At first it just kinda looks like Sid maybe has charcoal smeared on his face or something, but it eventually winds up growing into a decent amount of scruff.

@dameeldritch tbh I really really love the term queer not only as a way of describing my own sexuality but as an umbrella term. Like I know some people who really hate it and I won’t use it for them, but generally I really love it

i just wanted to send a message of sympathy for all BC readers, coming from Australia I know how devastating fires can be to people, stay safe.

Its not just BC its all of western Canada; particularly in Saskatchewan, British Columbia and Alberta.

half serious, like i feel like pearl's not trying to put connie in danger, she's just trying to do the right thing, like i feel like the way you phrased it makes pearl sound like a heartless monster which is the opposite of the truth?

well, like, she is? Her “right thing” is use Steven’s human friend as a shield, to protect him at all costs? She’s completely forgetting that Connie is a mortal, like she forgot Steven can be harmed in Space Race.

She’s not heartless, at all, but she’s been so caught up in being Rose’s everything, even after Rose is gone, that she keeps forgetting Steven isn’t Rose, and humans aren’t Gems.

THAT BEING SAID I love her a lot, like, so much, and I’m really glad they paired the “Pearl has issues” episodes with the “and here’s why” episodes.

small but vocal minority tho, most people use singular they without even realising until a trans person asks them to do it

i’ve noticed everyone uses singular they, even when they insist they don’t. There’s different kinds of singular they (gender and number) and even those people who say they don’t will use both of them.

pretty much it’s 100% people being transphobic assholes and using “grammar” as an excuse (even though there’s nothing grammatically wrong about singular they)

omg tho which parts?!?!

i mean, i’ve always wanted to play Mimi (like, that would make my life) and right now i probably won’t be able to do this production unless i get cast as her (which is kind of a big ask but yaknow) but i wouldn’t mind playing Joanne either. Or I’d love to go back to doing ensemble parts but in another production at another time and place.
