My Tournament First Place Deck (TFPD) And My First Place Streak
What does that mean? This was before DCI. DCI is electronic data record of TCG tournament. By now there are many Pokemon Players either copying my TFPD or my PT plays that they saw in the PT matches. Also, beyond my “Haymaker’s” First Place Streak, from the last two PT, “Whirlpool” and “Energy Transfer” had also protected my First Place Streak. In other words, my First Place Streak is still on-going.
Example of my TFPD And My First Place Streak:
1. My “Haymaker” style and combination plays ended many PT matches before reaching Mid Game. Started my PT First Place Streak.
2. My “Whirlpool”, “In matches with Pokemon Players who don’t have enough PT experience, not only does those Pokemon Players not stand a chance, but because of the attacks and trainer cards combinations, those Pokemon Players could not make their plays or barely/having difficulty to make their plays.” Kept my PT First Place Streak on-going.
3. My “Energy Transfer” Combinations plays had many chains. The Pokemon Players know that that how the Venusaur’s Pokemon Power, Energy Transfer supposed to work, but had not seen so many chains before. Again, kept my PT First Place Streak on-going.
So far, from those TFPD, “Energy Transfer” is the most expensive to construct and the most difficult to copy because of the many chains. Either ways, there are many Pokemon Players either copying my TFPD or my PT plays, because of the copying, there might be conflicts. Example of possible conflicts:
1. Lack of recognition as the Pokemon Player who constructed the TFPD
2. Lack of recognition as PT First Place, PT First Place Streak
3. There are less deck(s) construction, and more copying
4. Less PT Competition, and more copying
Because of the lack of recognition, conflicts will started. Example of possible conflicts:
1. Chaos in the PT
2. More Arguments in the PT
3. Because of the chaos and many arguments in the PT, participants who do not care about Pokemon or Pokemon TCG might use this opportunity create situation(s)
4. Those chaos, arguments, and situations could lead to violent

Basketball League
In both of the PT CAP, I wrote that basketball was a sport I play with my classmates at around the time of the PT.
Beyond serving term after term at my Elementary School, I also joined the Elementary Basketball League representing my Elementary School. At first I did not joined the basketball league right away, because of the different level of basketball’s skill and experience such as I do not watch basketball on TV, at the courts, gym, stadium, or etc., just occasionally shoot hoops with classmates during recess at my Elementary school’s basketball court. Later on, my school did not have enough basketball players to form a team. I have to join, so that my school would have a team, and able to go to the Basketball League. Since I been serving term after term, so joining the Basketball League is like serving another term. The team name, “Crown Point” is named after my Elementary School name.
In addition, there were different levels of basketball’s skill and experience in the Basketball League. So, my team was consider as beginner level team. Example: at least the Crown Point Elementary School had a basketball team. There were a V.I.P. player in the Basketball League that scored the most points.
Afterward, during Middle School semesters, there were a student transferred to my P.E. class. The student look like the V.I.P. player in the Basketball League, so my thought either he got drafted to be at this Middle School or for some reasons he was transferred to this Middle School. Either way, “I have not see any of those players in that Elementary Basketball League until now. Also, the V.I.P. player and I are in the same school.” So, one day after school, while, I was walking on the sidewalk. The student was riding bicycle with another student who also was riding bicycle passed by the sidewalk. They looked at me surprisingly. Both of the students slow down, and look at me, but continue riding. “The student just transferred, so might not know about this Middle School. That is why the surprising reaction.” I thought.
The next day, I asked the student, “Do you play basketball?” To make sure is the right person. “Yes.” The student replied. I thought the story end there. It was clear to me then. Example: the past is the past. But, one day, that same student was a few cents from able to purchase a drink from the vending machine, so he asked me if I could lend him a few cents and he will pay me back right away. I suppose my past is not over, so I lend the V.I.P. player a few cents.
Before the V.I.P. player could use the money to purchase a drink, one of the student in the locker took the V.I.P. player money. When the V.I.P. player trying to ask for the money back, that student would threaten that V.I.P. player. Again, I thought the story ended already. The V.I.P. player was awarded and pictures was taken. Those pictures would posted in the hall of fame at that Basketball League.
So, I walked over to that student, took the money from that student, and handed back to the V.I.P. player. Either way, part of that money is mine. The V.I.P. player thanked me and continue to the vending machine.
Then, that student looked at me surprised why I would help out the V.I.P. player. Basically, if that student were to threaten me, then I would said, “I could beat you up with a hand tied behind my back.” Instead that student was about to cry, then walked away.
After the V.I.P. player purchased the drink, walked over to me, and told me he would split the drink with me. Also, will pay me back those few cents.
Again, “I have not see any of those players in that Elementary Basketball League until now. Also, the V.I.P. player and I are in the same school.” Basically, the V.I.P. player in a way, carried that Basketball League. Even if the story already ended, a basketball match with the V.I.P. player should be fine. Then, the V.I.P. player added, “the drink have not opened, you could have the first drink.”
In other words, if I took that drink, I am going to get in a basketball match with him. Because, for sure the V.I.P. player still remember I asked him about the basketball match that is why he came over to ask me to borrow a few cents.
Again, “the V.I.P. player in a way, carried that Basketball League.” Even though, I was a beginner player at that Basketball League, but the points I scored was being recognized by the coaches, coordinators, parents, and etc. In a way, my response to that is showing some sportsmanship to the V.I.P. player. If I took that drink mean that I am showing sportsmanship to the V.I.P. player. Another thing, because we are in the same Basketball League, and he is the V.I.P. player, so I noticed him such as could be the adjustment as a transferred student, because there were some similar problems like the threat from that student.
After some thoughts, “Just a sip.” The V.I.P. player handed me the unopened drink, and we both walked out of the locker room. While outside the locker room, walking on the school’s campus, after the sip, the V.I.P. player asked to a basketball match.
After that basketball match, we would often woke up early in the weekend and meet up for basketball match. In conclusion, that how my basketball match begin. Not long, I got first picked every time in basketball match with classmates at my school.

“Energy Transfer’s” Construction Process
As for Base Set Booster Packs And Jungle Set Booster Packs, so far I been crediting my PT prizes to get mainly Base Set booster packs (Base Set also know as the Core Set). The following reasons why I crediting my PT prizes to get mainly Base Set booster packs:
1. There are Base/Core cards such as the Base/Core Trainer Cards, Pokemon Cards, and Energy Cards.
2. A chance to get very rare cards.
3. I wanted to build up my Base Set cards first, then the Expansion Set cards. The Expansion Set at that time was Jungle Set.
4. Could be because of the familiarity of the Base Set, the cards are more playable and tradable.
The “Energy Transfer” had a range of combinations and depended on how those combinations are played, could be chained. The chained of combinations, had a greater connecting plays and greater outcome than other decks. While during the construction of the “Energy Transfer”, there were focuses. Example of those focuses:
1. Able to protect First Place Streak
2. From PT matches and trading transaction, look beyond the Base Set, for mainly possible card(s) to be use in my “Energy Transfer’s” combination(s). In other words, making an exception and look beyond the Base Set. The words, “Jungle Set” have a lot of connection to Grass Type Pokemons. Also, the Jungle Set had more Grass Type Pokemons than other Elemental Type Pokemons. My “Energy Transfer” focus mainly on Grass Type Pokemons.
3. My PT experience from the past. Example: because of the many arguments in the PT, seeing cards being played in the PT, would have lesser argument.
4. Setting Standard. Example: Venusaur had been use in the PT, but not “Energy Transfer” or “Energy Transfer” at the PT level (champion/first place; full potential)
As for the consideration, because of all of those focuses, I had spend a lot of time constructing the “Energy Transfer”. Especially, look beyond the Base Set and setting standard. Another thing from those focuses is the different level and using those different level in the PT that had not been used before, especially going for those rewards from chaining the combinations, would require skill and experience.
After those focuses and consideration, on PT day when using “Energy Transfer”, I do not want to extend those focuses and consideration processes any further, so I would use words like “First Place”, “Champion”, and “Full Potential”. In addition, because “Energy Transfer’s” Chains had a greater connecting plays and greater outcome than other decks, I wanted to use the “Energy Transfer” again in the future.
______________________________________________________________
My PT Experience Gain And Decision For The Next TFPD
As for the PT experience gain, the match with opponent using “Whirlpool” was a very close match. Mainly I have enough PT experience to use the “different style plays” right at the beginning. Because the match was a very close match such as in a match with a Pokemon Player using “Whirlpool”, so the following is about “Whirlpool” in the PT.
1. While with a few “Whirlpool” in the PT, there were still new Pokemon Players joined the PT after each PT. So, I would want to construct a TFPD that would get first place (protect my first place streak) and could also overcome “Whirlpool”.
2. The “Energy Transfer” matchup with “Whirlpool” was a very close match. Would not be surprise, if the Pokemon Players with “Whirlpool” show up again with the same decks. In addition, a few slight modification of the “Whirlpool” would be expected.
3. My “Whirlpool” PT matches was still clear in a lot of Pokemon Players’ heads. Example: “In matches with Pokemon Players who don’t have enough PT experience, not only does those Pokemon Players not stand a chance, but because of the attacks and trainer cards combinations, those Pokemon Players could not make their plays or barely/having difficulty to make their plays.” In other words, at that time, there were no Pokemon Players even come close to my “Whirlpool”.
As for my decision on the next TFPD, because of my first place streak, usually there would be Pokemon Players who are watching my matches, especially when getting close to the final. I remember after protected my first place streak with “Energy Transfer”, saying to myself, “I know how to use Chansey.” Could have been those few different plays from Chansey that I used. I also had another deck, “Damage Swap” that required the Chansey and Pokemon Center combination.
From my PT experience, “Damage Swap” is going to be different from my other TFPD so far, so if I constructed the “Damage Swap” meaning I am using a whole new strategy. In other words, even though, from my PT experience, I know the “Damage Swap” going to work well in the PT, but since it is a new strategy, might be considered as taking a brave step.
This new strategy will certainly protected my first place streak even with the matchup of the “Whirlpool” again.
Again, the “Energy Transfer” had protected my first place streak, switching deck will be a surprise in the PT. But, it was not written in the PT rule anything about switching deck. Also, I could switch back the next PT.
______________________________________________________________
Psychic Type In PT And Introducing “Switch”
Psychic Type In PT: Before my “Damage Swap”, “Damage Swap” had not been seen in the PT. Psychic Type Deck does not get far in the PT. Also, Psychic Type sometime categorized as more tactical/strategical plays than the other Elemental Type such as require multiple steps, attack effects, plays, and etc. Because there are fewer Psychic Type Deck in the PT, there is not a lot of Psychic Type PT Experience to be gain in the PT.
“Damage Swap” As A New Strategy In The PT:
1. Because it is “New Strategy”, it is difficult to counter
2. “New Strategy” might not be more difficult to play such as how those plays will be like in the PT and how to connect them in the PT. So, even with PT experience, I would stay with a handful of plays to maintain and protect my first place streak. Example: With a handful of plays = plays that will be difficult to counter in the PT or might not even be counter.
Introducing “Switch”: The New Strategy And More Difficult Plays making my “Damage Swap” an important PT experience for Pokemon Players who wanting to understand about the “Damage Swap” or use the “Damage Swap” in the PT. Another reason is because those PT experience gained are Psychic Type PT Experience and Psychic Type PT combinations plays.
While there are a lot of focus on “New Strategy”, but the familiar strategy were in the construction of “Damage Swap” such as I have to get deep into my past PT experience and past PT combinations plays from my TFPD. Example: the ways to evolve Abra to Kadabra.
“Damage Swap” and “Switch” heavily evolve around Abra, Kadabra, and Alakazam, so the “style of play” called “Switch” could start happening.
Example of “Switch”:
1. Because, “Damage Swap” heavily evolve around Abra, Kadabra, and Alakazam, so the main goal is to protect Abra, Kadabra, and Alakazam.
2. Abra, Basic Pokemon, Kadabra, Stage 1 Pokemon, and Alakazam, Stage 2 Pokemon: From Basic, Stage 1, and Stage 2 all of them have lesser HP than most Pokemons. The lesser HP is part of the “Switch”.
3. Decks usually have 1-2 styles. “Damage Swap’s” “Switch” have twice as many and more of styles. There is an exception with this “Damage Swap” such as, “But even with PT experience, I would stay with a handful of plays to maintain and protect my first place streak.” So, in other words, this “Damage Swap” just have twice as many styles.
4. Combining the many styles with the “Damage Swap’s” combinations. Mix around, and making “Damage Swap’s” plays are most difficult to counter.
5. The different Attackers (Active Pokemons) for Mid Game and Late Game. In Default, Psychic Type Pokemons’ plays are consider more tactical/strategical than other Elemental Type Pokemons. The different Attackers combined with Psychic Type Pokemons’ Default, work well in the play. But, this combination blended/played perfectly with the things above. There is an exception with this “Damage Swap” such as, “But even with PT experience, I would stay with a handful of plays to maintain and protect my first place streak.” Even with that exception, there are Jynx, Kadabra, and Alakazam as Attackers for Mid Game and Late Game. Note: Chansey could also be a Mid Game and Late Game attacker, but need Chansey for the Damage Swap and Pokemon Center Combination.

“Damage Swap’s” Biography
"Damage Swap" Pokemon (19 Total) Abra 4x Kadabra 4x Alakazam 4x Chansey 4x Jynx 3x
Trainer (22 Total) Pokemon Trader 4x Professor Oak 3x Computer Search 4x Item Finder 4x Pokemon Center 2x Energy Retrieval 3x Switch 2x
Energy (19 Total) Psychic Energy 16x Double Colorless Energy 3x
Damage: Damage Counter abbreviate as Damage. Example: 1 Damage Counter = 10 HP Of Damage. 2 Damage Counters = 20 HP Of Damage. Also, 10 Damage is implied as 10 HP of Damage, 20 Damage is implied as 20 HP of Damage, and etc..
Tips On Evolving Abra To Kadabra:
1. Playing Multiple Abra at once
2. Evolve Abra to Kadabra ASAP
3. Keep Abra in the bench
4. Make sure your opponent do not have Trainer Card(s) that “effect your side of the arena” such as Gust of Wind.
5. Do not attach Energy Card to Abra
6. Use Kadabra’s Super Psy attack, so the focus will be at Kadabra. Then, evolve Abra when there is an opportunity
Confuse Ray, Super Psy, And Damage Swap Combination: Once, evolved an Alakazam, as Attackers (Active Pokemons), switch between Alakazam’s Confuse Ray attack 3 Psychic Energies (Energy Type Table) and Kadabra’s Super Psy attack 2 Psychic Energies And 1 Energy (Energy Type Table). Combined those attacks with Alakazam’s Pokemon Power, Damage Swap to swap the Attackers’ received Damage to the Bench’s Pokemon(s).
Damage Swap And Pokemon Center Combination: This combination is more effective with Pokemon(s) that have a lot of HP such as Chansey. First, using Damage Swap to swap all Damages received to Pokemon(s) without Energy Card, then use Pokemon Center. All the Damage(s) will be removed/recovered from the Pokemon(s) with Damage(s), and this combination do not required to discard any Energy Card. Example: Recovered up to 4 Chansey at once, and do not required to discard any Energy Card.
Tips On Kadabra’s Super Psy Attack 2 Psychic Energies And 1 Energy (Energy Type Table): Make sure to have 1 Kadabra for Late Game. Without attack effect, this is the strongest Psychic attack in “Damage Swap”. Super Psy attack does 50 Psychic Damage, preferred/suggested amount of Damage for Mid Game and Late Game. Especially when applying Weakness, this attack does 100 Psychic Damage. Note: Chansey’s Double Edge attack is the strongest attack in “Damage Swap”. As for Jynx’s Meditate attack 2 Psychic Energies And 1 Energy (Energy Type Table) to be a stronger attack than Kadabra’s Super Psy attack, required opponent’s Defending (Active) Pokemon to received 40+ Damages (attack effect).
This construction knowing that there is a high chance in a match with an opponent using “Whirlpool”. Example: Energy Retrieval 3x, Switch 2x, Psychic Energy 16x, and Double Energy 3x.

“Damage Swap’s” PT Experience Biography
Even though there are fewer Pokemon Players show up with “Whirlpool”, but I would not be surprise to matchup with “Whirlpool” again. In addition, those Pokemon Players with “Whirlpool” had gain experience from the previous PT, and again, a few slight modification of the “Whirlpool” would be expected.
After a few matches with “Damage Swap”, it work well such as the plays connected, and while I did not get into difficult situation yet, but I am certain that those plays also connected in difficult situation. At the same time, because it is a new strategy, few counters from Pokemon Players. Also, there are Pokemon Players do not know how to counter it. So, there are matches that Pokemon Players does not stand a chance.
While I played out those plays from constructing the “Damage Swap”, but it is the first time I am using it in the PT. I maxed out Chansey, maxed out Pokemon Traders, and maxed out Computer Search so that I could get Chansey right away at the starting transition. Again, there is going to have Pokemon Players copy the “Whirlpool” more than the “Haymaker” at least that point of time. With Chansey’s Blocking (by using Chansey’s Block attack 2 Energies) (Energy Type Table) at the starting transition will allow a neutral period. In addition, if opponent decide to attack, the attacks are with minimized from Chansey’s Block.
If an attack is required, Jynx’s Double Slap attack, only required 1 Pcychic Energy (Energy Type Table). Otherwise, Chansey’s Block during the starting transition. Because Abra do not have a lot HP, Abra usually stay in the bench, and evolve into Kadabra ASAP. At the same time while playing Abra into the bench, make sure your opponent do not have trainer card(s) that “effect your side of the arena”. In addition, to minimize this situation to happen such as Abra being knock out, do not attach Energy Card to Abra.
Evolving into a few Kadabra is the goal, the more the better. Even before evolved an Alakazam, Kadabra’s Recover attack 2 Psychic Energies (Energy Type Table), could last for as much turns as the number of Energy Card(s) in your hand. Or depended on the arena, Kadabra could attack, then Recover on the next turn. With more Kadabra in play, have a high chance of evolving into Alakazam. Once evolved an Alakazam, then use Alakazam’s Confuse Ray 3 Psychic Energies (Energy Type Table) and Kadabra’s Super Psy 2 Psychic Energies and 1 Energy (Energy Type Table) as the attackers. Combined those attacks with Alakazam’s Damage Swap. Like with the “Whirlpool”, some of those Pokemon Players don’t even stand a chance.
Note: As for Mewtwo, the Base Set Theme Deck been sold out for a period time, and one of those Theme Decks is “Zap!” which included Mewtwo. So, the trading transaction for Mewtwo at that time might went up. Also, because of the “Whirlpool” while constructing the “Damage Swap”, I have to reconsider having Mewtwo in the deck.
While “Damage Swap” most effective plays still have not been use, but it would be most effective (best) to save it for Final or at least getting close to the Final such as 1-2 rounds away from Final.
In addition, for some reasons matching up with “Whirlpool”. Either way, I was able to not use it, until my Final match. Coincidentally, the Final was matchup with a Pokemon Player using “Whirlpool”.
The “Damage Swap’s” plays I had been using so far, had been known in the PT by this point. The Finalist, could have also been using “Whirlpool” last PT, so if that is the case, that Finalist would have gained a lot PT experience with “Whirlpool”. Either way, I am putting this Finalist as a tougher opponent than the last PT Pokemon Player who use “Whirlpool”. So, in other words, the Poliwhirl attack going to cause problems. The Finalist was certain about that.
In conclusion, since it is Final is time I use those “Damage Swap’s” most effective plays. While at this point of time, the PT was still not maxed out with Pokemon Players/Participants, but there were some Pokemon Players watching this match. Those Pokemon Players were expecting to see those “Damage Swap’s” plays that they lost to in the PT. At the same time, knowing that I, Pokemon Master have more plays or could create different plays if needed. Especially those Pokemon Players who had watched some of my matches.
The Final match was so close to champion (Read the full match play-through). So far, it felt as the longest match I had been in. Those Pokemon Players who were watching those matches were into those matches. Example:
1. First Time Psychic Type Deck got this far in the PT
2. Because there were plays, they have not seen before such as Psychic Type’s plays.
3. It is the Final, so the matches would be intense.
______________________________________________________________
“Damage Swap” VS “Whirlpool”: The PT Final Round (First Match And Second Match)
My “Damage Swap” In A Match With A Finalist Using “Whirlpool”
Note: Because of my “Damage Swap’s” exception, there is only a handful of plays and mainly have Jynx, Kadabra, and Alakazam as Attackers. By the time I advanced to the Final round (match), most of the plays had been seen in my PT rounds (matches). Another note, in the “Whirlpool”, Poliwhirl’s Amnesia attack is an effective attack against my “Damage Swap”. Example: when the Finalist’s “Whirlpool” Poliwhirl’s Amnesia attack at around Starting Transition, Mid Game, and Late Game could prevent attacking for as long as the “Whirlpool” needed to build up that Finalist’s bench. Unless I retreat my Attacker (Active Pokemon), evolve, or use the Switch Trainer Card.
Note on Poliwhirl’s Amnesia attack: when used on an Active Pokemon, could prevent that Active Pokemon from using an attack for 1 turn. If that Active Pokemon only have 1 attack, then that Active Pokemon could not attack for 1 turn.
The first match, there were some Poliwhirl’s Amnesia attack, to build up the Finalist’s bench. The Finalist build up Dragonair, because Dragonair’s card status had resistance to Psychic Type. Once the Finalist put out Dragonair as Attacker (Active Pokemon), the Finalist would use Dragonair’s Hyper Beam attack 4 Energies (Energy Type Table) does 20 Damage. The amount of Damage might not be a lot Damage, but the attack effect is worth building up this attack such as able to discard Energy Card attached to Attacker (Active Pokemon). So, because of this attack effect, prevent my Attacker from building up Energy Card. The Hyper Beam attack combined with Gust of Wind, could also prevent my Bench Pokemon from building up Energy Card.
Getting toward Mid Game, the Finalist had also build up a Poliwrath with 2 Water Energies And a Double Energy (Energy Type Table) enough for the Whirlpool attack in the Finalist’s Bench. Because the Finalist been using the combination, of Hyper Beam attack, Gust of Wind, Energy Removal, and Super Energy Removal. So, my side of the arena, had either had no Energy or 1-2 Energies at most. But, we had not acquired any prize from Knock Out Pokemon yet.
At around Mid Game, the Finalist starting to use Dragonair’s Slam attack 3 Energies (Energy Type Table). In the Finalist’s Bench, another Poliwrath was build up but focus the Water Energies on the Poliwrath’s Water Gun attack 3 Water Energies (The Requirement Only Need 2 Water Energies And 1 Energy) (Energy Type Table). Because the Finalist use up almost all his Trainer Cards earlier and switch to Slam attack instead of Hyper Beam attack, so I now build up Kadabra and starting to build up my Alakazam. I been constantly using Alakazam’s Pokemon Power, Damage Swap to Swap the Damages Received evenly to all of my Pokemons. Also, make good use of the Pokemon Center. At the same time, having some Damages to keep the plays going.
So, the Finalist decided to retreat Dragonair, and put out the Poliwrath with Maxed Out of Water Energies (5 Water Energies) on the Water Gun attack (Energy Type Table). Basically, putting out any Pokemon’s card status without Psychic Type resistance would be part of my play. I switched my Active Pokemon with the build up Kadabra. The Poliwrath’s Water Gun attack Damages was Swapped to my bench’s Pokemons. So, the first prize of this match was Kadabra knock out Poliwrath with two Super Psy attacks 2 Psychic Energies And 1 Energy (Energy Type Table).
Either a counter or a Poliwrath’s revenge response, the Finalist put out Poliwhirl, and used the Amnesia attack on Kadabra’s Super Psy (Poliwhirl’s Amnesia attack 2 Water Energies) (Energy Type Table). After 1-2 Turn(s) with Amnesia, I switched Kadabra (with Switch Trainer Card) to the Bench, and put out another Kadabra as active, the reason not Alakazam is because there are Dragonair who card status had Psychic Type resistance in the Finalist’s Bench. So, Kadabra’s Super Psy attack does 50 Damages to Poliwhirl. After 1-2 Turn(s) with Amnesia, I evolved Kadabra to Alakazam to negated the Amnesia’s attack effect. Also, for the second knock out such as Alakazam’s Confuse Ray attack 3 Psychic Energies knock out Poliwhirl.
The Finalist commented, “I am going to use my Psychic Resistance Pokemons.” After a few turns with Dragonair’s Hyper Beam attack and Slam attck, my Alakazam down to 0-1 Energy Card. Because, I been Swapping the Damages from Alakazam to my Bench’s Pokemons, so Alakazam did not get knock out.
Now, we are in Late Game. Dragonair’s card status had Psychic Type resistance and combined with the Dragonair’s Hyper Beam attack, before my Psychic Type Pokemons could knock out Dragonair, those Pokemons would be out of Energy (With the exception of Chansey’s Double Edge attack). So, switching Alakazam to my Bench at this point would not be an effective play. Because of the Damage Swap And Pokemon Center, all the Damages received were recovered. I had used this combination in this PT before, so those Pokemon Players who are watching had seem it before. “That’s how I lost my matches.”
After a few turns, the Finalist added 2 Water Energies (Energy Type Table) to the already build up Poliwrath with 2 Water Energies And a Double Energy (Energy Type Table) enough for the Whirlpool attack. At this point, even if the deck did not run out, I have a high chance in this match. Example: Build up Chansey would be like a double knock out, once Chansey knock out Dragonair, the Finalist will counter with Poliwrath for the knock out of Chansey. Then I will counter with Kadabra to knock out Poliwrath.
Some more turns had passed by, now the Finalist saw that there were only some cards left in the Finalist’s deck. So far in the PT with my “Damage Swap”, I had not won my matches from opponent’s running out of cards in the deck. When the Finalist saw that the Finalist’s deck is about to run out, know that the match is about be over. When Finalist’s deck ran out, there were a few cards left in my deck. So far in the PT, there had not a Pokemon Player who use Psychic Type Deck, and got this far in the PT. So, that would be my argument, after seeing the Finalist had a surprising reaction after losing the first match.
Then, the next match (Final round second match), the Finalist was concern about the Finalist’s deck, so the Finalist would sometime discard cards like “Bill” and “Professor Oak”. Dratini’s and Dragonair’s card status had resistance to Psychic type. Poliwrath’s Water Gun attack could do heavy damage. That would be a more preferable plays to use than discarding “Bill” and “Professor Oak”. I got first place before with my “Whirlpool” in the PT.
In other words, during the second match, the Finalist could not make the Finalist’s plays without “Bill” and “Professor Oak”. So, I saw this and use that as part of my plays.
The plays from the first match was not in the second match, but instead the Finalist trying to use the Dratini’s and the Dragonair’s card status that had resistance to Psychic type and Poliwhirl’s Amnesia attack until my deck run out. Again, my argument is so far in the PT, there had not a Pokemon Player who use Psychic Type Deck, and got this far in the PT.
I constructed the “Whirlpool”, knowing very well of the plays in the “Whirlpool”. To get a win like in the second match was rare. In conclusion, the Final round second match was the first time I had a clear win over the “Whirlpool”. Also, I protected my first place streak with my “Damage Swap”.
______________________________________________________________
“Damage Swap’s” PT Feedback And My Future Matches
Again, “While with a few “Whirlpool” in the PT, there were still new Pokemon Players joined the PT after each PT.” So, my “Damage Swap” in the Second Match of the Final round had a clear win over “Whirlpool”. At the same time, the first time a Psychic Type Deck had made this far in the PT. Right after the Psychic Type Deck got first place in the PT, there were talks about the Psychic Type Deck all over the PT such as wanting to construct Psychic Type Deck or wanting to construct deck with Psychic Type Pokemon(s). As for me, a chance to use those Psychic Type’s plays and see how those plays work such as connecting and countering. Introducing “Switch”, and seeing “Switch” happening in the PT.
Because of Abra, Kadabra, and Alakazam having lesser HP than other Pokemons, so the feedback would be on able to throughout each matches in the PT, to get them to the highest evolution. Because they having lesser HP than other Pokemons could be one of the reason, fewer Pokemon Players would use them in the PT, so probably the Negative feedbacks would be about the lesser HP.
Able to show how to use Chansey effectively in the PT such as “I remember after protected my first place streak with “Energy Transfer”, saying to myself, “I know how to use Chansey.” Could have been those few different plays from Chansey that I used. I also had another deck, “Damage Swap” that required the Chansey and Pokemon Center combination.”
A combination of my “Energy Transfer’s” Chains was chaining so well last PT, and there are Mewtwo and Jungle Set cards that was being reconsidered, constructing with a handful of plays, and “Switch” just being introduced, so unlike how I show and tell about my “Haymaker”. At the same time knowing Pokemon Player(s) going to try to mimic my “Damage Swap’s” first place. From those talks about Psychic Type, Psychic Type had established in the PT.
Basically, I could use that combination in my argument such as because “Damage Swap’s” did not chained as much as those “Energy Transfer’s” Chains from last PT, the cards was limited, probably all my handful of plays had been seen and copied, and “Switch” just being introduced that is why I did not show and tell like how I show and tell my “Haymaker”. At the same time there is going to have Pokemon Players showing up with “Damage Swap” and decks with Psychic Type Pokemons. In other words, my back-to-back of “Energy Transfer” and “Damage Swap” (right next to each other), in a PT that had a few “Whirlpool” and continuously having new Pokemon Players after each PT. With that argument, after I credited my PT prizes to get some Base Set Booster Packs, some Jungle Set Booster Packs, and a “Power Reserve” Theme Deck, while getting back to my house from the PT place, “Had I put more weight on myself?” Or, “I should reconsider about my “Haymaker” that started my first place streak?”
In conclusion, that back-to-back of “Energy Transfer” and “Damage Swap”, both decks got first place and brought “Awe” to the PT. Also, my “Damage Swap” in the second match Final round had a clear win overcoming “Whirlpool”. Another thing, even though, my “Energy Transfer” had a very close match winning against “Whirlpool”, but having PT experience using “Energy Transfer” will going to benefit my future matches such as knowing how to manipulate Energy.
