so,i never played/read dangan roppa,but i saw some information about it,and today i dreamed that i was on a school with a survival death game with the prize of a coconut....
i'm gonna talk about dangan ronpa after i finish it!

Opening ceremony continued
Not even remotely surprised that Monobear could and did pull a kamikazi explosion.
Legitimately surprised that Mondo wasn't killed by it.
And wow every single piece of music in this section is stupidly choice. Byakuya earned a few points toward favorite with that comment near the end... Said two seconds before I realize the position of "favorite character" is probably going to fluidly change throughout the course of the game. So I guess I really just like them all?
With a few notable exceptions.
Anyway yeah, not much to comment on this early on. I went in knowing that general plot so nothing really surprising here... Soon, though.
Intro, Introductions, and Opening Ceremony
Right off the bat I can tell the game's got some unique music. Unique good or unique bad? Trick question unique is always good.
Anyways, characters. Makoto, Super High-School Level Creep toward women Good Luck. Very everyman-type character, which is always good for a VN protag but at the same time with a cast of nutcases there's a high risk of him becoming just bland. Few hints here and there that there's more to him, so looking forward to that!
Speaking of the other characters... Anime trope overdose. Except lol apparently only half of them stick to that and half go on to subvert those tropes in surprising ways... At least the half that don't die.
Or maybe them too?
Favs at this point are probably Kiyotaka and Leon, with Leon edging out because he's got red friggin' hair and a may-care attitude I can totally get down with.
So of course nine bucks says he dies first.
Sigh.
