GOOD EVENING, LIKERS!!! How has your week been so far? It's been an #odd energy week so far here. It's also been some weird weather here in San Diego. Is there something in the air?

Other than that...tardiness. I meant me. If there was a running theme (besides odd energy) this week it would be running late.

But now that I'm #here...it's time for EDITING, TYPING, AND WRITING.

EDITING. Last week I mentioned that it was going to be a heavy editing week. Well...not as much as I would have liked. LOL. Slow and steady indeed.

But there has been editing going on. It started with fits and starts. And then, I finally got to sit down and just #focus. From there, it came together.

The blog...edited. That #darkenverse project that I'm working on...in progress.

But...off and running.

TYPING. Goodreads review done. And enjoyed. It was a local #author. And I was happy to see that she saw it.

Meanwhile, my blog has been finished. Fingers crossed for this #weekend.

WRITING. It has been...quiet. I'm shocked.

But...I'm sure I will find time. I do not want to lose the #consistency.

And that is how the week is looking.

Status update: So what is that saying...?

Oh, yes...#WeAreSoBack.

I've been busy with my latest book (which is available at https://www.amazon.com/Other-Half-Lives-LaTorre-Mays-ebook/dp/B0D59R5X3Y ), however the #darkenverse has not been too far from my mind. In fact, it has been there for a while under my 'what should I do next?' list.

So what have I've been working on?

A little novella about those #shifters I call the Forryn. I used to post short stories under my NOTES section before Facebook thought it was funny to take them away. Only to bring them back. lol.

In any case, it has been a case of #worldbuilding. It was something that I've been doing in the short stories. And definitely been on my mind since I introduced the Forryn in DARKCHILDE ( https://www.amazon.com/Darkchilde-Darkened-2-LaTorre-Mays-ebook/dp/B01JGQ3ISE ).

For now...let me get back to this #writing that I've been working on regularly this week.

GOOD AFTERNOON, LIKERS!!! It looks like it was another #hot day. It has also been a weird day as well. Like something was off. Or there's something just in the air.

Still has not stopped me from keeping a #consistent workout routine. I love that. Being consistent about it again. It felt weird for me when I have rest days.

It can be the same for writing.

So I couldn't help, but wonder if I was measuring up on this fine #tuesday. And there was one way to find out. Otherwise known as...it's time for EDITING, TYPING, and WRITING.

EDITING. God, I was so happy. Very happy.

It had taken some time. But I was happy to see myself at the end of all of my research that I've been doing for this leg of my next writing project. As I've mentioned, there was a good chance it was going to be a #darkenverse project, too. I haven't touched my world since DARKENED TABULA.

There were some things that I wanted to #DoubleCheck. Outside of that, I was gearing up to be ready.

TYPING. Speaking of #gearing...there appeared to be a side-effect to some of the writing that I've been doing as of late. And that side-effect...was me having my elusive #blog on my mind. Day in and day out this past weekend, I debated what I wanted to write about next.

This morning, I woke up. I turned on my laptop. And then I brought up my blog files. And from there, I started on an #introduction.

I was not doing what I originally planned. At least, not yet. I was going to do something #different.

Still...excited to be working on something new. Inspiration springs.

WRITING. And my inspiration...started as a small thing.

I had mentioned that while I was trying to #decide what to do as my next writing project that I was still writing. I had that itch. And I found time to work on it. Usually in the park...LOL.

There were several ideas that came to mind. Nothing firm. But #still...it would keep my #writing muscle up and working.

With that in mind, I did something that I had not done in a loooong time...*cough*2016*cough*...and that was write on a break. It was a good #technique to be sure a writer had time to write in a busy work schedule. For me, I would go on my 30-minute break. I would eat. But that last 10 minutes? I would straight up #write.

It might seem small. But 10 minutes...become 20 minutes. And 20 minutes can turn into several paragraphs. If one got consistent breaks...something I don't...then eventually a writer could see the #fruits of one's labor. In my case...usually...a book to edit.

But because I found the time to write...I saw that I kept wanting to do it. Write. And as a result...my mind kept trying to find ways over the last few days to do so. Projects. Journaling. And I saw it circled all the way back around to my blog.

So...more to be coming.

GOOD MORNING, LIKERS!!! How was your #fourthofjuly? I found mine to be full of revelations. Not just limited to #fireworks. ;)

I know I'm trying to keep my mood #still. Not to mention focused. So with that in mind...it's time, you all!!! And by that I mean EDITING, TYPING, and WRITING.

EDITING. Well, this past week has found me working on new #Teasers. Not much, but every little thing counts after all. And for what teasers I've done so far for my latest #darkenverse story, those could be found pinned to the top of the wall at www.facebook.com/darkenverse .

So...more coming. ;)

TYPING. I was #pushing myself.

My main focus this week had been typing.

I had been typing up the last 100 pages of HOW THE OTHER HALF LIVES in 10 to 20 pages blocks. Sometimes it was fun. Sometimes it was slow as heck. Other times it felt therapeutic. Then again, given those last few chapters really hit a little too close to home for me, I also felt my #nerves flinching a bit.

In any case, I felt like I was off of my deadline for myself already...especially if HOW THE OTHER HALF LIVES was going to go through its editing/rewrite process.

So I was #adamant. This week, I was finishing my typing. Moreso because I knew my work schedule was about to be brutal. So I expected to be done by the end of the weekend.

53 pages to go.

Tick, tock...

WRITING. Nothing like sitting at the pier at #sunset. lol.

To be fair, I was getting waaaaay too restless since I've been done writing HOW THE OTHER HALF LIVES. While I kinda enjoyed that slow period after it, it was time to get back to writing again. And for me that was a trip back to the Darkenverse. Goodness knew I could tell my characters missed me.

There was the Darkenverse project that I was currently working on. So I sat at the pier and continued on it, as the sun fell behind the #clouds. In the wings, I still had to do more research for the settings on DARKENED SOUL: THE BREAKING OF CIRCLES. And that had a looooot of research that I knew that I had to do...long overdue in fact. And then there was Book 4 in my DARKENED series.

But #fornow...I was back to writing. And looked forward to each session this week. :)
