Can I just say that it's super fucked-up that the TEACHERS twisted Sam's request's for trying out a new menu so that they could eat all the meat while forcing the kids to eat LITERAL DIRT, as a vegetarian (not vegan) I will say, WE DON'T EAT DIRT!
Those teachers got free meals by making children eat dirt from a football field, and that is not okay (and not Sam's fault). Especially when later in the episode we can actually see that there is a large portion of kids at the school who don't eat meat (when they're protesting with Sam for proper non-meat options). It's also probably cheaper to buy 50% meat 50% veggies too, they could serve salad (lettuce, carrots, cherry tomatoes) which would be cheaper to buy weekly.
