Slight spoiler for my upcoming profiles: One of my sets of 5 is going to be Signer-inspired decks, not really copying an anime character's deck but using their strategy to greater effect than the AI does. Ironically, despite him being my favorite character, Jack Atlas's was the one I've struggled with the most, because his theme is hard to pin down beyond "Dragons and also Fiends" and the only Resonator support card in Over the Nexus is Resonator Engine, which I've tried to make work but the Resonators available are just... so bad. I started with a Flamvell Resonator deck, then tried a weird Archfiend Normal Monster deck trying to use Falling Down and Symbols of Duty with Power Tool Dragon, then tried a regular Archfiend deck with Pandemonium, and after deciding that Archfiends were just too bad to be playable, I finally settled on a Fiend Synchro type of deck with the Stygian cards. It FEELS clever and effective but if it weren't for Dark Resonator and Vice Dragon, which I CAN justify playing because they're both good here, it wouldn't feel much like a Jack deck. Maybe I can try to fit Flare Resonator in here somehow?

Resonator Gift Normal Spell If you have 3 or more "Resonator" monsters with different names in your GY: Draw 2 cards. If your monster(s) Synchro Summoned using a "Resonator" monster as material would be destroyed by battle or card effect, you can banish this card from your GY instead. You can only activate 1 "Resonator Gift" per turn.

Leo and Luna have another Duel Carnival going on too! Here’s their event-specific dialogue.

Luna: Let’s check out today’s theme! It’s...Fiends! Leo: It’s the type that Jack uses a lot! Luna: So does Kalin. Fiends make up a huge part of his Infernities. Leo: There are so many different kinds of Fiends that i don’t know which to pick! Luna: Riiiiiight. You’re just going to choose the one with the highest ATK. Leo: Gulp! How did you know? Luna: The whole world knows. Leo: Then let’s get to it! I choose this one! The Synchro Monster, Chaos King Archfiend! Luna: Then I’ll pick...The Tuner Monster, Dark Resonator! Leo: They’re both Jack’s cards! Luna: Well, technically...Chaos King Archfiend is Kaz’s card--that guy in Sector Security. Leo: Oh yeah. Jack borrowed it to take down the gang that was stealing Duel Runners. Luna: This Synchro Monster not only has high ATK, but its effect lets it swap ATK and DEF. Leo: The Dark Resonator you chose is one of Jack’s favorite Tuner Monsters! Luna: Once per turn, it can’t be destroyed by battle. So you can use it to Synchro Summon next turn! Leo: That’s how Jack was able to Synchro Summon Red Dragon Archfiend a bazillion times!
