I've always really liked Karliah's dagger symbol, though I have no recollection where I would have seen it before "Dampened Spirits" unless I'm completely blanking.

Dampened Spirits
Little to be talked about for this episode I'm afraid, as the first part is just talking to people before the 'dungeon' area of the quest and the final part which was just more talking. First I went to the Bee and the Barb to talk to Maven Black-Briar about helping her put Honningbrew Meadery out of business and to find out how they got so successful so quickly. From there we went to meet Mallus Maccius at the Bannered mare abut the plan to poison the mead before a tasting by the captain of the hold guard. I also read the book next to him in the inn M'shara's diary and started the quest When the Cat's Away. Next we headed to the meadery itself where I intimidated Sabjorn into giving half of the pay to clear out the skeevers first. From there it was just a case of following the quest markers to the skeever nests and the brewing vat. With Seranna and Uthgerd at my side the skeeevers and the wizard Hamelyn along the way posed little threat as I hung back with the shield while they tanked and I hit our occasionally with the dagger. I managed to poison the skeever nests before going onto poison the mead. Returning to Sabjorn I witnessed the tasting and the mans subsequent arrest before speaking to Mallus and getting the key to the Sabjorn dresser to find the information Maven requested. Upon returning to Maven she reads the information taken and although she does not recognize the symbol at the bottom as it appeared at Goldenglow she recommends talking to Brynjolf. When in the cistern i told Brynjolf about the symbol which he believed was pointing to someone wanting to drive a wedge between Maven and the Guild before sending me off to Mercer to continue the search and ending Dampened Spirits.

This is just to help to encourage us to mix up what we do a bit more.

Skyrim Special Edition Ep. 81: Dampened Spirits
Dampened Spirits
There was something about this place that unnerved her more than the others.
The dark seemed closer than before, less hidden that it dared be in the foliage of the Weald or the stone of the Ruins. It lurked in every tidepool, and tangled in every emerging branched of coral. The torchlight seemed to do nothing to staunch it, hissing with every drop of water that dared to touch it. Holding the torch higher seemed only to dampen it more quickly, much to Crevecoeur’s dismay. She is not a woman that belongs in the light, but for once, she wishes it would linger around her a while longer.
She can hear the Occultist behind her muttering under his breath, cursing as the damp puts out the candle that burns on that morbid instrument of his for the thousandth time, and the snickering of the Arbalest behind that at his frustration. At least one person here seemed to be having an easy time of such an eerie place.
That, of course, left the Hellion before her. Tall, muscular, feminine. A curious figure made of what she once assumed opposites, pressed into one woman. Despite the dark, that spear seems to glint and gleam as brightly as any gold, or ice on tombstones. Crevecoeur presses a little closer to the stranger, silently, offering the torch to her. “Here. Light the way, stranger. This expedition promises to be long, and it may improve morale if she would see where we step.” Her voice is more subdued than usual, just above the whisper.
Something is lurking in the brine, and she dare not disturb it prematurely.

One of my favorite things to do when I'm playing Skyrim is stealing all of the Honningbrew Mead bottles during "Dampened Spirits".
And when I say "all of the Honningbrew Mead bottles," I mean "ALL of the Honningbrew Mead bottles."
"During the Dampened Spirits quest, I stole about around six to nine thousand septims in mead. I had to sell to Tonila at least three times before I could get rid of it all."
