use any words to reply, he simply rushes to her and kisses her for a long time.
“Blair… are you really saying that…” He tentatively asks her, when he parts from her.
“I’m saying that I’ve been out of Gossip Girl’s radar for too long, now I’m ready to come back. So let’s go to MET, or MoMA, or at a literary circle. You pick the place, as long as people can see us together.” She suggests as she puts the other side of the coat on as well.
Because now leaving that loft has a different meaning. She can do that with him.
“So, no mental tricks to deny what happened, no schemes against me, no procedures to keep our relationship-or-whatever-it-is hidden to anyone?” He wonders, amazed.
She nods, giving him a peck on his nose.
“I guess your ice is melting as well!” He smiles at her, grabbing his coat.
“So far I tried getting together with the girl of my dreams and it didn’t work.” Dan starts as they walk through the streets, hand in hand. “So I tried getting together with my long-time best friend and it didn’t work, either. What if getting together with my enemy or former enemy would be the solution?”
‘There’s only a way to find out, Dan. we just have to try and see where it will take us… and this time we’re not even drunk!” She winks at him. “Although I wouldn’t mind trying the new drinking game in a New York pub.”
“Consider it already done.” He assures, with a short kiss.
“Good. And... Dan?”
He could listen to her calling him by his name for ages.
“Yes, Blair?” He hums, pleased.
“We also need to get a deck of sex card games!” She astonishes him.
“Sure, as long as you don’t want to play at that in a public pub as well!” He makes her laugh, kissing her.
“Uh. And… Humphrey?” She adds when they part.
Dan can’t help noticing that her tone is a bit colder now.
“Yeah?”
“Don’t think I have forgotten what you told me before. If there’s really a book about me, I wanna know everything!”
Dan chuckles and nods.
- Telling you about the book will probably be the easiest part. It’s the secret about who I am that worries me quite a bit more. But there will be time for that. One step at a time. -

THE END
Notes:
LOL, I don’t know why but I find so canon both Blair with an obsession for biting Dan’s yummy buttocks and Dan worrying about the possibility that Vanessa could use some footage about him (maybe this last thing has been inspired by the books)
I had so much fun writing this, I hope you liked it.
I’d really, REALLy like to hear from you, but thanks even for just reading.
And as long as there’s least one person (well, not including myself, LOL) who appreciates what I write and can show me with a comment, a kudos or a bookmark, I’m happy and more motivated to go on with my other stories *O*
Hello, everyone.
Before starting to post, I want to make a BIG SHOUTOUT to @cloudyfragmentexile and @notmanou for their sweet comments that came the moment I needed the most and cheered me up a lot <3
and to @jessmcriano for her reblogs, you're sooo nice <3
Now it’s time to go on with the collection:
Setting: Season 5.
Do you remember when in my notes I said that there are some differences among the shots I post in this collection?
Well, this belongs to the same universe of ‘You’re not even trying!’, it’s a prequel, then you'll get why. These are their main characteristics of this ‘alternate canon universe’:
- Dan and Blair got together long before the canon, let’s say after their very first kiss on season 4, more or less.Which means no Louis, no wedding with him, no pregnancy.. - Serena chose to stay with Carter, Chuck ran to conquer Raina back, because I want my other babies happy too, and when there’s no room for Derena and Chair, here’s the only possible choice I have for them (for Chuck it would be nice even Eva, maybe in another fic-verse ;P )
- The fu**ing Bart stayed dead the very first time, so no shitty return, since he fu**ed up pretty much everything, Ruly included :(
And do you remember when I keep saying that one day I would write about a certain revelation? That day has come!
Written for the @fluffbruary , day 7: door | sly | stay
Disclaimer: I don't own anything but my crazy ideas, everything belongs to the amazing Cecily Von Ziegesar and the TV authorsImportant: If you didn’t see the whole series yet, this is gonna be a HUGE spoiler about who Gossip Girl is.
Warning: There’s a bit of smut, but get ready for some angst too.. but always without forgetting the fluff
Summary: Dan decides to take a big step up in his relationship with Blair. A step so big it could totally destroy it.
I: Uncomfortable truths
“Are you really sure about it, Dan?” Jenny asks her brother, while she’s working at the same time, examining the new order of fabrics with her mobile for the set up of the next fashion show.
She really loves her job in Hudson.
“Are you aware it’s the fifth time you ask me this, since we started this videochat?” Dan makes her notice.
He was supposed to dedicate the whole morning to his new project, but after a few paragraphs of the first chapter he decided to use that time to focus on another issue.
Something he has been thinking about since the whole summer.
And he needed a second opinion from the only person who knows his secret.
“It’s that there’s so much at stake that I need you to tell me you’re absolutely sure about it.” Jenny insists as she takes measurements of a dress to cinch at the waist.
She’s such a multitasking girl.
“And, for the fourth time, I repeat to you that I’m absolutely sure.” He confirms, fidgeting with the pencil holder.
A way as another to blow off steam.
“Buy you’re going to lose Blair this way.”
“I’m going to lose her if I keep hiding this important truth from her. The longer I wait, the worse it is going to get.” Dan retorts, as he bites his nails.
He might be sure about his decision, but it doesn’t mean he’s not extremely nervous about it.
“Then Dad always says that transparency and honesty are the secret of a healthy and successful relationship.” He adds , more like to encourage himself.
Jenny scoffs.
“Yeah, sure, the same Dad who after all those years is still busy arguing with Lily like cats and dogs?”
Dan smirks smugly.
“‘After all those years.’ This is the key point. This is what I’m aiming for.” He makes her notice. “Then, correct me if I’m wrong, didn’t you hate Blair and the fact that we’re together?”
Jenny tortures her long, bleached blond locks, before answering.
“Of course I still hate her and I wish you and her had never fallen in love with each other!” She rolls her eyes.
“But?” Dan urges her to go on, with a knowing smile.
“But I also acknowledged how happy you are with her… and I sort of like my big brother to be happy.” She grumbles.
She’s never very comfortable whenever she has to show her most sensitive side.
“Thank you, lil sis, for your sweet concern, but I promise you I have every intention to still be happy, for a long, long time.” He smiles at her.
She smiles back.
“Huh, and… Jenny?”
“Yeah?”
“About the date you told me you have tonight, as promised I won’t tell Dad about it, but… try to wear just a little less make up. I bet that guy wants to go out with a girl, not a… panda bear!” He makes fun of her, logging out fast enough to avoid her pissed off reaction.
Dan reaches his father who’s rehearsing in the living room.
Feeling observed, Rufus stops playing and turns to Dan.
“Do you need something, son?”
“Huh, nope, I was just thinking, since everything seems so perfect and fine between you and Lily, why don’t you take her on a romantic trip, out of the blue, let’s say… leaving tonight?” He suggests with nonchalance,
“Well, that’s a very cool idea.. if only Lily wasn’t out of town, paying a visit to Cece.” Rufus informs him.
“Oh. Well, very nice of her.” Dan grumbles back, trying to think fast. “Uh! What about Jenny? It’s been a while since you checked on her. Why don’t you buy a ticket for Hudson already today?”
- Forgive me, lil sis, if I ‘m going to break the promise and mess up with your date!-
Rufus gets up, places his guitar back in its case and stares at his son, suspiciously.
“Dan, you don't have to get all weird about this.” He chuckles. “If you want the house for yourself tonight, why don’t you just ask?”
“Actually, yes, I would like to have the house for myself tonight… Could you help me with that?” Dan asks, scratching his head, nervously.
Rufus shrugs.
“Why didn’t you say it before? No problem, I can arrange something with my old band mates, then sleep at Lily’s place.” He grins.
“Uh? Was it really so easy? Thank you, Dad.”
“I’ve been young too, Dan, so I understand if you want to have a special night with Blair…” He winks at him.
“Actually it’s a night to face uncomfortable truths.” Dan grumbles.
Rufus narrows his eyes at him.
“Is that kind of thing that could put you in a very difficult situation, that kind of thing she could hardly find out on her own, but you feel compelled to tell her anyway, for the sake of transparency in your relationship?”
Dan is almost dumbfounded.
- When the hell did Dad learn to read people’s minds?-
“Yeah, it’s exactly that kind of thing.”
“Then this does you credit, son.” Rufus pats his shoulder. “I’m sure everything is going to be fine.”
“Thank you for saying the taboo sentence, now I know it’s going to be a complete disaster!” Dan rolls his eyes.
- No kidding, I already knew this, taboo sentence or not. -
“Don’t be so pessimistic! If you’re doing this out of love, it can’t be bad for sure.” Rufus smiles at him, as he gathers his stuff.
“I hope so.” Dan sighs. “Huh, Dad?”
“Yes?”
“What if Jenny still lived here with us and she was the one asking you if she could have the house for herself for a night?”
“I guess you already know the answer!” Rufus grumbles, making him laugh.
And the jealous-father mood Rufus immediately self-set to makes Dan even gladder he managed to keep the secret about Jenny’s date.
----------------------------
Once he’s done with the chores, Dan grabs his phone.
It’s the middle of afternoon, Rufus has already left and the place sparkles.
It’s time to invite his girlfriend in.
Blair picks his call up at the second ring.
“Honey! After such a tough day, finally something pleasant.” She purrs.
“Oh, are you having a bad day?” He asks her, concerned.
- This surely doesn’t help. - He ponders.
“I’m still cursing myself for accepting to help my mother with her agenda: She’s turning my life into a living hell, she’s making me go across half the Upper East Side. Can’t wait for this day to be over.” She groans, exasperated.
“Hold on, my love.”
“How is your day going, Dan?”
“Trying to write, without succeeding.”
“That must be so frustrating, poor dear. Maybe you need some help from your Muse…”
She’s clearly flirting.
“What about spending the evening with me, my Muse? I happen to have the loft all for myself until tomorrow.”
“These are the things I need to hear!” She cheers. “And, tell me, are you going to cook for me, too?”
“That was already my plan.” Dan smiles. “I can also add to the list a massage, in order to make you relax, after such a hard day.”
“Oh, you spoil me so much!” She giggles. “See ya later, love.”
-----------------------------------------
Dan’s efforts were rewarded.
Blair appreciated a lot the roast chicken he cooked.
And even before that, the oh so relaxing massage with candles, soft music as background and Patchouli oil.
“None of my previous boyfriends was such a good chef… more like I guess none of them actually ever tried to cook anything.” Blair comments as they keep eating.
“Well, my darling, Brooklyn guys like to get their hands dirty.” He smirks. “But I guess what made this dinner so special is the salad you made so flawlessly!”
“Do you mean the ready-mixed-salad I just opened and poured in a bowl?” She scoffs.
“Well, flawless opening and pouring.” He retorts.
“Don’t make fun of me, Humphrey!” She laughs, throwing at him some still no dressing green lettuce.
“Do you have the DVD wallet with you?” She asks him when they’re done, as she takes the dishes to the washbasin.
“Of course, I have it. What movie do you wanna watch?” He asks her.
“I guess you already know.” She winks at him.
“Sure, I know, but I’d suggest ‘Confessions of a Dangerous Mind’, to get in the mood…” Dan grumbles.
“What?” Blair frowns at him. “Which mood?”
“Nevermind.” He shrugs. “Let’s go with ‘Roman Holiday’. Once more!”
They lay on Dan’s bed, cuddling as they watch the movie on his laptop.
- Life couldn’t be sweeter. Then why am I feeling like a death row inmate who’s walking through the Green Mile? Oh, that’s another movie I could have suggested. - Dan gets lost in his worried thoughts, as Blair cozies up to him a little more.
“This movie will never tire me!” She sighs in awe at the end. “Dan, we should visit Rome one day, and we should do a remake of the Mouth of the Truth scene.”
“Yep, definitely to put on our to-do list.” He approves.
“Good. I can already picture myself putting my hand inside the Mouth after saying that I love you. And it wouldn’t bite me, because it’s not a lie, at all.” She murmurs.
He stares at her, touched, before putting the laptop on the floor.
“Oh, Blair, come here.” He pulls her to him for a long, slow, sweet kiss.
Then from her mouth he moves to her cheek, her chin, lingering on her neck.
“Oh god, Dan, if you kiss me this way I won’t refrain for long.” She moans, tilting her head back to allow him more access.
“No one asked you to do that.” He urges her, sucking the side of her neck, as he searches for the zipper of her dress behind her back.
Sooner than they can figure out, they’re both naked and willing to give themselves to each other.
Dan pulls Blair on top of him, holding her hips.
She is keeping her eyes closed as his cock enters in her core, inch after inch, enjoying the moment better.
“Look at me, Blair.” He whispers and she obeys.
“Good. I wanna frame this moment in my mind forever. Your eyes.” He stares at her, intently.
“Your lips.” He traces them with his thumb and Blair sucks it sensually.
“Your slender, graceful neck.” He voraciously kisses it, leaving more than a hickey.
Blair moans, even louder as he pushes deeper.
“Your pretty breast.” He goes on, cupping her boobs, kissing first one nipple, then the other, sucking one, as his fingers gently play with the other.
Blair hisses in pleasure, pushing herself more against his lap.
He inhales her hair.
“And I wanna frame the scent of your hair.” He goes on, moving behind her ear and on her nape. “And the Chanel n.5 that drives me crazy. Not to mention that your skin still smells of Patchouli, mm…”
“What else do you wanna remember, Dan?” She asks him, before lowering to kiss him, famished.
“The taste of your mouth,” He answers when he can speak again, as their rhythm increases. “The way you bite your lower lip when you’re close to the orgasm… yeah just like this.” He smirks, proudly.
“Daaan..” She moans in deep pleasure.
“Then I wanna remember the way you say my name when I make you feel that good, the taste of your pleasure, your warmth, how wet you get for me, our noises when we make love, our pants, your messier hair, your satisfied expression…” He moans, as he finally comes inside her.
“This is what I get, to love such a writer!” She parts from him, only to lay with her head on his chest.
“Told you that you’re my Muse.” He chuckles.
“But what was all this craving for remembering? I’m not going anywhere, Dan” She reassures him, searching for his hand to hold.
“What can I say? Maybe it’s the beginning of Autumn that makes me so melancholic.” He finds a believable excuse.
She uses his shirt as pajamas, while he wears his boxers again, before they slip under the sheets.
- Guess I’m doing nothing bad if I allow myself to have one more night sleeping together. But tomorrow, in the morning, I’m going to tell her anything. - Dan decides, switching the light off, as they wish each other goodnight.
He hugs her like a big spoon and closes his eyes, wishing that tomorrow could never come.
--------------------------------
But, of course, tomorrow comes, despite all his prayers, and right before they start breakfast, he finds the courage to do what he has to do.
“Blair, there’s something you need to know. But before I go on, please, never forget how much I love you.”
“I love you too, Dan, even more if you let me eat!” She tries to joke, but he looks so serious that she instantly loses her appetite. “You… you’re scaring me.”
“Do you remember when we graduated? The party we had after that…”
“Why are you bringing back such old memories now?” She scoffs.
“Do you remember when Serena was so pissed off with Gossip Girl that she challenged her, sending her a text message, asking her to meet her at The Oak Room to protect her secret identity?” Dan goes on.
“Why.. why are you talking about this?” Blair grows nervous.
“Nate and Serena were so surprised to see me arriving there first. You arrived immediately after me, then Jenny followed, and all the others; but only because the text message I sent to everyone reached you a bit later than expected.”
“Wha… What are you babbling about? It was Gossip Girl sending that message…” Blair stares at him, puzzled and sort of scared.
“Serena almost got me that day. And where Nate sarcastically asked me if I was Gossip Girl… Well, he was right.”
Blair gets up so fast that the chair falls loudly on the floor.
“No! It can’t be!” She pleads, her eyes almost teary, just like Dan’s.
“I’m Gossip Girl, Blair. I’ve always been.”
“You… you ruined my life!” She snaps, and if her words aren’t already wounding Dan enough, her look hurts him even more.
Because he already saw that look in her eyes.
He was there.
Chuck was about to make the proposal to Blair, right before Dan punched him.
Then Blair had seen how upset Jenny was, added to Dan’s anger as a big brother… and she had figured everything out.
Looking at Chuck so disgusted. So pissed off. So worn out. So empty inside. So utterly let down.
The same way she’s looking at Dan, now.
“How many times was my heart broken and Gossip Girl exposed it for everyone to see? How many times did she humiliate me? How many times did she make a blast of one of my scandals or one of my failures?”
“You’ve never been a failure, Blair.” He murmurs, taking a step closer, as he brings a hand to her face.
She slaps his hand and backs off, as angry as he rarely saw her.
“SHUT UP AND DON’T TOUCH ME!” She roars. “So, tell me, Gossip Girl, did you have fun all these months, fooling me so bad?”
Dan feels like he’s dying inside.
“No please, Blair, don’t talk like this…”
“Oh, yeah, sure. You love me, right?” She scoffs, her tone full of bitter mockery. “Well, I guess that you love even more the blast you could get from that.”
“Blair, please, stop it..” He pleads, his voice as broken as his heart.
“I can picture you, with a sly sneer on your face, as you think about the best way to hurt me.”
“I never could…”
“You, as Gossip Girl, already did. More than once. Each time more devastating then the previous one!” She growls, as she searches for her bag.
“Okay. Gossip Girl ruined your life. Just like she ruined other people’s lives. Including mine.” Dan retorts.
“Huh?” She frowns at him.
“Do you recall a moment where Gossip Girl has been gentle towards Lonely Boy? Of course you don’t. Please notice, as Gossip Girl, I’ve never made any concessions, to anyone, let alone myself. I’ve ridiculed myself so many times!” He strikes back, all fired up. “I’ve always played with the same rules I've applied to everyone else!”
“Geez, do you even listen to yourself while you talk? People’s life is not a damn game!” Blair snaps. “I can’t believe you exposed even your sister’s private life!”
“Jenny agreed with that in the first place. Actually she asked me to do that. So far she was the only one who knows. She has known the truth from the very start.” He confesses and she seems rather astonished to hear that.
“And tell me, what’s the very start? How was Gossip Girl born?” She decides to ask him.
“Back in ninth grade, I was invited by mistake to a party and Serena was there, talking briefly with me for the very first time…”
“Of course it had to be about Serena!” She scoffs.
“You know I had this huge crush on her and also a not very healthy obsession, but you healed me from that, day after day, without even noticing that. What we have is so healthy and pure. I mean, there’s a reason why you’re the main star of my first published book.” He murmurs, trying to get close to her.
But she’s still so full of dismay.
“Nope, Humphrey, it doesn’t change anything! All those years… it was all a lie. Our friendship… and especially what our friendship evolved in… I don’t even know who you are anymore!” She protests.
“Oh c’mon, Blair, you perfectly know who I am…” He pleads.
“Of course I know who you are: the worst person I could ever meet!” She hisses, as she strolls towards the front door.
“No please, Blair, now it’s just your more than justified anger that speaks for you; but if you stay I can explain everything…”
“I’m not gonna listen to your bullshit a second longer. You know what? I thought that only Chuck had the power to hurt me deeply and make me feel like I’m nothing. But I had underestimated you, Humphrey.”
She has called him ‘Humphrey’ countless times, but the contempt Dan can feel in it leaves him helpless.
As he watches her walking away, he has the awful feeling that Blair is not just leaving his house, but she’s getting out of his life forever.
He stares disheartened at the slammed door, as the first tears start streaming down his face.
-Upper East Side means nothing to me if I can’t share it with you… -

Notes:
You’ll get the meaning of the title in the second and last part.
I decided to split it in two because I’m very evil >:D (and because it was turning pretty long ^^’)
It wasn’t easy to write this part, esp the angsty one. I'm not great with angst, I’m very out of my comfort zone, since I was born for fluff ^^’ , but I hope you appreciated it anyway. (Please, if I don’t ask too much, let me know in any case, also concrete can help me to get better, but I say concrete, not damn hatebots, LOL)
Of course, I can’t wait to write and post the second part, and since this is a series and this so far became the first story in chronological order, you already know how it’s going to end ;)
Thanks to everyone who will read that, leave a little heart or any other sign of their passage.
It's not pure fluff until someone steals someone else's shirt <3
So, bets are open: which of Dan's shirts is more likely to be stolen by Blair?
I'll give you my own answer in my next shot (hopefully tomorrow) ...
In the meantime, feel free to reblog this with a picture of your chosen Dan's shirt... it's always nice seeing his pics ;P
