Thank you for ruining the best character to have ever graced television.
Thank you for taking probably one of the greatest feminist icons there has ever been. I’m literally holding back tears right now because of what you’ve done. I looked up to this character. She made me feel strong in my weakest moments. She made me think I could overcome anything.
Every victory I cheered for her, and I hailed it as a victory for women every where.
Captain Marvel, Black Widow, Gamora, Wonder Woman, yes, they all made me feel powerful too, but nothing like Daenerys. Daenerys made me feel brave-that it didn’t matter how weak I felt, because I could overcome it. And now you’ll give the throne to a man, just as it was always meant to be.
And to George R.R. Martin, I say the same to you, if this was your plan for her all along.
Shame on all of you.
I hope you never get another job, and especially never a job where you have the power to represent women.
