"could you just be a little less annoying"
I think that we have gotten used to that if we perceive someone as annoying that we suddenly think we've got all the right to try to "fix" that person or be an asshole to them. Instead of it perceiving of two persons just being on different wavelengths.
Especially if you are on a date, don't tell someone how to react. Don't tell someone to "relax" don't ask someone to be less energetic. If you can't handle it it's your problem, not theirs. On a date you try to see if you two are a match, not to alter someone into your perfect partner.
If you are at a party and think someone's humour is too loud, don't tell them to shut up. You either move away, or you say that it's not really your kind of humor, that you are not comfortable with the sarcasm etc.
Ask people to alter their behavior to make you comfortable, not to change them into what you think should be "normal"
