I'd like to think that, when it comes to swearing/cursing, Percy is the one who DOESN'T do it. He was raised right by Sally Jackson for goodness sake! She drilled into him early in his life that swearing doesn't lead to anything good, especially in communication and arguments. So when Percy is frustrated? Oh jeez louise. Angry at someone? Back off man!
You know who DOES swear like a sailor? Annabeth Chase. Tell me she wasn't exposed to that kind of language while on the road with Thalia and Luke, continuing on in camp where there's no repercussions for bad behaviour as long as there's no maiming or killing. Her favourite curse? YOU PIECE OF SHIT, MOTHER FUCKING STUPID, IGNORANT, IDIOT, YEAH YOU BETTER RUN COWARD— Yeah... Needless to say, Percy is always scandalised when he hears her go off like that.
I've always felt connected to Percy Jackson, and it's because of his fatal flaw
The past few episodes of season 2, we've seen more and more how Percy reacts at the thought of his friends being in danger. We see his determination to find Grover, to bring him back to camp and to safety. We see him take care of Tyson, of being broken at believing he's dead. We see him protect Annabeth, time and time again, on Princess Andromeda, on the Ironclad, on Circe's island and the Sirens. Especially when we see him realise what his fatal flaw is, he admits to Annabeth, and to himself, that he would doom camp to save Grover, that he would burn down Olympus for Annabeth's safety.
In the episode 6, we see what happens when one of Percy's friends is truly in danger. His anxiety when Annabeth starts fighting Polyphemus. His frustration for being trapped in a cave and not able to help. His horror at seeing Annabeth in critical condition. His worry when Tyson shows up to fight Polyphemus off, and his alarm when Tyson pushes them both off the cliff. His anger at Luke appearing and panic at the thought of Luke hurting Annabeth more. His resolve at stealing the fleece from Clarisse, despite it meaning he's giving it to the enemy, all for the chance to heal Annabeth.
To go back to my point, Percy's loyalty mirrors my own. I love my friends, my family, my partner, all of them mean the world to me. I protect them from anything that may hurt them; I threaten those who dare to mess with them; I would burn everything to the ground if it means that they're safe.
Many things have happened to my loved ones that made me feel like Percy in ep 6. I have quite literally fought with others, physically and verbally, to protect my best friends. I bit someone once to make them let go of my then partner, which is something I shouldn't take pride in but I do. People have told me that I'm too scary and they don't like it, but I just tell them to not hurt my friends and to just fuck off.
tl;dr Percy is me and I am Percy
Percy Jackson and his Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day

SPOILER FREE
I absolutely love that the show is feels more solid, like they knew what they wanted and were doing for this season, and it really shows through the pacing, writing and acting. Everything from visual effects to the sets and the dialogue is so perfect that I can't imagine how much better the next seasons will be.
Ngl I just found out a detail I forgot in Last Olympian where Thalia saves Percy n Annabeth from a falling statue of Hera, and said statue traps her legs, but...
What if the statue did some major damage to Thalia's legs that not even the strongest of nectars can fix it? What if she's bound to using mobility aids to help her go on about her day?
Just imagine Thalia rolling into camp in her wheelchair with the rest of the Hunters of Artemis, shades on, popping bubblegum and just being an overall menace to the camp. She always goes up to Chiron and asks to have a race with him and other wheelchair-bound campers just to prove she's gotten better and better at moving with her aid.
Imagine Thalia messing with the newbie campers by asking them to help her train at the arena. These poor kids, seeing a forever baby-face Thalia on a wheelchair, assume that they need to go easy on her because of her condition; only to get a their asses handed to them by a literal moving electric conductor, THE daughter of Zeus, using her god-given electrokinesis to direct it through not only her spear, but also her wheelchair that has hidden spikes in the wheels. She loves teaching the kids to never underestimate the opponent just because they're disabled (and it does wonders for her ego of beating some of the more ableist kids).
BUT BUT BUT
Imagine whenever the phantom pain in Thalia's legs just get too much for her to ignore, she goes to sit near her pine tree, the one that her father turned her into when her death was imminent. She doesn't remember being a tree, but if she did, she would remember not being able to move from her spot, not being able to do the things she used to do, and forced to stay in place, to stay put, because there's nothing else she can do.... She thinks that there are days when being a tree and being in her wheelchair has no difference.
Something about Luke wearing this fit while poisoning Thalia's tree is so evil bc wdym he's the hottest man alive but is beating kids up cos he's beefing w the gods 😭
I love how these two have a similar smile, like if I saw them smiling down the street I would think "ah brothers"
