its all started after the first kill. sayaka trying to kill Leon ended up with him killing her instead, everyone was horrified to say the least. you of course were one of them. but it was all alright because after all you had him with you.
chihiro fujisaki.
you guys each other before the whole killing game started and you stick together for most of the time. comforting each other and promise to stay by each other's side.
you knew about his secret, him being a boy and not a girl. but you never see him any less because of it. you support him through everything. he also supports as well.
now it's time for the second motive. when monokoma starts talking about the second motive you were closer to chihiro, you know what was about to come. something definitely not good but you keep assuring chihiro that everything will be fine and you'd protect him.
when monokoma presents the next motive which was deep secrets of someone past you know what he was doing. driving each other into killing to keep the secrets safe.
your first thought was chihiro, you know how this could affect him specially if everyone knows his secret. you quickly get close to him as you put your arm on his shoulder as he almost shed tears.
"hey, everything will be fine alright? i promise you no one going think differently of you" you said as you patted his back.
"b..but y/n what if they-" before he could finish his words you heard taka from other side of the room speaking as loud as possible.
he was talking about how others should share their secrets so no one would have reason to kill, as much as you would love to agree with him you know it wasn't easy for anyone, specially chihiro.
"y/n, chihiro what do you think?" he said as he looked at you two, you take a quick look at chihiro before looking back again at taka with an almost gentle smile.
"we're sorry taka, i have to agree with the others, maybe not right now." you say almost quietly as you see the disappointment fill taka face.
all you care about right now was chihiro. so you quickly exude yourself from the rest if the students as you start walking away with chihiro with you. you both stopped at your dorm before coming in and closing the door behind you.
"what if they didn't accept me n/n" chihiro said standing in the middle of the room not facing you but you could tell he was holding tears just by the crack of his voice.
"of course they will, and if they don't then they'll have to answer to me!" you said as you get closer to him now. holding both of his hands as you offered him a cheering smile.
"you're strong chihiro, stronger and braver than most people i know! if anyone causes you trouble then I'll deal with them!"
you almost could swear that you see his eyes glow for a second when you talked about how strong and brave he was. but the light quickly died down as tears start filling his eyes
"i don't want you getting into trouble because of me.." he said looking down in embarrassment and shame, you quickly held his face in your hands. caressing his cheeks as you whipped his tears away.
"well i don't mind the trouble if it's mean staying with you! I'd even fight monokoma if he starts giving you trouble." you said smiling softly at him.
"now how about we cuddle to take your mind off of this?" you said before dragging him into your bed so you could hold him dearly into your arms. h didn't reset at all.

later that evening you were with chihiro as usual and that when he told about his plan to tell mondo about his secret. you at first didn't think it was the best idea but you couldn't stop him. he really wanted to be strong and you knew the only person that could actually help him was mondo.
you just give him a quick smile as you before hugging and wishing him the best of luck. you never seen chihiro so excited before, how could you stand in his way now.
after he left you decide to sleep as it already passed 10am, but you had a hard feeling in your chest. you couldn't sleep. you felt worried but why? you couldn't tell.
mondo wouldn't do anything to him.. right? that's what you thought. mondo was a man of his words, he wouldn't hurt chihiro just because he's a boy and not a girl. you wanted to believe that but something in your guts tells you otherwise.
after a few hours of trying to fight this feeling you decide to come up and check on chihiro just so you can rest knowing he's alright. you had no problem entering the guys gym because you knew about the dead student card in the other room and you could easily use it.
(note: yes i do know that mondo took leon's and there's no other card that'll work but please imagine there is for the sake of this story, thank you)
as you walk to the gym area you felt even more worried, but you couldn't put your finger on why.
'come on y/n pull yourself together! chihiro is fine, mondo is a good man..' that's what you try convincing yourself. but your world come easy to crash.
as you use the card to open the door you were greeted with the sight of mondo holding a dumbbell up his head and in front of him was... chihiro!
you felt your word stopped as you saw the view stopping slowly in front of you. mondo holding dumbbell up trying to hit something and infornt of him stand chihiro your only friend. standing there as sign of horror draw on his face. non of them seem to notice you.
and before you know it, your body acts on its own before holding the closet thing to you and throwing it at mondo as a way to stop him from hurting chihiro. which was successful to stop mondo, but it looks like it stopped him forever.
chihiro pov:
i didn't know what was happening, at first i told mondo about my secret but suddenly he looked all angry. i thought he hated that i was boy in girl disguise but suddenly he started talking.
"why are you telling me this!?? are you making fun of me!??" mondo said angrily as his face started to change and his tone higher up.
"what no! i just wanted to be as strong as you are!" i said nervously trying to to hold tears as his tone got louder and louder. i couldn't understand what actually bothered him.
"strong... yea I'm strong! I'm the strongest here!! I'm stronger than you and stronger than big brother!!" all i remember seeing was mondo yelling loudly before holding dumbbell up his head, in that moment my head wasn't quick enough to understand what was happening.
but before he could hit me suddenly his body fell limp on the ground.
and that's when my mind finally clicked! mondo, the one i trusted the most was trying to hit me with a dumbbell, he was... trying to kill me!
and that's when i suddenly felt another person present in the room. when i turn around I see... y/n!
i was stunned in my place, how did she get in here?? and how she's doing here!
that's when i realize what was happening. mondo who was laying on the ground right now was dead due to y/n throwing dumbbell hardly on his head. when i look down , i see it. mondo body in pool on his own blood as the dumbbell seem to crack his head which causes him to die.
y/n pov:
i stood there all frozen, breathing heavily as my vision because blurry, it was as if i almost forget how i get here. suddenly when my mind was back to me i realized what i did.
i killed mondo.
i killed him by throwing a dumbbell at him.. but why did I do this? that's when i remember.
"chihiro!" i said hardly as i quickly rushed to hug him. i didn't care for what was about to happen next, chihiro was safe. i fulfiled my promise, u saved him.
"y.../n.." i heard chihiro breathless voice before pulling away a little holding his face in my hands.
"hey hey, it's fine alright. you're fine. im here, no one is ever going to hurt you i promised you that, you're safe." that's all you could say before whipping his tears away.
i took a quick glance at mondo's body, the dumbbell hit his head so hard it was impossible that he lived with all that blood coming out of him. 'im sorry mondo, i never wanted things to end up like this.'
"y..you killed him.." said chihiro before i turned my glare to him, i was trying to hold my tears as i held his face full of tears and fear.
"i only did it to protect you chihiro! I'm sorry i didn't want to do this, but i couldn't allow him to kill you!"
"what about you y/n! if they find out you killed him... you're.." i knew what he was about to say but i held him before he could continue, wanting to erase that possibility from his head.
"shhh.. it's alright, everything will be alright. you're safe." you said holding as try to hide your teary eyes away. you didn't want him to see you like this. weak, afraid.
"let's go to our dorms, we can deal with this tomorrow." he wanted to say something, but you were quick to hold his hand and take him out of the room. you take a quick glance at mondo's body giving him another apology before closing the door behind you.

in the night you decide to stay in his dorm abs continue holding him, whispering comforting words in his ear, assuring him everything will be alright.

but you didn't wanna think about that. you didn't wanna think of the possibility of you leaving chihiro. no no , you didn't want to. you just wanna be with him. even if that means losing your own life protecting him.

in the next day the body was found and the searching started. you didn't join in the searching deciding to stay by chihiro's side comforting him, assuring him that nothing is going to happen to him. he had no choice but to believe you.
when the trial started you know what was coming, everyone started giving their own theories and talking about the murder when suddenly everyone started accusing chihiro.
apparently, Celeste saw him taking his training stuff when they were in the warehouse. and told her he was hurrying to the gym room. and the same bag was found there.
everyone was accusing him but even with that he didn't say a word about you. he knew that would cause his own death but he didn't say anything. he was protecting you.
that's when it hit you, you didn't protect chihiro. you failed him. you knew that was either your life or his. and he chose you. he chose to protect you.
"just admit it chihiro, you're the one wh-"
"i was the one who killed mondo."
the whole class trial turned silent at sudden confession.
"y.. y/n, what are you talking about! stop trying to defend chihiro just because he's your fri-" hina try saying but you quickly cut her off.
"no hina." you said quietly, almost emotionlessly.
"everything you guys said was right, yes chihiro was in the gym room with mondo. but he isn't the one who killed him. i did. I'm the one who throws the dumbbell at his head."
"but if that's true then how did you enter the guys gym room?" asked celectia which was quickly answered by yasuhiro.
"oh i know! you are a boy just like chihiro! is that why you guys are always close!" said yasuhiro almost confidently but you only chuckles at him.
"no, i simply used leon's card to enter the boys gym."
"so that's why the card was messing when we found sayaka's and junko's" said kyoko thinking deeply about your confession.
"but why! why did you kill him!? was that all for the secrets thing?? answer me at once!" you heard taka yelling at you, but you only smiled.
"mondo was planning on killing chihiro when i enter on them in the boys gym room" you said as the memory of the day before start shooting before your eyes. the look on chihiro's eyes, mondo gaze. everything.
"i panicked and the first thing i did was trying to protect chihiro, which caused me to throw the dumbbell at him, which killed him. i never wanted that, but i had to fulfill my promise."
"your... promise?" sais naegi surprisingly as he stared at you. no one in the room even suspect 1% that you even had a hand in thus whole crime.
"i promise to always protect chihiro.." you said but you stopped mid sentence, not sure if you can continue it.
"even if that means dying in the process." you heard byakuya fishing your sentence. you just nods.
"wait does that mean... chihiro knew all along and let us accuse him??" said hifumi as all the eyes turn to him again.
"please don't be mad at chihiro. it's not his fault, he tried to protect which way i decided to just end this. yes, I am y/n l/n, the one who murder mondo owada."
that all was said before monokoma ends the trial, everyone votes. everyone but chihiro. he couldn't, he was the one that was meant to die. after all he wasn't as strong as you always thought he'd be.
the trial was silent when monokoma announced that you were indeed the killer.
"I'm sorry everyone, I'm sorry taka i didn't mean for this to happen, I hope you'll find it in your heart to forgive me." you said as taka didn't say anything, he didn't even looked at you, you just smile before turning to hina and Sakura.
"can i ask you for something, please? take it as my final" you said softly, they didn't say anything for while but Sakura just nods as hina did the same.
"please protect chihiro for me. i couldn't do it but i know you guys are stronger than me." you said as you can see tears almost fill hina eyes.
"we promise you! we'll protect chihiro for you. that promise between girls" hina said Sakura only nods in response. you smile, now you can die knowing chihiro within safe arms.
then you turn to him, he was looking down all ashamed and embarrassed as tears going down his face, you just walk towards him before hugging him.
"promise me you'll be strong, that you won't cry about me and you'll move on and live happily." chihiro couldn't take he just to hold you as he started crying. you just hold him tighter, you didn't wanna cry, you couldn't, crying won't do you or him any good. you need to be strong, even in your last moments. so you just geld chihiro and didn't wanna let go at all. but that didn't last as monokoma quickly interrupt the moment.
"okay are you guys done with your romantic shit?!! we have execution to perform!!" he said angrily. you sigh as you try pulling away but chihiro didn't let go.
"i promise you I'll be stronger! I'll never forget about you or what you do me to me, I'll make sure no one did!" he said before having hina and Sakura to pull him away from you.
you just smile as a small tear falls down your face. "thank you guys, for everything."
that's all you said before turning around and following monokoma into your death, but you kept on smiling because even if you're dying. you die doing the thing you promise to do.

after the trials Chihiro spent a few days away from everyone. either in his room or just not interacting with anyone at all. everyone understands and gives him space, even hina didn't feel like bothering him knowing how hard it is to lose your closet person ever.
but everything changed when chihiro called everyone into the bathhouse and he seemed to be happiest than ever which was shocking to everyone.
Everyone was confused on why chihiro gathered most of them (most didn't come) in the bathhouse and that's when chihiro show them his new work. while everyone was busy exploring the school he was able to hack into one of computers and make an ai to gather all information possible about this school.
and when everyone saw it they realized why he seemed so happy. because when he showed them the ai it was... you.
on the computer was your face but it wasn't you... it was an ai. an ai chihiro made to remember you, "alter ego". and he was just like you. everything was just like you. it almost give chihiro the feeling that you're still here with him. and that you're still helping him and everyone here.
even if it was just an ai. he said he'll never let anyone forget about you. and he fulfilled his promises. even if you're gone. you still here with him, always and forever.
