i'm sorry but the one thing that stops me from calling marvel's daredevil a great, perfect show is the way they wrote frank versus elektra in s2. they framed it in a way where people have sympathy for frank right away but elektra is reduced to her relationship/past with matt and the audience was never given a chance to humanize her and think of her as a victim and abused character like frank. christ, they waited until defenders to give us flashbacks of her childhood abuse/trauma which only made people a little sympathetic in the end, but there was so much more they could've done. female characters will always be written with less care than male characters.

If the Daredevil show deals with politics and classism, Jessica Jones exposes sexism and Luke Cage deals with racism, then the next big Netflix/Marvel show will be about a LGBTQ hero, right?
