What if I made a fangonropa visual novel but its structured more around escape rooms and like, traps/puzzles similar to the saw franchise. Would anyone be interested in that?? Is it even a intriguing idea?

I doubt ill be able to make it any time soon (in terms of coding and money for voice actors and art assets), but, I do have a plot and characters in mind already (characters of which are old ocs ive havent used for any other projects yet). And i think just in general its a very untapped niche thing that could prove to be very interesting

Edit: actually... even if i dont have voice actors or art assets, I could probs still teach myself renpy and do at least some coding work ahead of time-- tho that does require me to figure out the script/plot first, which should be the easier part

I swear they all are similar and have similar character tropes/types and I’d honestly love to do a long study into why this trope is popular, but my brain just says ‘funky tech girls are pretty neat’ and that’s basically it.

I kinda feel like im the only one in the fandom who wants to see teruteru go through a character arc in 2x2 (even if he doesnt end up a survivor, i want him to live longer and not be a blackened) so that they can flesh him out and make him be more then just the "short, fat, ugly, pervy, non-white guy" trope (which is gross and off putting in its depiction.. its hard to sit through when watching letsplays of the game). I think he has a lot of untapped intrigue as a character, and is interesting to me based on what we learn about him from his free time events. If they drop that gross trope in 2x2, he could easily become an actual character!

Though, personally, i never found him ugly. I always thought his design was cute and charming- similar to how i view Ryoma's design; even if they are slightly different cases. But i just know that if he looked like what his beta design was instead (aka a tall, skinny, and "conventionally attractive" kind of dude), then 80% of the fandom that prays for his death every day would be thristing for him and wanting him to be a survivor with the other twinks and finding all kinds of excuses to ignore his pervy creepy nature (or just downright loving that nature and not caring cuz hes "hot"). I know this because- MANY FANS IN THE DANGANROPA COMMUNITY HAVE ADDMITED TO IT!!!

Either way though, I just hope all the characters who died early on (especially the Ultimate imposter) get to live longer so they can shine a lot more. The other characters already had their time in the spotlight. The new scenerio in the remake better not give us the exact same set of survivors by the end... that'd just be super boring.
