The first proposal scene is quite possibly the most important scene in Pride and Prejudice. It's importance to both Lizzy and Darcy's character arcs and also the story arc as a whole is indescribable. It enables both Lizzy and Darcy to get everything out on the table and so the ball that is the story finally starts gaining momentum. It allows both of them to see the other from another perspective, and also as who they truly are, rather than the person that they thought they saw at first, thereby clearing the way for them to be happy together.

I want Tom to go ice fishing and then fall into a hole and then Greg sees him and gets flustered bc Tom took his clothes off but he’s not being sexy he just has hypothermia

i want greg to panic like he did in the safe room. i want him fully out of it, going in circles around tom, who is just lying on the ice because greg is too shocked to realise keeping him there is going to make things worse. i want greg muttering 'what do i do. what do i do' to himself over and over. and i want tom, fucking nearly blue, teeth chattering from the cold, to go 'call me an ambulance, idiot' before passing out.
