A bit suggestive but I wanted to doodle a quick thing related to how i view Knuckles and Rouge and the evolution of their relationship with my headcanons.

When Rouge starts realizing she doesn’t just flirt and tease Knuckles for her own entertainment but instead starts becoming flustered herself she isn’t so amused. Especially when Knuckles has such a hard head and is completely oblivious to her shift in feelings. Suddenly the jokes of her being a damn thief and that she’s hanging around him only to steal his master emerald don’t land quite right anymore. They suddenly sting. So Rouge starts getting really upset at Knuckles more often and he doesn’t understand her recent mood-swings.
