Today the criticism is not aimed at typical antis but rather at parts of the Darklina fandom that ruin the image of Aleksander and, honestly, Alina as well. These are people whose actions could easily be mistaken for antis behavior and even worse, it mostly involves Ben himself. I have stayed silent for too long but honestly, I have to say this now. On one of the older Darklina servers that has existed since 2021 I have seen the behavior of some users who should know better—behavior that is not only uncomfortable but completely unacceptable.
Some of these women are married. Some are mothers. Many are nearing forty. And yet they shamelessly sexualize Ben in ways that are outright disgusting. They post and spread pornographic edits with his face pasted onto explicit gay photos. Then they act as if this is something clever, funny, or artistic. It is not, it is disturbing, it is tasteless. And above all—it is wrong. It is a full steam sexualization.
Can we stop pretending this would be okay if the roles were reversed? If a group of adult men did something like this to an actress—cutting out her face and putting it into porn videos, writing graphic fantasies about her—it would be called what it is: disgusting and degrading. Outrage would follow immediately and those men would be cancelled within minutes. So why is it suddenly acceptable when it is about a man? Why is it ignored when it concerns Ben?
These double standards are disgusting. What is worse, many of these women call themselves writers. As if adding a weak plot to sex scenes somehow makes them literature. No, dear ladies. Writing porn with a bit of dialogue is not the same as being a writer. It is not deep or creative. Adding watermelon juice to a sex scene is not beautiful in any way and putting Ivan, Fedyor, and Alina in a love triangle watched by Aleksander is not Darklina. At best it is low-level fanservice like from Temu, at worst objectification. Using the names, images, Aleksander, Alina, or especially a real person in these fantasies crosses a line no one should cross.
This is not just a matter of taste—it is a matter of respect. Respect for boundaries and for another human being. And if someone claims to admire Ben so much maybe they should respect him instead of treating him like a fantasy toy they can use as they please. Maybe it would be better to just get special toys for that.
Honestly it is very sad to see parts of the fandom that could be filled with thoughtful discussions, love for the characters, and real creativity dragged into this mess. These women are not fangirling. They are crossing ethical lines. They are teaching younger fans that this kind of behavior is normal. It is not. Truly it is not.
What's worse, among these people is the creator of the largest petition collecting votes for the renewal of SaB and a person who pretended to be a scared person on another server the entire time she was there, on the one I'm writing about she has no problem with sexualizing Ben..
