"I really hoped that I explained it all correctly." Sounds correct enough to me x) To be fair, it must not be easy explaining something you remember only part of. Must feel like trying to tell a dream but even worse.

And also, it's something they didn't know was possible so now they're all worried. Imagine someone telling you their new antidepressants or insuline pump has a conscience.

Aw! Implant can talk to her and hug her mentally!

"I felt like a continuation of that gay girl. The same couldn't be said about the sad one." Hmmm, yeah, I'm not sure how I feel about that. I mean, it's good Evie feels happy now, but to feel like nothing but a continuation of a part of your past self sounds very extreme. I guess you're technically always a continuation of your past self, but you're supposed to feel like yourself, even if you keep changing all the time. Not sure if I'm clear right now.

"We mentally cuddled." I chuckled, that is so cute x)

"I'm going to need a little private time with you to make sure everything went smoothly and to get to know your implant." Oh? Is she going to use hypnosis to talk to Implant ?

Aw, we didn't get to see it...

XD I love Evie's surprise at her own face being the same Implant had in her dream.

It's sweet that Evie is worried about Abies acting differently for her. And Implant is so cute when she gets all flustered from compliments !

It must be weird seeing yourself all drugged up when you don't feel it.

They're doing the body paint right away? Wow. I mean, no time like the present but it's still pretty fast. I'd need to plan an afternoon around it if I were to try that.

It's cute that Abies can give Implant orders out loud, but don't the Affini have other methods of doing that? Is it a way to acknowledge Implant as a sophont?

It's so cute that Abies shares what he's doing with the rest of their... I want to say family, that's what they feel like. They're a big complexe polycule but it's obvious how much they care about each other.

Anyway, that group chat? So sweet and relatable.

This was absolutely lovely, I really liked the painting scene. The way Evie's feelings are described is so nice, if a little wordy at times, but I like that kind of style. The way she feels so blissful being an object, being adorned and made into art, very intense and yet understandable. It reminds me of the rare times I allowed my sister or my friend to put makeup on me x) Ngl, I kinda want to try bodypainting after reading this x)

Lost & Found by Darkfalli - Chapter 1 : Defective

Yeah, I'm starting with the story I'm on right now. I don't feel like re-reading the stories I have already read just to blog them. Maybe I will, someday, but right now I'm doing this one.

First reaction looking at the tags : looks like there's the usual stuff. Imperialism, drugs, noncon (rebels in there?), hypnosis (yes please!)

There's multiple partners and I love that, I love how many hdg stories so far have poly and trans characters.

Apparently, there is also bondage, which is cool; blood and sadomasochism, which I don't like as much. Also parasite/symbiote and predator/prey. That's new, I don't think I saw those tags in other stories. Kind of intrigued.

The notes say the first chapter is sad but it gets better. Love that hurt/comfort, let's go!

They mentionned Abscission, I should probably make myself a list of which stories I'm reading next...

"I could crawl over to my owner. My paws touched the ground. Implant laughed at me the whole way. I couldn't tell why because this was how I normally walked." Huh, I wonder if some hypnosis happened here x)

Evie being excited about her present is just... fohfoyfuitdgjidhcute

"Oh Stars, what if it was a giant plushie of Implant! That would be so cute. I could curl up in a plushie of Implant and then go inside and cuddle Implant at the same time!" That made me laugh x) Man this is cute.

Wait what? A new body?

I'm a bit lost. Was that planned?

Is Evie going to be digitized or something ? How is she getting inside a new body?

Oh, she did get hypnotized! Okay, I got that right x)

Okay, we're talking about how Evie wants to date Implant now. It's really adorable how Implant is making excuses, but can we get back to explaining how the new body is going to happen ???

Aw, look at Evie communicating with Implant and reassuring her and being so patient... Okay, that is precious.

"It wasn't like Implant could get her own implant," OMG can you imagine? XD You give Implant an implant, and then that implant becomes sentient and needs its own implant etc. XDD That would be so weird.

"Coming to terms with existing is… hard." Weirdly deep sentence there. There was something like that in my high school philosophy class.

"Was that an order?""That was me lightly begging." That made me laugh XD

It's very touching, the way Evie has evolved and is now able to help Implant who is almost like another version of herself.

*Gasp!* Omg, having the painting of Implant on the back of the new body is such a good idea!

But then again... Can someone explain how that's going to happen??? I'm still confused here! I just want confirmation!

"Of course, I couldn't say no to my second floret." OMG!!!

"I-I'm not- I'm an implant- I can't be a floret!""That's where you are wrong, little Implant Glacialis-Fir, Second and Fourth Floret." OMGOMGOMGOMG!!!!!! Implant has a full name now!!! This is so precious, gods, my heart!

Oh, okay, we got some explanations. Surgery, huh? So... They put Evie's brain and Implant in the robot body? Okay. Not sure I love that, but weirder things have happened in sci-fi.

Thank gods Evie is surrounded by good people and has Implant to keep her calm, I can't imagine switching bodies and being unable to move much at first could be a pleasant experience otherwise.

I don't have much to say about the doll-play. It's good! And it was kind of obvious Evie would love it.

I like how free Synna is. She's a floret but I think she's one of the most independant florets I've seen so far. I like that! ^^

I still love the way Dianthus speaks, it's so pretty! So she waited alone with Evie and Implant because she knew she would wake up soon? So she could mark them before anyone else got to see them? Talk about being excited! XD And the way she needs reassurance, even though she's the mistress, is so precious. I didn't think so at first, but I think she might actually be my favorite of the three.

Huh, Dianthus spoke normally. Was she too emotional? That would be understandable.

Heehee, Nilla is so cute!

Such a good ending! There is a post-script too!

Oh, yay, she's finishing the sculpture! And being painted on at the same time x) That's funny.

"I was going to make it so colorful that looking at it would turn straight terrans gay." XD I like that sentence.

Aw, that was so sweet. Going to sleep, cuddled close to her master. <3

Okay, so that was the end of Lost & Found, and man was it good! Loved the characters, the fluff, the creative way that Evie just... exists. I don't know, it felt so unique! I'm glad I finally finished it x) Sorry it took so long, that's what generally happens when I finally fall out of a phase x)

The first chapters were angsty, but it really made Evie's thriving and recovering from her trauma so much more meaningful. That's why I love hurt/comfort, just getting to see people feel better is so soothing.

I wouldn't say this last chapter was the most impactful or powerful. It wraps things up, but I feel like it could've hit a little harder. Don't ask me how though, I'm terrible at figuring out endings XD

It was very cute though, and Evie finally getting to finish her sculpture is a nice touch. Maybe letting her finish it completely would have been more satisfying? Or saying something about how there was still so much too add, the same way she still had so much to experience with her masters, as a contrast with her nearly suicidal behavior in the first chapters. Just spitballing here.

Anyway, yeah, that was great!

Phew, I'm back! Sorry for taking so long, I got tired, and then busy. Yes, it will happen again.

Woooh, the notes say there is more hunting in this chapter apparently! I'm pretty excited, I think I like it.

XD Paeonia can be kinky too ! I hope she is vigilant though because naked baking is not safe at all! Even with an apron!

Woah, the paint is still there! Cool, it's like tatoos!

Evie is less like a tiger and more like a cute eager puppy x) It's adorable how happy she is when she is praised and how much she loves to help!

Of course Synna would comment on the apron x)

Mmmmmh, nice soft cookies... The bakery next to my bus stop in high school had the best half-baked white chocolate cookies ever. I miss it... Never quite managed to get the same texture by myself.

Ah, the turmoil of asking a girl out... Well, two girls here x) My technique is mostly just to blurt it out and run but Evie's doing great XD

XD oh gosh that last little line ! "Oh and the cookies! We had cookies too." That was so cute!

Wow, and here comes the hunting scene ! Honestly, it doesn't sound like a bad time but it certainly must be intense!

I love the little details about how Implant is helping Evie, helping her talk or move quickly and safely. Evie doesn't seem to always realize it, but I find that precious!

Dianthus should write movies, the dialogues would be incredible x)

And caught!

I'm not really into pain, but the way Evie associates it with having someone's attention makes me understand it a little more.

Not much to say about that BDSM scene. The descriptions are excellent, it's so easy to get lost in Evie's feelings.

Omg a soft aftercare scene !

Dianthus was feeling anxious? That's pretty new, and I like it. She cares so much about her florets, it's adorable.

Comfort and communication, we love to see it!

This was a really nice chapter, hot and fluffy like homemade cakes x) There isn't much happening, everyone seems to be enjoying themselves and that's great, I love it when we get to see more slice-of-life stuff.

The next chapter seems to be the last one and you can feel the end coming but it's not boring at all, just warm fuzzies ^^

"Paeonia took the word from me." It took two whole paragraphs for me to realize she had been hypnotizing her to help her out of her self-loathing. X)

It is a bit spooky to have someone who can guess everything you're thinking...

"Synna had bad girl vibes, but like in a good way. Like a hot bad-girl." Evie is so gay, it's adorable x)

Aw, it took so long for her to realize what Paeonia meant x) This is just pure cuteness so far.

"Talking stuff"? What does she mean? Oh! Oh, actual talking therapy! Oh that's awesome! :D

"Synna was gone… again." I wonder if Synna has a job or something. Since she had bodymods to look like a succubus, I'm inclined to think she's a sex worker or something in that vein, but really it could be anything. It'd be so funny if she had like, the most mundane job, like a cashier or a gardner, while looking like a demon x)

"It was a very delicious looking cookie that affini food science miraculously kept at that perfect fresh out of the oven consistency" gaaaaah, I'm hungry now x)

Oh no :( That's so sad! She was enjoying her cookie and it was going fine and then those stupid thought got in there again :( Man, poor Evie, that trauma does run really deep, doesn't it. And on top of that, since she's been doing hypnosis, the thoughts can't get in the same way, it must feel so bad. No wonder she panicked.

"I don't have a crush on Abies! I'm a lesbian!" Aw, so glad we're kinda exploring out of the rules of attraction. Yeah, sometimes, the person you end up crushing on isn't your type, and that's okay! There is more to a person than gender or looks.

"Beloved doll, and darling dearest prey, enamoured by her gentle, quiet gay, to whom she can't confess, or bear to say, she did already give her heart away." I love every line Dianthus says, the poetic style is so nice ^^

"You may enter, oh tree of merry." Did-did she just call him a christmas tree? x)

Oh, so when Evie is starting to have bad thoughts, the hypnosis triggers pet mode? x) That's pretty nice, but it must not be very convenient. Hopefully, with time, she won't need it anymore.

Well of course she's crushing on everyone x) She's getting so much love!

I like the explaining of different types of attraction, it's always nice to see!

"The xenodrugs were the soup and they souped my thoughts." XD I really like that line, it's so funny!

XD Once Evie realizes how many people she's attracted to she'll be cuddling the entire planet/ship.

"Gosh, he was saying that a lot of affini basically pretended to gender… I mean they were shapeshifters." Not only that... They are freaking plants! x)

Gosh, I needed that after the previous one x) But man, it was so cute!! So soft!!! So adorable! The date was incredibly sweet. I'm Daisy the spying waitress x)

I also really liked the serious talk about gender and attraction and presentation and Evie realizing she has a crush on Abies. I must admit, I wasn't expecting it, I hadn't really paid attention to the relationship tags.

Anyway, this was very good and gay and apparently the next chapter is even gayer. I am so excited about this!!

Wellness Check by Darkfalli - Chapter 2 : In Bad Health

"Wait…how the shit did I just sleep? How the stars did I get into my bed?" x) Well, you were thinking so much you didn't notice the giant plant injecting you with sleeping drugs. So that should be a sign that you might need help paying attention to your surroundings?

Ooh, ouch, yeah, that's why you don't just jump out of bed...

Oh, hey, nevermind, Cyathea caught her!

"I was going to learn that affini networking stuff, and I was going to snoop on her eating habits, and send the affini her favorite foods." Oh yeah, mhm, such a bold revenge XD I love it, it sounds like she's not even listening to herself.

"overpowered alien nanny" x) This is so funny

I know I mentionned it already but I love the way Darkfalli uses the narration for characterization. So far, each pov in each story has had something different about it and it's really great.

"I buried my face in my hands and muffled a scream. Digitalis found my smut server." Oh no XD Oh, that is embarrassing. I mean, I'm not particularly private about my kinks but there are things I would never want anyone to just find like that so yeah, very relatable XD

So the vet is here and... "Also, uh, non-human genitals… why did my mind jump to tentacles?" Omg, that's the first thing crossing your mind??? XD

I love the way every response from the vet makes Aster want to just one-up or out-weird him XD

"Also, really fucking awkward of a conversation to have with a xeno who fucking broke into my home at the request of another xeno fern bitch." I mean, when you put it that way, then yeah, true.

x) So now, that's the second time Aster has been knocked out by an Affini, I think I'd be a bit annoyed about it by now if I were her.

Wow, yeah, Aster is rude XD But to be fair, she's angry. A lot, now that I think about it.

I actually feel a little bad for Cyathea. She really has incredible patience. If I were her, I would be so upset that someone I'm trying to help is being so mean.

"I had a lot of applications in sandboxed VMs simply because they couldn't run natively on my OS and also because it was more secure." We're getting into vocabulary I'm not entirely familiar with x) I love the internet but I can barely understand how it works.

Oh gosh, Cyathea's last name is Brownii and I don't know if that's a botanicaly term but it sounds like brownie and that's so freaking cute!!!

"You have a number of psychological issues, including your agoraphobia, autism, anxiety, depression, asocial tendencies, insomnia, and attention issues." And a partridge in a pear tree~

I just keep laughing, this character's narration is just so funny x)

Aw, here comes the trauma. :( Aster is spiralling into bad thoughts and trying to repress it. Poor girl.

"An awful wretched cry of pain slipped out and kept slipping out." Oh gosh, I've known that :( Oh Aster...

The description of being too depressed and tired and emotional to move is on point, maybe just a bit too close to home

I like that Cyathea is really giving Aster choices every step of the way, especially since she needs to feel in control. Using the blue or red flower, giving her the option to stop or keep going. It's nice. I feel like she's trying to do that more than other affini in other stories.

Okay, Cyathea is literally a saint for being able to deal with Aster and stay calm. It reminds me of having to explain to a spoiled kid why they have to take showers and eat their veggies. With more insults. Considering what we learned about how Aster's parents dealt with her autism, it'd make sense she has even more problems understanding what is healthy and what isn't. I don't know if I'm making any sense. Basically, trauma.

Alright, so far, I really like the way we're learning about Aster, what she is like and why. There was a lot of relatable stuff in here, I feel a bit emotional myself ^^'

Maybe it's me projecting but Cyathea feels very maternal. Makes sense, of course, but the way she deals with Aster's bullshit with the patience of freaking Buddha really reminds me of having to deal with a kid's tantrums. I really like that though. Of course, it's exactly what Aster needs, that's what that story is for x)

Pretty excited about what's to come! This is really good!

Okay, it's been a while, let's get back into the world of giant plants ^^

We've got the usual tags, noncon, drugs, petplay, mind control, no surprise there x) Multiple partners, love that. Spoiler tags say body swapping, I think that's a first? Also robots and memory play. I am intrigued ^^ Also, it seems we're getting a bratty human in this one x)

First paragraph and already, this is at the very beginning of the takeover, isn't it?

Ah, another protagonist having trouble adulting huh?

""Hello flower, I'm here for a wellness check-up. According to our data, you haven't been out of your home for three months and we're worried about you."Gah, the stupid giant plant alien was calling me a shut-in like all my coworkers did. The monster!" I don't know what makes me crack up so much about this part, it sounds very silly x)

Why doesn't she just say something if she doesn't want the affini to come in? She's literally just waiting for them to leave on their own?

Oh! I didn't realise she was just scared! I feel like maybe this could have been clearer, but also I'm a bit slow.

It's nice cause both points of view are very easy to understand. I would also probably start crying if an alien broke into my home, but I would also be very worried if someone lived in filth and never went outside.

"no orbital space cannon I happen to have memorized the access codes to after the contract work was done." XD that's either foreshadowing or a very funny detail.

The affini is offering to get pizza to replace unhealthy food. Is pizza considered healthy? Fresh pizza with veggies probably is, all things considered.

Huh, is our protagonist mute? No, wait, she spoke earlier. I wonder why she prefered to type what she wanted then...

"A slithering of vines flowed out and placed my door back where it was supposed to be." XD Reminds me of that scene in Megamind.

OMG, the message filled with heart emojis XD I like this Digitalis already.

XD I would be mad at having undesired pop ups too, but again, why don't you just ask for no more messages ? Yeah, I know they're aliens and the gouvernment has been feeding everyone propaganda for years at that point, but has the idea not crossed her mind at all?

Or maybe they're just like "Oh, this human probably needs enrichment." XD

And to be fair, they might be right XD But with that kind of priorities, it may have not been the best call.

Oh, her name is Aster! Like my favorite Nu:Carnival character! :D

Okay, this is more of an attention problem than a priorities problem x)

Hah, she thought she could trick the big plants. Nope, they are not leaving you alone.

Oh, I feel bad for her now. And I kind of understand, I love the internet too, and something you love being replaced is scary and heartbreaking. Losing control over it when your life is already a mess is painful too. I like where the author went with this character. I like that we have a character who needs to feel in control.

It's nice how Aster is starting to accept being taken care of, and how understanding her case worker is being. I was a bit afraid she might be marked for domestication after the space cannon comment x)

Oh, wait, so I was right about the "enrichment" thing, she was giving her something to solve! Hah, nice!

Cyathea is such a pretty name!

I get why Aster is angry at having to move though. Even if it's not the best, your home is your home.

The obligatory moment where the human still doesn't understand that stuff is free now.

A very nice first chapter, good characterization, funny jokes x) I feel like Aster has autism, or something, not an expert but it's pretty clear there is something probably undiagnosed. Feels very classic, still the usual sad human meets caring affini trope, but that's what we read these stories for, isn't it? Excited about what comes next!
