Thinking about how Sara becomes a cop because she always viewed her dad as a hero and wants to be like him and then she ends up being a monster hunter… like her dad. Roundabout ways of living up to his legacy. She has more in common with him as a monster hunter than as a cop, anyway, with him being a detective in the big city and her getting stuck with traffic duty in a small town. She didn’t even know that she was following in his footsteps until she saw the mirror in Tallahassee. She did become a hero like her dad and didn’t even know it.
And also the flashback to her childhood and he says he wouldn’t want her to be a cop, and how he left her the quartz cross when he died… I feel like he would be more proud of her as a monster hunter than as a cop.
