Mark had been hiding his secret from everyone for years now. No one but himself knew about him being a werewolf. He never allowed his bite scars to show but if someone spotted and asked, he would just say he was bitten by a dog once when he was younger -- which wasn't entirely a lie.

However, lately his whole werewolf situation was making things particularly difficult, especially since he was catching feelings for a close friend of his; Dee. They went to each other for everything and Mark knew he couldn't live without her. But instincts and feelings were mashing in his head and he became scared -- scared that she would fins out the truth and he would be left heartbroken.

So he grew distant. He always had excuses for everything to get out of situations. Even though guilt swallowed him, he continued. Anything would be better than being heartbroken because of the fact that he was a freak.

Yet what he hadn't expected was for Dee to literally show up at his place, fuming and wanting answers.

Hoxmarch had always been known as an arrogant Prince. Women would drop to their knees for just a glance and he basked in his material glory. He was full of himself and learned not to get attached, though this was due to losing his mother at a young age and having a strict father leading before him.

However, when a young enchantress happened to stumble upon his castle to meet his arrogant Majesty, she placed a curse on the entire property. Hoxmarch would be a beast until he would fall in love with someine who would reciprocate his feelings. He should do so before the death of his rose, or remain a beast forever.

And that is how the prince became a beast living in a nearly abandoned castle stuck in an endless winter, forgotten by his people and angrily awaiting for someone to come and pull him out of his misery.
