2,000 guests. 38,000 pieces of food. 200 staff on site. The opening of Nordstrom Ridgedale was an event to envy and enjoy. Our event planners, wait staff and chefs worked in fluid motion to refine every detail of the presentation, timing, service, taste and thoughtful menu creation. The result was an opening party that combined the best in fashion and gastronomy. A perfect pairing. We were honored to help Nordstrom showcase their beautiful new store.

D’Amico Catering is seeking those who strive for excellence in all that they do. We are now hiring for service positions at our exclusive venue properties as well as off-premise venues. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and customer service skills; our standard is impeccable service. We invite only positive, enthusiastic, and happy attitudes. You must be hard working, willing to be gracious under pressure, and know how to be a team player. If serving imaginative food, being part of intriguing venues, and delivering impeccable service interests you, then please apply.
We are hiring for the following positions:
Weekend Catering Server: (8-20 hours per week)
*Prior restaurant or catering experience is preferred, but not required
*Strong guest service skills
*Lift up to 50 lbs. and work at a quick pace for 8 hours or more
*Provide own transportation to and from events
*Work every Saturday (w/ only a few exceptions)
*Start Date: Friday, April 10th
Full-Time Catering Server: (average of 30 hours per week annually)
*Same requirements as above
*Willing to drive the D’Amico Catering trucks
*Full-time availability is preferred, but Thursdays, Fridays, & Saturdays are required
*Start Date: Friday, April 10th
On-Call Catering Bartender: (10-20 hours per week)
*Must have 1 year of bartending service that includes making liquor cocktails OR 2 years of bartender / restaurant / catering service experience with a bar school certification
*Cash handling experience
*Must be able to work Saturdays
*Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
*Willing to load and unload catering trucks before and after shifts
*Must have strong guest service and communication skills
*Candidates should be able to work independently, but also be great team players

Market Square Bistro Hourly Manager: (approx: 35 hours per week)
The Market Square Bistro is a restaurant located in the Atrium of International Market Square near downtown Minneapolis. Our menu features seasonally inspired sandwiches and salads in addition to our daily salad bar. Open Monday-Friday, 11:30 am - 2:00 pm
*Prior restaurant supervisory experience required

Chef serviced cake stations are high in demand, offering guests a selection of cake and icing flavors, as well as garnishes to please their palette. At a recent event at the McNamara Wedding Showcase our D'Amico Catering guests sampled Banana Cake with Chocolate Ganache, Caramel Mousse and White Chocolate Buttercream, Triple Chocolate Torte, Devil's Food Cake filled with Fudge Chocolate Ganache and Chocolate Mousse with Vanilla Buttercream, as well as White Cake with Lemon Raspberry Studded Mousse Filling with Pure White Frosting.
TOPPINGS options included: Chocolate Fudge Sauce, Raspberry Coulis, Crème Anglaise, Whipped Cream, Toasted Almond, Caramel Sauce, Toffee Brittle, Hibiscus Syrup.
It was a decadent sips and desserts event that left guest wanting for nothing and enjoying everything.

Meet, greet & eat with Chef Marshall Paulsen at Gather by D'Amico this March.
A place to meet and greet every Thursday, Gather by D'Amico in the Walker Art Center, has been called "a more fluid, community-driven real-world dining experience" by MN Monthly. In addition to delectable small plates, a stellar happy hour and the best view of the Twin Cities, Gather features a new local guest chef the first Thursday of each month.
For March, Gather welcomes the highly lauded Chef Marshall Paulsen of Birchwood Cafe located in the Seward neighborhood of Minneapolis. In their words, Birchwood Cafe "is much more than a cafe; we're a community. Being part of the larger picture is something we value, as is respect for a healthy planet. We demonstrate our commitment to our community by supporting sustainable organic farming, buying close to home."
Their well-respected menu is largely due to the vision of Chef Marshall Paulsen. Paulsen grew up in St. Paul and began his restaurant career working as a bus boy, waiter & bartender at the age of 15. After moving to Wisconsin to attend school, Paulsen began working as a line cook and eventually became an executive chef. Seven years ago, Chef Paulsen found his perfect match in the Birchwood Cafe where he has been creating "Good Real Food" for the masses.
In his eleven years as a chef, Paulsen has established many long-standing relationships with local farmers, recognizing that seasonal produce & meats are of much higher quality when grown and sourced locally.

D'Amico Catering's goal was to capture the spirit of the Minnesota Northwood’s with a themed menu. We transformed classic Minnesota comfort food, into sophisticated, yet authentic, high-end party fare. Spectacular and ever-so fun decoration and design was developed by the talented Bungalow 6 and Todd Pinzuti.
We recognize that many of these traditional local dishes evoke memories and fond experiences for native Minnesotans who grew up eating these items. As we heard guests talk about their memories and stories as it relates to these recipes, we felt enormous pride that our authentic Minnesota cuisine was a vessel to transport guests back to those moments, creating a rewarding theme and event experience. Thanks to all of our event partners including Todd Pinzuti with Bungalow 6, Showcore and The University of Minnesota Events Team.
