DannyMay 2026 Day 9: Space

Cosmic Entities and the Space Between

Soooo I decided to do Danny May this year! However I will probs do most of it out of order otherwise I'll never finish :(

Anyway this is my take on eldritch - I took Clockwork as my sacrifice, and was greatly inspired by Mergo's wet-nurse from bloodborne.

I wanted to step away from the fathertime inspiration most take for clockwork, as I always viewed him more merciful, or at least uncaring as the master of time. Maybe more like an exicted mother - more interested in what her child wants to do/does, even if that child is corrupt or the parent veiws it as childish. Since most eldritch beings tend to be more genderless, and some fans headcannon Clockwork as non-binary, I combined the two to create this take, but still with some more feminine aspects.

I also tried to incorporate a death shroud, sort of like a mark death herself leaves upon her children. We cannot guess the future - as they remain unknown through time and face.

(Here's Mergo's wet nurse. Perhaps the realms herself follows around Clockwork - the wails of those dying or dead being the only tell she is present. Like a chant at its height - the opposite of mergo, who's wails will never be answered)

Danny may-twins

I made this drawing originally for danny may but since I don't like some of the promps I might give up on it too easily cuz I am pick and annoying as heck with this type of stuff

But this prompt especifically made me remember and old dp au Idea I had, I could way it was even the first ever au I came up with in my silly little brain that i named: double trouble au

The au came from something I noticed in the fandom. Many people make comics and write fanfics of dani being adopted by the fentons, some even draw her as if she were danny's age but I never saw anyone make an au where she was danny's sister from the beginning as in they were born twins and both got the powers

So from that came the double-trouble au

Where as dani is the far more mischievous and tomboyish twin danny is the more reserved twin

But I quickly forgot about it as I normally do until the moment I saw that prompt and had th idea for the drawing

But as I was drawing the piece for the danny may prompt I realised...I should probably redesign them so they don't look too similar

The have a reason for it since the jumpsuits were probably meant to be similar by their parents but still, they should rightfully have their dinstictions. So after the first drawing I remade their designs

These are mostly just sketches but I like how they turned out.

But in the begining their designs would still probably as simple as they are in the old designs and would only gain more acessories or dinstictions as they grew as heroes if this were to become something serialized like a comic

DANNY

I didn't do anything really outrageous, I mostly kept him the same but to add SOMETHING to differentiate from normal danny(or atleast how I mostly draw him) I gave him a scarf since his ice core would definetly make him a little chilly from time to time, even after learning how to control it with frostbite.

From the two twins he is the only one who has a scar from the portal incident since he was the one who pressed the ON button and dani just happend to be holding his hand at the moment

DANI

She is a little more similar to her cannon counterpart sporting a super cropped Hoodie over the jumpsuit, I also gave her fingerless fighting gloves since she's the more willing of the two to fistfight the villains upfront as well as a pair of Low heel boots and unlike her brother she has a water core.

Where as danny is for more grounded to the outifit they've used since day one of being half-assed, dani is far more sporty and casual with her clothing choices, but a little bit uncritical as well. Heels don't help much on day to day life let alone in crime fighting and with her gloves being fingerless she might leave finger prints behind on some situations and considering that some people like the guys in white come after them from time to time might find those finger prints leading to people possibly learning their identities its NOT really helpfull

Danny Phantom OC!

I've never participated before but I hope this counts for Danny May?

Liam is the art teacher at Casper High! He is in his mid-late 30's, he has chronic insomnia, and he cares deeply for his students.

He uses his ghost powers to protect his school and his kids, though no one knows it's their beloved art teacher the kids at Casper High have dubbed his ghost form the Guardian.

Liam is not your typical halfa as he was born with his powers instead of obtaining them through death! He never knew his parents as they passed when he was young, but after doing some digging Liam believes one of his parents might have been a halfa. It would explain his ghost DNA and the traits he's exhibited his entire life. Having had his powers for as long as he remembers has given him the advantage of being very well versed in his ghostly capabilities. To aid his vigilante endeavors he has also sought out combat and self defense training.

Guardian is considered an annoying but competent ally to Phantom and his crew. The Guardian insists on them calling for backup should there be any attack. They're his kids too, after all. And yes, he does figure out the Fenton/Phantom situation... He uses his actual name... And he's kind of obvious. There have been many transformations accidentally witnessed. For a while he just pretended not to have seen or know anything, but after 3 times in one week—it was getting a little ridiculous. So now the goofy art teacher helps cover for him. Turns out, having a teacher backing you up has a lot of perks. Who'd have thought?

He's not fully fleshed out but there might be more of Liam in the future!
