I’m so proud of Daniel Howell, but the whole situation has reminded me of why I no longer read nor write fanfiction about real people. I understand how much fun it is to ship and fantasize what your ships are like, but when it’s real people involved you really need to think about the impact your fantasies have on THEM.

Friendships and relationships have been ruined because some fans just don’t know how to separate real life from the fictional one in their minds and it’s so heartbreaking, because you’re hurting the celebrity/person that you care about. Is your ship really so important that you want to make your fav suffer??

I know that the kpop fandoms are super guilty of this because I used to do it too back in high school and I know it’s hard to stop and take a step back to really look at what your actions are causing.

Long story short, just pour all of your heart into shipping fictional people, they don’t exist in the real world so you’re free to fantasize to your heart’s content 🖤
