₊˚⊹⋆ Things and rules I included in my FALLOUT script:
PS. Although I'm shifting to New Vegas specifically, the "rules" are meant for any Fallout reality.
DR self:
You can make yourself immune to pain, however I scripted that I do feel pain but it's very minor - like a cat's scratch.
Same thing with radiation - you can make yourself immune, but personally I'm not (at least not fully). I'll get some temporary radiation sickness (like minor stomachache, paleness and fatigue) but only if I really get A LOT of radiation in my body - so drinking Nuka Cola won't harm me, jumping into nuclear reactor pool will (but only a little so there are SOME consequences to my actions.)
I also scripted that I (and my companions or possible S/O) can't be injured in any deadly or severe way. So no lost limbs, organs, major changes to appearance - no to burns or broken teeth, but yes to bruises and cuts - you can change the rules however you want though!
I don't remember Fallout's plot nor my backstory (as Courier, no need to include this as a different protagonist/person), but I do remember that I'm also my-CR-self, and that CR-self knows this world as a game. I won't confuse my realities due to not knowing my backstory as Courier 6. + I will learn more and more of my backstory as I journey through the wasteland.
Also, I will always know what to do, where to go, I will never feel lost or confused. I won't be overwhelmed by the completely different, harsh world.
The food/drinks I or others prepare, even the most unusual ones (teriyaki deathclaw steak and rice anyone?), are always at least decent in taste (and never deadly, poisonous or radioactive.) That also includes food at diners, canteens etc. The better the place, the better the food. Oh and you can script that you won't accidentally eat human long pig meat in Ultra Luxe - I forgot but I HAVE TO SCRIPT IT LOL
My period is 1-3 days, I don't feel any menstrual pain, only few seconds of discomfort in my stomach so I won't be surprised by it. There are always available pads/tampons.
Death and violence isn't permanently traumatic to me. No matter how bad the kill or fight is, it's never gorey (it's better if you don't traumatize yourself.)
My Pipboy can't never be stolen, even if I leave it somewhere. I always know where my Pipboy is.
I have the LifaApp in my Pipboy (if you use Lifa ofc). I can stop time with the LifaApp, and I can still control the Pipboy (just like in game). I can return to my CR by choosing an option in my LifaApp in Pipboy. LifaApp is Pipboy/terminal themed.
My underwear is always clean. Don't judge me, it's the apocalypse 😭
I don't have sensory issues, all of my clothes and armor (power armor too) are comfortable.
I can lose/spend all my caps but I will always find a way to gain even more (you can script them to be never ending, can't be stolen...)
I can skip time whenever I want and I know how to do it.
It's good to script that your teeth are healthy, straight and white (if you want to), you never stink and that you have your own personal toothbrush and toothpaste (and it never ends/you will always get another one somehow.) Same thing with deodorant/antiperspirant.
Changes to game lore:
Bigger settlements have running water (some might not have hot water but at least they have ANY water) and (most) people actually take care of their hygiene.
There are more animals than in game. For example, in my DR there are normal and mutated horses, same with cats, dogs and other pets. There are also (same as before, normal and mutated) fish in some bodies of water.
Most settlements should have access to brahmin milk, some kind of eggs (chicken, gecko, whatever), razorgrain flour from - obviously - razorgrain fields.
Gastronomy workers wash their hands and won't spit in my food lmao.
There's possibility that I encounter characters from other Fallout games but they will be aged (up/down) accordingly with the timeline.
Same thing with factions; there can even be new ones - but that's guaranteed in my DR.
Most toilets and bed should be clean, bugs free, and (toilets) be equipped with toilet paper and soap.
Predator animals won't attack me first. They will warn me (growl, hiss etc) first, if I don't back off, they might attack me. Again, it won't be painful, just a cat's scratch.
(Only Fallout New Vegas, although it can be changed to your base of choice) When I reach Lucky 38, there will be Mr/Ms Handy that will clean and cook, there will be a lot of clothes to choose from (elegant and practical), there's always some kind of food, water and alcohol (I have a bar there). And you can just add anything; mine has electricity, running water, bathtub and shower, swimming pool, much more rooms than in game, air conditioning, music room, cinema etc...
There are movies and songs that are, obviously, in Fallout games, some from my world that fit the theme (for example, there's Lana Del Rey but even more retro lol), and "fictional" ones that only exist in my DR.
I also scripted that I enjoy the taste of Nuka Cola and Sunset Sarsaparilla because I (CRself) don't like sodas, especially cola, but I really want to try these and not be disappointed lol
Skills to include:
Most importantly, I'd say, is to prepare your SPECIAL. I "cheated" on mine because I have much more points than there are available in game - my SPECIAL IS: 6/8/7/8/8/6/6 but you can make it all 10s if that's what you want.
Survival:
First aid and medicine knowledge
Fire and shelter building
Foraging, hunting and fishing knowledge and skill
I'm able to read weather and danger signs (examples: there are grey clouds so it will rain/thunder, there's vultures flying so there's a dead body around etc)
Fighting:
Melee and unarmed combat
Firearms and energy weapons expertise
Explosives expertise
Sharpshooter
Self-defense
Other:
Gun maintenance
Lockpicking
Hacking
Understanding of the wasteland and its creatures
Speech
Barter
And any in-game perks you want.
